I don't really know much about the current world of card collecting (I've always dabbled since I trend towards comics but the art is irresistible on the cards) but does it seem to be smart to get the base set and just buy everything else in Epacks?

It's heartbreaking watching this in the UK. We don't get any of this 😢. Best we get is the Panini Marvel Versus cards, which are OK, but nothing like these. I'm just admiring the beautiful art.
