    Thanks for explaining the steps in detail, & giving up your trial & error lessons as well. I’m just starting to carve my own lures, & needed an experienced makers’ work for reference. You gave me several great ideas for hook attachment, eyes, & painting. Thanks, we’ll worth the watching. I learned many things the easy way!

    Thank you for a great video! My brother in law carves his own fishing lures and this is how I happened upon your video. You provided some great tips/detailed info and have given me more resolve to enjoy this hobby and delve further into it. I like your lure drying rack and the small tips you provided in the video will be helpful in the over all process. Well done!

    One thing I noticed when you lose lures enough time you will just get used to it. It the world of fishing you can't catch fish without losing something.🎣🎣👍

    Very nice. Pretty much how I make them; I bet we used the same book. I like using glass eyes, though. I'm just old-fashioned.

    How long does it take for your C.A. glue to dry that you put in the screw holes ?

    Great Video, I missed where you buy the hardware

    Can you buy a kit with all of the hardware parts in a box as you have or do you have to buy all of the individual pieces separately? Very nice job with the video. Thanks.

      There are some kits and see my suggested component list for a good vendor. I also list the right sized parts for the lures I make in the video and you'll find that packs of 25 cost next to nothing...

    The tool that attaches the hook to the lure is a split ring plier, actually the one I use in the video is a split ring forcep. It opens the split ring which connects to the hook hanger and the hook. Thanks! MG

    It doesn't need any kind of weight in the bottom?

  • @MikeSmith-gs7mr
    @MikeSmith-gs7mr 6 років тому

    Can you post up a link to your parts list information or any references you might have to help any beginners. I did register for a catalog with a supplier but it would be beneficial to be able to order the hardware and hook size needed, etc.
    I'd also like to get your recommendation on an airbrush tool to buy (is there a recommended brand, etc?) and one that can be depended on. My brother in law has purchased a few but said he's had problems with them. Is there a technique to this such as thinning the paint in the holding tank on the air brush tool, etc. that will help in dispersing the paint?
    Thank you!

      Yes but you don’t have to stress on the exact dimension because it gets turned away anyway

      Why so negative and critical? This man took the time to make a great video, there are some great tips/advice for people interested in making lures and he did a very good job in explaining the basics to anyone interested.
