Those new cotton clean ups are terrible looking. Cheaply made, Scentsy is really disappointing me lately, the most of the wax has been so light/or low performing and I have been purchasing more from vendors due to that fact. Thanks for sharing this, I will not waste my $$$. - Tracey
Wow, i was never a big fan of cotton cleanups to begin with, but that's just ridiculous. Target just started selling a larger sized cotton ball, i think you get 140 in a bag, and they each soak up one or two scentsy cubes beautifully... for $2. 🤷🏻♀️ i used to rip of the tab and flip it over to use the full cleanup - that's just too much work for me. 😅 Thanks for sharing all your research! 💕
I’m just getting around to catching up on some older videos. I have to say I am loving this expose like video on the cotton clean-ups. I have never bought the clean ups because I always felt like they are over priced. For Scentsy, I typically use the spatula to peel the wax out of the dish. But, for vendor wax, I use cotton balls. The best cotton balls were the Equate mega size, but I can’t find them anymore. 😒 Thanks for a great video! ~Elayne
Glad to see you back! I’m with you regarding taxes. I make sure to spend the amount to stay below having to claim. Scentsy has been declining so much in quality lately. I’m slowly transitioning out of being a consultant. I have my few favorite scents that I’ll keep in my club, but that’s about it for me and Scentsy. 🤷🏻♀️
I don’t use cotton to clean Scentsy wax out of my warmers. Instead I turn my warmer off and I set my phone timer for about 27 minutes and then I tear a section of paper towel and use it to peel the wax out of the dish. If any wax is I’ll use the paper towel to wipe it out. I love that new hack of moving club without actually making skips. The way I had been doing it was much more complicated. I have a quarterly club with all fall/winter bars that is already set for September and my bi-monthly club is all spring/summer bars which ships in March. These two clubs will both only actually ship once a year each.
The new Cotton Clean Ups look like the Mega sized cotton balls from WalMart with the way they're constructed, with the added tab on top to hold. They're probably smaller than the Cotton Clean Up by a little but much cheaper. I won't be purchasing the new Cotton Clean Ups. The whole draw for me with the previous version was that it could soak up so much that I wouldn't have to use 3 or 4 cotton balls when doing large amounts of vendor wax, especially in the summer when I use more to boost scent with the air cooler. I'll just use a silicone liner instead with that. Thanks for the detailed look at them!
I tried the new ones, but I don't like them. I used to clean up three warmers with one old cleanup, but I can do one and a half with the new, and the absorption is prolonged, almost as if you have to squeeze the cleanup to pick up wax. Most of my new ones were poorly constructed and looked like something you buy at the dollar store. Various consultants are raving about them as new and improved, but I am not sold. They are not something I will purchase again. I will be going back to jumbo cotton balls
The new cotton clean ups aren't like they use to be I have the boot warmer and it took about 3 of those to soak up the wax sigh so Im gonna go back to cotton balls
The old cotton clean up picked up 6 to 8 cubes. I was able to get a whole bar worth of wax clean up 90% of the time. I will NOT be purchasing them even at a discount. I am not happy with the change and wish they would have offered two sizes. I do not have any issues using the big ones in my mini warmers. I only have 2 that I would use it in. I use the spatulas to pop out the wax on most of my warmers now or I buy cotton balls. I also don't like the new products I think they are not a good value and they don't work well enough to change/switch from their conventional store counterparts. It was already challenging to get customers at the 2023 price points of things. I am not longer subscribed to trying to make this a business. You mentioned that you try to avoid receiving the tax form can you elaborate? I may want or need to do that as well. I am doing a BIG stock up between now and june and then I am done. I won't be making any other purchases from myself this year, I will be done until next spring summer. I may pick up a couple winter/christmas items for gifts but that will be all. moving forward I will buy from myself 1 big order per year or I may just switch my club back to my sponsor. I need to find other ways to scent my home because I am not happy with the direction Scentsy is heading.
Completely agree! On the tax form, assuming you are in the US, you only get a tax form if they pay you $600 and over throughout the year. So if I don't spend enough throughout the year to make back $600, I don't get a tax form for the 'income'.
Oh 😂 I spent to much lol I'll do better moving forward 😊 hopefully. I appreciate your feedback & love your videos. I'm considering doing them myself. You inspire!
I think they just said it will work better for the mini warmers to make it sound good. I always just used the regular cotton balls in my mini warmers, not that hard. Will pass on these. Target has some larger cotton balls I like and also dollar general has some really big ones( you have to look for them) that are good. Good for you trimming your club. I was thinking about cutting Apple Press from mine but now you have me second guessing! 😆
The new CC work for all warmers but u have to work with them. You have to unravel them and then rewrap to shape them to a larger size. Worth it to me for the $6 price or $3 @ 1/2! 😂
I’m excited that Zoinks is coming back at the end of April!
And the new cotton cleanups are nonsense! Wonderful video on all the details of those!

Agreed! Love your method! I do something similar. I hate wasting the cotton, whether in ball or cleanup form. Thanks for watching! 💜

I like the extra jumbo cotton balls at Walgreens. 2 packs $4.00
I'll have to try those.

That's too much effort for me. LOL
The new ones look horribly made
