Thanks for all the great videos! What's the best way to know which stage our in regarding calcification? I started noticing pain during erections a few months ago and the bend is starting to happen upwards towards me. I don't really feel any sort of significant bump or anything hard under the skin... At my initial urologist visit he thought he might've felt something, but I don't. He also didn't suggest any treatments. It also doesn't seem like it looks much different flacid. I guess I'm just wondering if I should try this sort of treatment? I'm in the USA. My insurance might cover it. Going to check. The place I called said it's 2 treatments and the vials are close to 5k each. So close to 10k without insurance. And they didn't have any appointments until March, so wasn't sure how fast it calcifies? I saw you saying 18 months I believe but somewhere else I read 3 months I thought. Sorry about the long comment! :) Thanks!
Thank you for your comment! Assessment by ultrasound and injection test prior to any therapy with collagenase is important. Calcifications can be easily seen on ultrasound. In my experience, non-calcified plaques are easier to treat. It is recommended to treat deviation angles between 30° and 90°. There is a slight risk for serious side effects in terms of rupture. Bleeding and hematoma is very common. Looks dangerous but in most cases it is not. Good luck!
I dont see you mention shrinkage yet multiple videos I've seen from other Drs. Do mention it is a side effect. Is this a side effect you've noticed? I've heard reporte of losing 1 - 3 inches
There is no shrinkage from collagenase but from the disease itself. This video is one of several on this topic: ua-cam.com/play/PLZYQdwAMZsrSoI6tXo9wHSICwydlc2oJ7.html
So what do I do with penile fracture? Two plaques have already formed after one month. I am lucky to continue having decent erections. But curvature already started towards the side of the plaque. I hear about tadalafil, carnitine, ultrasound therapy, traction…
Penile fracture has to be taken care of immediately. Concerning penile curvature following penile injury, I have a whole playlist full of videos. Peyronie's Disease ua-cam.com/play/PLZYQdwAMZsrSoI6tXo9wHSICwydlc2oJ7.html
Is there a solution after calcification of the plaque other than surgery?
Recently, needle tunneling has been proposed.
