I am a celtics fan, and low-key I’m just expecting them to underperform because they always do, from a pure talent standpoint, Boston should be a lock for the title, but the second a team just has a better gameplay than the Celtics, they fold like origami paper. We’ve seen the exact same shit since 2017, 2022 was our best chance, and we got stomped by the Warriors. From a business and competitive standpoint, yeah the Celtics have had a really successful era, but I feel like the Celtics could literally break the record for regular season wins going 74-8, and we’d still feel anxious in the playoffs.

I hate how when Boston wins , Tatum gets none of the credit and actually gets clowned for being carried by his supporting cast , but when they lose it’s all tatums fault , because he didn’t score 40 and not the actual reasons for the loss
That's the heat you get when you're the best player on a team that had one of the best regular seasons in history and is expected to win a ring, anything less than that is going to be an L for them. But there whole starting lineup is unironically good shooters jrue is the worst shooter of that starting lineup and he is still decent they lost because Miami just wasn’t missing
@@rayhouston5815 Brown or Tatum are not great natural shooters. Someone like MPJ is a natural shooter. I don't care who has better % it means nothing. When push comes to shove, someone like MPJ could take and make that crazy 3p surrounded by 3 dudes with hands in his face. From Tatum or Brown, you would get an airball or a block. It's not clutch, just difference in ability.
You're referring to the fact that this year there's been a lot of talk about the fact that the Cetlics have the 4th highest net rating of all time, net rating is calculated by subtracting the defensive rating (the average number of points conceded per game) from the offensive rating (the average number of points scored per game) of a team. It's important to understand that the 3 teams ranked above them in the all-time rankings - the '96 Bulls, the '97 Bulls and the '17 Warriors - were all champions in the year of their record-breaking net rating. In fact, of the 10 teams in this ranking (excluding the 2024 Celtics) 8 are champions that year, and ALL are champions at some point between the 2 years before or after the record was set. You can see why we talk about this statistic so much, it's really quite something. I'm not saying the rest of your point isn't valid, but please understand why there's so much talk about this stat.
@@Herzeder Circumstances change. It could be that going forward net rating won't be that important indicator because (most) top teams don't try in regular season. This year Boston is the only team going for it. All others are 57ish wins at best.
@@frozen1762 I dont get your point. Multiples team at 50+ wins is the best proof of an actual competitive season. The east is quite weak tho, that's true, but the east is historically weaker than the West anyway. An excellent net rating has been for, at least, the last 50 years a pretty good indicator of which team is going to win the title, in fact it's probably the best statistical indicator as I explained it in my last post. I'm not saying that the Celtics are going to win it all this year btw, I'm just saying that them being considered a pretty good team isn't undeserved.
It honestly doesn't matter if they win or lose this series. a storied franchise, but the last championship was 2008 (16 years ago! it could drive now if it were a person! or have a learner's permit at least) and the second-to-last in 1986 (well... lebron is still older by 1.5 years). you gotta assume most of the fanbase behind any online squabbling barely got to appreciate a chip in their lifetime. well, at least the team is usually decent.
Not really, at least for me. This game is clearly an anomaly, which was shown in G3
We mustn’t get overly optimistic over a single win fellow Heat fans. Celtics remain a formidable opponent and will have the drive to avenge the loss at home and will be all the more dangerous for it.
-me when I’m fucking lying Heat in 5 and fuck Boston
I love the switch up😂 going from Miami finished to why bostons like this😂
Am I the only one that actually gained confidence in the heat after watching game one? Yes they lost convincingly but they stayed competitive in the first half and even went in a little run at the end. I saw a lot of mistakes that cost them the game, but knowing Coach Spo I knew they would make adjustments and respond accordingly
As a Thunder/Heat fan, I couldn’t be more happy with how this is going.
Remember being excited for the luka tingus pingus offence back in like 2020 and pingus going dead in games.
If Boston fumbles this one itll make me happy make me smile
Side note hopefully you heal up soon. That scooter incident seemed rough dude.
I swear to god SGA makes it a point to drop somewhere between 27-35 per game. He refuses to go above or below that range and no matter what will end up somehow averaging 32.1PPG for however long their playoff run goes. I can already see it.
If it does happen this will be one of the greatest upsets in NBA playoff history.
Hell yuh finally got the mainstream to talk about pels and OKC
I have yet to watch pelicans playoff basketball EVER. However, it always seems like whenever I hear about them it's the 1rst round and they're never fully healthy
WHERES THAT SWEEP AT BOSTON. LFG HEAT
If Boston loses it would be the follow up to the Red Sox overcoming a 3-0 deficit vs the Yankees. Kinda like how the Indians (now Guardians) choked a 3-1 lead after Lebron and the Cavs overcome a 3-1 deficit in the finals
Correct title - “why are the heat like that”
Why is this video 14 hours late? When did the game end at us time that noone commented on it?
Celtics fans getting introduced to playoff Tingus Pingus :D
Heat beating Celtics, Heat being 8th seed taking down the 1st seed. Both of them happened last year, tbh I don’t think anyone should be surprised by these.
Would be interesting if Heat gets a couple of games and Jimmy buckets get back beats the playoff record for points and Celtics are out after all the hype they have gotten this season. Im rooting for Them!
Something I will always wonder about The Dame trade in that I wonder how much of it was The Bucks not wanting The Heat to get Dame. I feel like The whole Eastern side owes The Bucks a "Thank you card" , The Heat were standing tall on Hero but This team had more players that were close enough and I think Portland would have done the trade if The Bucks didn't come in.
Spo is the greatest nba coach of all time. He should get coach of the year every year literally every team would trade their coach for him
This game had Bsolz tweakin
I hate how when Boston wins , Tatum gets none of the credit and actually gets clowned for being carried by his supporting cast , but when they lose it’s all tatums fault , because he didn’t score 40 and not the actual reasons for the loss
That's the heat you get when you're the best player on a team that had one of the best regular seasons in history and is expected to win a ring, anything less than that is going to be an L for them. The Celtics have been building up to this for over half a decade now, it's time for them to win and there's no excuses
Yup, zero excuses left. Will they fold under pressure? Are they actually build to go all they way in the playoffs? Find out next time on Dragon Ball Z😅
@@natedogg890 I agree but I’m not talking about the Celtics as a whole , we know that ppl will overreact to every result good and bad , however with Tatum specifically the narrative is so wierd
I think it is as simple as the heat hit 24 3s on 55% shooting if they can keep that up they'll win but I don't think that's maintainable
9:39 for the Celtics vs Heat breakdown
Everybody is saying how Boston is this great team with stats out of the charts, but eye test shows sterile offense and too much dependence on 3p shooting. And none of their players is great natural shooter, I don't care what % they have in regular season.
As one of the few lifelong celtics fans who hates our current players, I am going to die laughing if they drop this series to the heat.
As a Celtics fan, 80% of this is mazzulla
It honestly doesn't matter if they win or lose this series. Let this loss finally, FINALLY prove to all of you that this team *IS NOT READY.* How many times must they let you down before you understand this? And before you say "oh but this is a different team", at the top? Bc THATS what matters. Who is your 'guy'. And Jason Tatum is just NOT that 'guy'.
So the Thunder defeats the sorry axx Pels without Zion and now they are ok against bigger teams?
My God. My GOSH
It took the Heat 5 games and make 23 threes just to beat the Celtics this season.
When Boston loses this series the slander will feed families for generations
Miami Heat best team in the NBA we going back to the finals
I think the We Believe Warriors are still the biggest upset in nba history
What did miami executed excuse me? Did Spo had a button that makes them make 23 threes with 53 percent?
if you want consistent scoring look at Pacers Gm 2
WHY ARRRRE WE LIKE THIS GOD DAMN IT!!!
Tatum has NEVER been that guy. The nba media has been trying to convince us for years now that he is. There’s a reason he’s not in the mvp convo even tho he’s best player on dominant team in east
What a terrible day it must be in Boston when the Celtics lose the white boy battle.
Could it be said that inconsistencies like that are a sign of a lack of motivation?
Celtics and Lakers will be eliminated on the 1st round and that'll be humiliating. 😅
Miami playing with house money
Its almost like the heat are just a really good team. Built for the playoffs mentallly and physically. Obviously boston is a better team. But the heat are just too good to count out. Always competitive
If they get knocked out by the heat . They really need 2 trade Jaylen brown
