they explain that in the first two episodes; he was the last rider of Balerion, dragon of his grandfather's grandfather Aegon the Conqueror, largest dragon Westeros ever saw before or since -- but Balerion was really old when he bonded with him, he only rode him once, and he died of old age only a year later.
Yeah He always plays the toughest guys in his movies which makes those films even better, Honour, the cry of the owl, dead man's shoes, the girl with gifts, journeyman, in America, etc 🔥🔥
I'm hoping to purchase a dragon some day. I just have to get a barn or something to keep him in first. Although if he's the barn burning kind, that could be rough. .o
he did such a GREAT job, what a performance in that role ! He is King Viserys !

the dragon that cooked Herenhaul and was even bigger than Vhagar
Would have been amazing to see that
But oh well
A flashback with Balerion would have been incredible
Anyone who isn't aware of Paddy's work needs to go watch Dead Man's Shoes. He and Toby Kebbell are both amazing in it.
Girl with all the gifts. He's amazing

4:36 Interesting! Cuz in the book art he is depicted with generally short hair.
It would still be nice to see Vis ride the largest dragon known to the universe at some point but I understand why they didn’t go that far back.
It would have been nice to see him ride Balerion…
To be fair it WAS during his reign that Balerion died, n he did ride him once…
9th great grandfather ........10th for Jon
Viserys the First is ten generations removed from Daenerys, but he is the direct ancestor
If you appreciate Paddy’s work then watch… ‘Dead Man’s Shoes’. The best revenge movie I’ve ever seen.
