Cartgate one of regular spots during winter. Sadly some took to permanent residency and they had a crackdown on vans. The last time we stayed we hounded out by someone on a motorbike who thought it funny to sit alongside us and rev his bike until we were up. I won't tell you what we called him. We tried again the following night and he did it again. However, its a good spot during the day if the weather is poopy. The beaches in Somerset are mostly mud and a lot of people get caught by a quick tide and lose their vans. I lived there for most of my life and seen a lot of losses and to life. Through winter though seafront in Burnham is free day and night to park as long as you avoid parking in front the flats you are ok. Apex park is free during the day as well in burnham. Beautiful lake and gorgeous walks.
Hi yeh cartgate was fairly quiet during the night we stayed there might be because its slightly out of season we had no trouble ,defiantly wouldn't risk the sand on the beach but was nice for short afternoon 😀 thanks for watching 🙂
Good park ups, thanks for sharing, we know most of them as we’re based in WSM, and its a damm shame the nitwit council doesn’t allow overnight parking on the beach. Our understanding of “ No Camping “, is if you got chairs, tables etc out, we don’t see any problem with just overnight sleeping, that’s the definition Spain uses, and it makes sense to us. Cheers 🍻
