My mouth flew open when Pastor Jennings called my ( I'm sure others too) husband's name. I've been divorced for over three decades. Our 49th anniversary is coming up soon. Next year will be the "golden". If only Pastor J. would have been our teacher and guide, we probably would have gotten it together. False teachers are destroying a lot of marriages.
These preachings stopped me in my tracks from divorce. Praise God my eyes were opened

How hard it is for a man and the woman that is married and they are not happy and then they separate but they still want a companion in their life they still want intimacy but they have to end up going back with each other but they’re unhappy when they are with each other that’s a hard pill to swallow
I think even Pastor Jennings overlooks the part where it says except for adultery. So basically everyone in the old testament is going to hell that remarried?

Jesus was speaking to Jews who were divorcing their wives in order to marry another wife.

I love you pastor Gino . Thank you for your teaching of the word of God . I married a guy and a year later I walked out. Nine years later I married again and it lasted for years. And God set us up to win and I know I may have messed up twice but by God by God I do not and will not want to mess up a third time. Cause he has a hope in a future for me and I get it now I totally understand what God is telling me . I am now a singled woman who loves the Lord more than yesterday . My life now single I work , go to church and want to travel the world .

Never Never Never hear this kind of teaching, Apostle Gino Jennings realy teaching the truth on this, the preachers do not preach on this never, the reason why is because day have a second wife, his first wife is still Liveing, i know what the gino is saying, i use to go to a church, where the pastor was divorce and his wife was divorce, both of there spouses is liveing, now that church again have a nother pastor, he said that he is a bishop, and he does travel, apearently his wife cheat on him, he divorce her and married to a young woman that can be his daughter, and the church is full of women, he still does travel and when he is travelling his wife does preach, someone said to me the church is not even growing, so yes something is wrong.

I'm a sinful man, our problem is as human beings we take one verse, are many verses here and there and take out of context and miss interpret its meaning ( What is the whole book saying from genisis to Revelation) The old testament is symbolism of what christ would do at the cross in future through the animal sacrifice such as in Exodus 12vs13 and the new testament is reality of what Jesus has done on the cross already, Revelation 12vs11 they overcame by the blood of the lamb) In Exodus 12vs13 God sent a death angel to kill Pharaoh's first born and he told Moses and the people kill a lamb ( symbolism of Jesus Christ, the true lamb of God who would come from heaven above a be born of a virgin in human flesh) and put the blood with hyssop ( a type of christ blood that would be shead on cross In future) and put the blood on yall doorpost and get in house ) And when the death angel passes, when I see the blood I will pass over u ( Its the same today when I see the blood of Jesus ( not our works) but when I see the blood of Jesus you soul is saved and u will be speared from my judgement in hell ! The old testament people were not saved by the ceremony of sacrificing the animal, ceremony never saves, they were saved by trusting by faith what it represented In future ,christ sacrifice on calvarys cross) Now today no need for old testament animal sacrifice representation anymore ,because the reality of what all that pointed to has already came, Jesus Christ and went to calvarys cross a shead his blood for our sins, completely paying for whatever we need once ,rather its salvation, forgiveness, purity by his blood, healing, dilverance etc and it never needs to be paid again, it is finished Jesus cried out on the cross in john19vs30 meaning completely paid in full) Jesus rising from the dead, was the Father above stamp of approval, that christ payment at calvarys cross long ago was accepted, because it was a complete and perfect payment at calvarys cross, from a complete and perfect Savior the Lord Jesus Christ) So the whole book from genisis to Revelation in symbolism are reality, screams out what can save my soul and make me whole, not my works, but nothing but the blood of Jesus)

According to Matt 19:9, if he committed sexual immorality you can divorce.
So question....if Xerxes divorced his wife to marry Esther why did God allow that so that His servant Esther can save Israel. Why did Paul say what he said in 1 Corinthians? Why did Jesus say what He said about divorcing fir sexual immortality?
The Bible wasn't written in English and you have to look not at the words of the Bible but the meaning and context.
My wife left 10 years ago to live a lesbian lifestyle and deceived herself thinking she is still a Christian living with a woman. So God would call a person to NEVER marry again because of the sexual immortality of the first spouse? When you read the Bible does this seem like God?
Yes divorcing for unbiblical reasons is against God's law but one needs to look at the context. Job's wife left him and he married again.
It is sad people are deceived by this type of teaching. By the way I'm still single but will marry soon by the grace of God. The Pharisees knew the Bible better than anyone. However they didn't have the Spirit and you have to be careful who you're listening to.

If you have any questions about divorce and remarriage, look at Jesus example and the manner in which He treats The Church. He said He will never leave nor forsake His Church. Those who remarry while their Covenant spouse is alive, are not representing the true love and forgiveness that Jesus extends to us when we are unfaithful to Him.

Jyu Emperado I understand that part completely. However Jesus stated that a man can't divorce his wife except for sexual immortality. So my understanding is if your spouse commit adultery then its up to you to divorce or forgive and stay together. Or am I interpreting that wrong?
Robert Rico you are right brother. Fornication is an unlawful sexual sin. Adultery is an unlawful sin against your spouse. All adultery is fornication but all fornication is not adultery. If you can forgive, you can reconcile to the adulterous relationship. Jesus said except which means you can divorce on this precept. He is right in his preaching though.

I understand we make some stupid decisions in our past and also some get handed some unspeakable situations in life but let's look at this. All of us have some form of sin that can become a strong hold in our life. If you decide to put God's way, laws and judgments first in order to SAVE YOUR SOUL then you would have started praying for God to kill all desire of the flesh that will put you in sin. If you were in a wicked marriage and now apart, pray that God take away the desire to want a companion so the spirit of adultery dont become a strong hold in your life. RUN when you see a man coming and your body start having the feelings that you know will make you sin if you act on them. Be selfish to the fleshy feeling for the saving of your soul.

A person fighting against adultery is spiritual just same as a person fighting against fornication and even homosexuality. These come with a "feeling of wanting" something that God made unlawful for HIS people. Rebuk the feeling , pray for it to leave you. Resist the devil and as sure as you know there is a God then that feeling will depart.

I'm new to following God as of 2020. I always believed in God but lead a sinful life. I did get married in 2016 but never knew any of this in detail like he is preaching. I did leave my husband in 2020 bc it was just a horrible marriage. I prayed and prayed before I got a divorced for God to give me a sign and I believe I got it on March 8th 2020, that was the final straw for me. If I knew all of this I would of done a lot of things differently! I believe I married the wrong person and I love the thought of marriage and hoped to be married again someday. Would it be a sin to remarry or would I be forgiven! I was ignorant but I know now! I grew thinking adultery was just when the other spouse cheated. Never knew remarriage would also be consider adultery. I know now!
Many of us don't understand the marriage vows before God. Marriage don't end because we get tired or having differences. Many times we get marry not understanding anything about our spouse. When problems come and believe me they will come we need godly counseling from those who have succeeded in their marriage. Many times we look for outlet when things are bad. When we're asking God to stay or leave our marriage we have to know what his word says. God would never tell a person to leave a marriage unless for trying to reconcile the There's a way that seems right to man but the end is death. God does forgives but there is always consequences for our actions. If he's alive you can reconcile or remain unmarry. The institution of marriage is no longer permanent. 75% of marriage ends in divorce. Kids and society are all affected by our decisions we make. Getting married requires God to choose our wives. It requires waiting, praying and seeking godly counsel.

This was a hard pill for me to swallow since my husband of 15 years divorced me after I raised his daughter and was finally pregnant with my first child. He told me he didn't want any more children. He has a daughter and son from a previous relationship.
He claimed he was never married and had no children. After we married I found out about his children. He is from another country. After I granted him the divorce.
He married again and had two more children ....but I have to remain unmarried ...he is living in adultery .... I cannot get married again unless he dies. That was hard to swallow but I have to obey The Holy word of the Most High.

I'm in the same situation. Married 16 years ago. My wife left me almost 9 years ago. We have a son too. She's desperately seeking to marry another. I will almost certainly be "single" the rest of my life. That's how life goes all too many times. But we must honor and obey God, and display his love, forgiveness, and gospel metaphor accurately through our marriage circumstances.
I like it because there is no made up word He says it like it's written in The Bible and most people will be like oh that's too hard too strong then you don't want to hear the truth and this man says the truth my prayers for you and your ministry

Exactly!!!! Why he didn’t read this scripture since he is preaching on divorce. That’s why the Bible tells us to study the word for yourself. He has these people they are going to hell after repentance but the Bible says the only sin not forgiven is blasphemy against the Holy Spirit. He also has them thinking they need to run out and get a divorce or walk away from their second husband. It depends on your circumstances. If you have a cheating spouse Jesus says you can divorce them, does he know better than Jesus!

Why do a lot of preachers preach against this....? I know several preachers who say if you divorce and remarry you are forgiven for doing so.... and GOD will not hold it against you.... but according to this and what I have read... you can be forgiven but you must get out of that 2nd marriage or you remain an adultress and will not enter into the kingdom of GOD... I herd a lady say she didn't care what anybody said she was not getting a divorce from her second husband... she will answer for that statement
Simple the churches are lawless. For example if a couple that are both homosexuals and one/or both decided to repent and change his or her life, then they will need to come out of the marriage to recieve complete and full repentance and forgiveness. They cannot remain in a sinful marriage. You cannot repent and stay in the sin. The Messiah told the woman at the well to GO and SIN NO MORE. John 5:1-15

@@yvngcxt5071 God never agreed with anyone remarrying in the old testament. Moses permitted divorce due the hardness of their hearts. Jesus comes on the scene and raises the standard of marriage back up to it's original intent, from the beginning. Marriage is a lifelong commitment. Only death can separate.
