I love the comment Aaron made of it being an all age fragrance. So many reviews I have seen call it a 40+ fragrance, being 21 and wearing this often I adore that comment, to me it has no age, it just smells great, it performs fabulously and sets you apart from the Sauvage wearing crowd, not to knock Sauvage but people look at you differently wearing something so seemingly different to the norm, dying to get my hands on Aaron’s fragrances for a while now, though not sure which to go for, fantastic review and a fantastic person. I think this one is actually too good for me to pull off. You have to be someone who gets their eyebrows waxed and spends 2 hours a day on personal hygiene and who never walks out of the house not looking perfectly dressed and manicured. It’s a masterful composition, but for me it’s something I’d only wear one or two nights every year, maybe in a tuxedo or suite. Would be good for a wedding. To the first guy: The cost doesn’t necessarily play that much into the ratings unless it’s so expensive that nobody can get their hands on it. At at the $100 to $400 range, MKFs are expensive, but still very attainable for most with a little bit of budgeting. To the 2nd guy: BR540 is indeed popular and excellent, but has lost a lot of it’s buzz over the last 5 or 6 years. There’s fragrances that are much older getting way more attention. Allure Homme Sport, T’Hermes, GIT, SMW are significantly older and are still talked about more.
I think they might have a presentation issue. All their bottles are modest and look the same. Most fragrances buyers aren’t frag heads. It isn’t going to grab the attention of the casual shopper. Instead they’ll look at the flashy Creeds, PDMs, or designer houses they already know before giving MKF a second look. It’s not to say they don’t have good sales, but it seems they’re overshadowed by a lot of other brands.

Maison Francis Kurkdjan grand soir. A warm, smoky and refined Amber. Reddish resin that comes from conifers, its name derived from the Greek "Ambriosos" means immortal, and this perfume in 50 years will not have taken a wrinkle. I was afraid that it would be sweet, but it is not the case, if not by the black and natural pod of its Vanilla. For the non-dominant Tonka is positioned in the background and with restraint ... and THAT, my friends, is very good. By imposing this one as the dominant note in all Orientals this past decade, the flame between it and me ended up being extinguished. I got sick of it, going from "I love it, it's one of my favorite olfactory notes" to "Again? they don't have anything else on hand or something" because it dominates and tyrannizes the other notes. At the time when Pierre Hermé claimed that he hated Tonka, I was thinking "How is that possible?" now I understand better. Anyway, here it only serves as a support and so much the better, just like Cistus. A creamy, dimensional scent that evolves slowly. I prefer it after 1 hour. It reminds me a bit of Dior "Vanilla Diorama" as on my skin it reveals itself spicy as a mix of Cardamom, Patchouli and African Cinnamon (from Ceylon or Madagascar). In conclusion, I thought at first that it was boring and banal... After an hour of evolution, I completely change my mind. 7,5/10
Feel like this one is based around dihydromyrcenol. Maybe doesn't seem like it at first but it feels like it a bit. Kind of a similar story with xerjoff Naxos. Fantastic

Damn, I never saw him give a perfect 10 before. But I understand. I tried it and it is truly amazing.
This is so beautiful! My favourite from the house!
I find it that leans more feminine what do you think ?
wore tabac today just love the creamy vanilla in it smells very nice and very expensive i was put off by the name but i purchased after your review of it and glad i did love it fantastic love it would recommend all to get there nose on it
Thank you Martin. I love to
I like this one and a couple of others from this House. Beautiful scent but i prefer something a bit stronger, bit too weak for me unless i give it some with the spray
Really! You find this weak? Thats shocking to me, its absolutely nuclear and lasts until I wash it off or shower.
@@jeremyhinze8837 Too weak for me i'm afraid. I prefer stronger
@@tattooedbill1 no thats fine you like what you like. I just have never heard anyone say grand soir was weak thats all.
Hi hope you're well, can you review Ani by Nishane 👌🏻
please show the bottle when you spray it !
Beautiful review thank you.
So interesting that I’m wearing this particular sample today)) A bit mature for me but among all mature evening perfumery I’ve tried including Chanel this has to be top of the top.
It is mature. Your right there. But I enjoyed it massively
I found it little feminine, what do you think ?
Yes I see the Roja and MFK connection as well! You say things that just click for me..
My first MFK. Very long lasting and pure class.
I find it that leans more feminine what do you think ?
Hello man admiration for your hard work and passion can you please make a review for guerlain cuir intense
Finally smelled this beautiful thing and pulled the trigger just now. Its so much better than serge luten's ambre sultan and frederic malle's musc ravageur (i own both and they're a bit similar in genre), its blended very very well. I think this is the smoothest and yet most powerful amber I've ever smelled.
I find it that leans more feminine what do you think ?
@@hocineted7594 yeah, i agree , i gave a sample to my friend and he said its too feminine for him
@@hocineted7594 i think frederic malle’s musc ravageur is a more male version, thats a good one too, you can try that instead
@@hojubaby i got sample of grand soir and I have received many compliments, I don’t know if I will buy it or not, I will try musc ravageur, thank you very much.
@@hocineted7594 i gave away many fragrances that got me compliments, if i dont feel ok wearing a fragrance i really dont care about the compliments to be honest, go with what makes you feel good is my opinion
Nice presentation, but I'm not buying any perfumes until I have all of your collection 😉 lots of love 😘🤗🍒 xx
Amazing. Thank you for supporting my work
@@AaronTerenceHughes My pleasure, you are unique and beautiful, and fragrance world is on another level now because of you, and I hope many will realise and appreciate that. Thank you, lots of love 😘🤗🍒 xxx
This scent is more than beautiful.
I'm torn between Alexandria II and this. Would either be a safe blind buy?
I got a discovery set from mfk today.
I sprayed grand soir today and it smells similar to Tom Ford's Vanille fatale. Anyone else think this too?
I got a sample and it smells great I'll buy a bottle just like Herod $400 but worth it 👍
Great review. Yet another 10/10 I must sample:)
I find it that leans more feminine what do you think ?
U are the only British person I admire💫❤️
It is my favorite perfume of all times yet and i have a lot
7,5/10
Definitely need to get a sample now
Feel like this one is based around dihydromyrcenol. Maybe doesn't seem like it at first but it feels like it a bit. Kind of a similar story with xerjoff Naxos. Fantastic
Noits not in here. Your picking up the acetates mixed with Hedione that gives freshness
Aaron Terence Hughes thanks Aaron!
Can you do Louis Vuitton L’ immensite
Love this video 👑
hey man this is really cool, do you always review expensive scents? cause I've been thinking about getting into the cologne life but I've never known where to start.
Please do Encre Noire 🙏🙏
I wish have some free samples of that House.
I picked up a soapy barbershop note in this one... what ingredient is causing that?
