howdi. this brings back memories . i lived in glendora ca from 1957 to late 1984 when i moved away. route 66 in glendora was called alosta bvd at one time , according to my sources alosta was renamed route 66.:) foothill blvd made a dogleg right an ran into glendora proper untill it re merged in azusa.
Glendora is such a beautiful area. And your sources are correct, Alosta was renamed ‘Historic Route 66’ by the city. :) As for Foothill, do you know if it was ever part of Route 66? Or did it always diverge south onto Alosta?
i dont know if foothill in glendora was a part of 66. at one time . maybe someone else could. i posted that question to roman rich that and he didnt know. 66 was always alosta to me. hope this helps.
That's about the bluest I've seen the skies in that section of SoCal. Normally you see the infamous brown haze (NOx and PM2.5 / 10 pollution) in the air.
