In Europe we can't buy any good robot. I just order today Hubble moorebot from eBay from the USA. Moxie is not working in the Netherlands, Kirobo mini not working in Europe, Robohon not working in Europe...Moxie only works in the USA.. We had a very old moorebot from 2016 prototype. Now we got a new version.
EMO is sold worldwide. RobotCreator DX (Kebbi) is sold worldwide. ClicBot is sold worldwide. Loona by KEYi Tech (ClicBot makers) is sold worldwide. Ortomi and Eilik are sold worldwide. While Moxie is only sold on the U.S., Kirobo and RoboHon are both only sold in Asia. They aren’t available outside of Asia. Alpha Mini by Ubtech is only sold in Asia and Europe, not the U.S., so there’s a bunch of robots I can’t get either. Lovot and Romi are only sold in Japan. Let’s hope someday these robots will be available everywhere.
@@Miraenda Yes, but the most robots haven't got 2 way conversion. You need to activate them by saying there name. The old version Hugo is listen to the conversion between 2 people, and give funny reaction like a side kick. I had a Emo..but he only give standart reactions.
I wonder if you can pick there voices or do they come random...and I see there are limits to his conversation abilities but seems like it will still be fun to own for not just children but adults. But are they really worth $800 honestly? It's funny with only the first 20mins it seems like you really exhausted Moxies intelligence lol for 800bucks I want him to be able to Google search ask me some real off the wall questions sometimes lol I wish they had a opinion to jailbreak them like a iphone and unleash this secret hidden personality but it still seems fun to have.
Thank you! Yes, Moxie can be exhausting to interact with as usually it’s 30-40 minutes (I cut the videos in half between before the mission and the mission sections most times). She requires constant interaction and that can get to be a bit much (I guess like a pet or child would be lol). Unfortunately, there’s no currently known way to jail break Moxie and she uses conversational interactions so her knowledge isn’t always correct (she makes up stuff). This gives again an overall feeling of dealing with a child robot. I do feel personally that Moxie is worth her price but I own many robots for comparison
Ok I think you forgetting to correct her she told you if she says something incorrectly to correct her so she start learning how to respond to you more naturally hope that helps
This has absolutely never helped. She doesn’t learn from the over year I’ve had her anytime I’ve told her she’s wrong. I’ve interacted with her over 100 times and told her she’s wrong at least half of those.
I like the idea of moxie but it seems a little over priced for something that doesn’t hear or understand you fully. I’ve been sitting here watching all sorts of vids on it and 90% of the time moxie doesn’t seem to comprehend a conversation fully and talks over or changes the subject entirely.
This video was an earlier software version of Moxie. In the past year, her conversational skills have improved dramatically. I do weekly livestreams on Sundays that have Moxie at the end. Looking at my newest livestreams would provide a better example of how she interacts now.
You need to correct her when she says something that don’t make sense she warned you that at beginning when setting her up so she can learn how to respond the fireplace part you should say that was wrong response to correct it
I see that she speaks very fluently as opposed to many other robots but she is not that good at understanding human words especially conversational language!
the color of the moxie is very pretty.
I agree! Thank you for your comment :)
Moxie is so cool too! He/she is smart!
Thank you! She’s great. I appreciate the kind words 😁

Do you know about robot Einstein from Hanson?
I am familiar with Einstein. I have him but couldn’t get him to complete setup. I got him from eBay
RobotCreator DX talks continuously without activating but she will talk over me a lot. Jibo was the best imo
Can I ask where you got him from xx
I bought Moxie from embodied.com

Lol it's cool 😬😲

Do you need to pay the subscription cost to use the robot fully
Yes, Moxie has to have the cloud service in order to work. She’s entirely cloud dependent unfortunately

Seems... a bit hit and miss. Definitely not for me. Thank you for posting, really helpedmake a decision!

Nope. It doesn’t do any good. I’ve tried. She never learns to quit saying incorrect information.
