But because of his religion haters will replay his only knockout loss as much as they can trying to ridicule him. Meanwhile Oliveira and everyone else with many losses are considered ‚a new fighter‘ and you shouldnt judge their past.

It seems that you have never visited MMA Twitter or comment sections of Guru, Helwani and plenty of others. The amount of hate these guys got was ridiculous. You can watch back Khabib vs Conor fights on reaction channels and you can hear things like "beat that terrorist". What you do is victim blaming. At one point it became very obvious that people tried to paint them as villains, not just because of their Russian background but also because of their religion. There were all kinds of MMA channels which tried to say in a comedic way that they are violent, uncivilized and dangerous people (like you basically saw when journalists reacted to Ukraine, saying these people didn't deserve war because they're civilized, in Europe and have blue eyes and blonde hair). This only changed because of Will Harris and the Dagestan Chronicles. I know exactly what those comment sections looked like prior to his episodes. On every Makhachev or Khabib video, you'll always find at least 1 comment directly targeting their religion.

Makhachev's sub on Charles definitely cemented his legacy. His only competition is Tsarukyan, who unfortunately had to fight Makhachev as his first UFC fight! Pretty rough opponent for a debut. Reminds of Max having to debut against Conor.

So basically, Makhachev only fought cans, and all the top guys he's faced became cans as soon as they left the octagon with another "L" on their records...
I didn't know Hooker, Dober, Green, Tsarukyan and Lentz were cans.
Last time i checked, Hooker was ranked in the top 10; Green knocked out former #10 Grant Dawson and put a whoopin on Jim Miller; Dober had the most KO/TKO finishes in the LW division; Lentz was a NCAA D1 All American who fought everybody; and Tsarukyan was announced as a future champion as soon as the first Islam fight was over.
Islam finished Oliveira and Volkanovski. That should've been enough to silence the critics and give him some credit, but it's not. Watch him do work on Dustin Poirier June 1st, and people will still find some to say...

Islam is better striker but Khabib is better grappler. I have seen both fighters fights multiple times, khabib makes his opponents helpless on the ground while Islma often have trouble keeping them on the ground. Khabib leg and arms are both in motion simultaneously on the ground.
Having said that, I love both the fighters and Islam is filling the void in UFC after Khabib retirement.

Islam is awesome, if UFC is An RPG videogame im sure islam would be that boss that you find yourself forced to lower the difficulty just to pass through, even though you can beat the final boss easily, Islam just has so many things under his sleeve, he doesn't have the best power, speed, Intelligence or endurance, but the the problem is, he has it all, not the best, but he got all of it, striking? Not the best, but a good striker and can actually win by striking, is he fast ? Not the fastest, but he is fast enough to execute his plans, power ? Not the strongest?, but he's strong enough to turn the lights off ! Grappling and wrestling ? Dude, let's not go there lol, in my opinion this is why he's so scary, you never know what he's got for you, you'll find it hard to adapt when fighting him because he'll constantly change things, one minute you're on the feet and barely able to score anything, only to find yourself fighting to actually stay on the feet, if you're good you'll manage to stay on the feet, but at this point your goal went from winning to not losing... stuff like that makes you lose that fighting spirit, not only it yas so many effects on how the fight will go, but it also shows, you can actually see it in his opponents' face.

Poirier catching Makhachev with a d'arce choke is beyond fantasy.
As soon as Makhachev enters the clinch, Poirier will be in trouble.
People have some doubts about Makhachev's clinching game, which is crazy in my opinion.
We saw what he did to Oliveira and Tsarukyan in this position, so there's no reason to believe Poirier will escape that.

Discipline of the Islam and his down to earth attitude makes him great fighter.

Tbh I think Dustin is past his Prime Self. I Really believed Dustin could beat Charles, because at the time Dustin was mentally and physically very strong. Right now I think it’s really difficult for Dustin to emulate his former self. He was catching BSDs hands really good. I even feel his chin has softened up a bit after the Justin KO. I only think at this point Arman can challenge for the title but even Arman hasn’t hit his prime yet and he still has a lot to learn.
I don't know about Dustin but Holloway at 55 definetely looks like a true contender for the champ.
Islam is a -600 betting favorite against Holloway.
Even in striking alone, Volk dismantled Holloway while islam held his own in the standup. If we add wrestling, its overkill
… Dustin beat Holloway at 45 & 55… in Dustin‘s wrestling and jiu-jitsu are significantly better than Max. If Dustin can’t get it done, nothing makes sense for Max getting it done, other than the fact that this is the fight game and you can’t count anybody out in the top five

Piorier is an elite veteran and poses a serious problem for makachev, especially striking. Piorier is one of the best boxers in the UFC, but Islam is more well-rounded, being arguably the ufcs GOAT wrestler, ever. Period. That combined with fantastic striking and proven fight IQ, i dont see how Piorier gets the W.

@kennard4806 agreed. no excuses from me, though. Piorier indeed proved his worth and banged up makachev pretty badly, makachev made an impressive show of himself standing with the best boxer. And that takedown in the 5th was special. Clearly, Javier and the team had a game plan that not only prevented piorier stand-up dominance but actually turned the tables. With the bobbing and weaving being particularly problematic, opening up good counter opportunities. Islam is effing scarey because he did THAT well against piorier standup being a specialist sambo guy, what would be his counter? I had islam 3 1 going into the 5th (39 37), though some had it 2 2, while others said islam had a 10 8 round in the 2nd(?). Big props to both fighters for a fantastic fight and great sportsmanship 👏

All of islams wins are impressive af. All the way from Dober, Moises, tsaryukan, charles, volk, and hooker, he beat these guys convincingly. Humbled all of them w either subs or KOs. I think at 170 he could be double champ too.
And they just keep winning. Dagestanis are elite for sure.
The opinion of all other fighters is irrelevant because Abdulmanap said that Islam was his best student, even more than his own son Khabib.
Those who know the truth know that Khabib was a much better fighter than Islam and Islam is world champion now.
Islam has better cardio, physique, striking, kicking and overall standup movement. More of an overall well rounded fighter.
Khabib has better wrestling, transitions, flow on the ground, weight placement, control, demeanor, mentality, humbleness and trapping guys against the cage to finish them. Khabib is a more specialist wrestler and you can see that from his historic wrestling accomplishments over islam.
Not to mention Khabib, never lost a fight, never got knocked out and never bled, a perfect record.
Xavier has said Khabib beat Islam in training more than Islam beat Khabib, Firas Zahabi also states Khabib is a better fighter and Khabib unofficially beat guys in training much bigger than himself. DC stated Khabib was the strongest fighter he had ever fought.

One thing Islam lacks is chin. He gets knocked down too easy when he gets caught. If he avoids gettnig hit by Dustin, at all then Dustin is finished.
