I'm 66 and I love every song they have ever done. I hope they are super successful all their lives. They have given me so much joy.
So, I have loved these guys from the very start, and saw them when I was about 8 months pregnant with my daughter Scarlett. I will never forget the sensation of a belly full of swimming baby, vibrating to the beat of the music. She is now 9, and still loves PTM.
Enjoying my day listening to this music. Love it! I'm 64 and we use Feel It Still in our mix of music in Jazzercise exercise class. Exploring today, I found all the other songs. Love Modern Jesus too. New fan here!

Saw these guys at the Tacoma Dome with Bernie Sanders ... Bernie was great ... these guys were ELECTRIC! Glad I stood in line for 4 hours.
I was there too! Fantastic night. PTM was GREAT live, and Eddie Vedder was 6 people to my left.

I’m 52, an old hardcore punk rocker, I find this music well written, simple catchy songs with bits of intricacy but never too much. From mellow moody to some rock n roll and great melody in both music and vocals. Awesome band
Can't tell you how many times I've listened to this. It's a great jumping off point for the band before diving into their older material.

@@LambentLark do you know the story behind the name? They might have been inspired by their "home" in Matanuska-Susitna Valley, which is really two separate valleys. Mat-Su is just a local nickname. Maybe such confusing place names might have inspired the band's name.
@@squirlmy Well, I live in Palmer. And am B&R 907, thus the use of the local term. So, yeah, I probably know the area pretty good. Their meaning isn't a local reference. Depends which article you read what it means. I think they just thought it sounded cool and made it sing.

I just saw this band in Iowa City, Iowa and it was one of the best shows I’ve ever seen. Way to go Portugal. The Man. That concert was amazing.
John White same. Saw them in Providence last Thursday and it was mind blowing. Were people sitting down at your show? I was floored. People asked us to sit and I’m like HELL no!

Hard to narrow it down to the top 10. Maybe a top 25 would be doable hahaha. I’m sorry, I love all their stuff. But i do understand why they chose these. They are some bangers if you really like Portugal the man as an ever progressing band and not as a “oh I want them to sound the same way forever” types. These stripped down versions are good to relax too.

There was one WoW video of a Malygos Speed Kill that had the sond "How the Leopard got its spot" as the only song.
When I heard "Feel it still" a few years back, I was like "You know that voice, but why?"

For myself, this is in the top 3? 5? BEST OF albums I’ve ever heard. Every song is great no skippers. Motorhead Steel Pulse Bad Brains and maybe Cage the Elephant are up there too

PTM has more than 10 best songs, but this is a great list nonetheless. Best Alaska Rock Band Ever (even though they're in Portland.) Loved that they added in the ending to "Smile" at the end of "Sleep Forever!"
