Acton Bridge - All Night Freight's - 11th-12th June 2015.

A trip out to Acton Bridge to film the night freight variety. On arrival we were greeted with a pair of Colas Rail 56's on the Aviation Fuel tanks, then pair of 37's with a 20 absolutely thrashing passed with the flasks before getting attacked by sand off the Middleton Towers train. Also noted was 90021 with a late 1M16 to Euston after coupling and cabling issues at Carstairs. The night was shortened due to a fatality up in Lockerbie so some freight's were cancelled at Carlisle Yard. Nice to see a fellow mate of mine Paul at the station he was filming the daytime action. the sleeper from Inverness must of been running over an hour late Cuz it passed around 07:34 and it's normal near London at that time

Hi mate just wondering im hoping to do an over nighter at acton bridge just wondering is there access to the platforms through the night or does it close ?/

Hi, Acton Bridge is open 24/7 and non staffed.. Access to the station from the main road onto to the platforms. Station lights go out from 1.02am to 4.05am usually an ideal time to snooze.
