i've been binge watching all of your videos for the past two days! Although I am not a mennonite, I really, really enjoy your personality and style - keep up the great work!
Hello Meghan, I accidentally came across your video, next thing I caught myself intrigued in your story, lifestyle, then on top of it, learning how close you live to me.Maybe it wasnt an accident either but only a blessing!!! I live in the country, surrounded by mennonite farms & neighbors in Lebanon county. Bethel Township area. Anyways, I am not mennonite, Im happily married with 2 step children that I feel are my own as well. I love living where we live, horse and buggies go by my house all the time. I love it!!! It reminds me to slow down, enjoy the moments, it also reminds me that life is simple, its what we make of what we have. Im happy to follow you and your family on your journey called life. I am a new subscriber! God bless!!! 🙏
I can tell you are really sincere about your beliefs and I really respect that! Have you ever researched the origin of Easter customs involving eggs? If not, I would strongly encourage you to take a deeper look ! Best regards.
She is Mennonite though and it would be super difficult for her to adjust her practices within her beloved community. God bless them 🙏 Life can be hard.
Love this idea! What is the fat end of the egg and how do you tell? That is such a great tip! I have a hard time hard boiling eggs but this is a great tip. I love your tip with The bags on the hands so smart! Your an awesome Mama! Have a Happy Easter and blessings to you and your family! Evie is a great helper!
Yes, it is all about Jesus!!! Love the egg dying tutorial! For the vinegar, use it to clean up oil spills on your stove, run through dishwasher or coffee maker for cleaning, use for calcium build up in the toilet bowl (have to let it sit for several hours) if you have hard water, or use it in conjunction with water and essential oils to make your own household cleaner. Wishing you a blessed Easter with your family!
Very cool! Like marbling on shaving cream. I’m going to make Italian Easter Egg Bread with my recipe you don’t hard boil but put raw eggs in shells in the bread braid and bake. I’m always afraid I’m going to crack the eggs when dying them so this is a gentle way to dye the raw eggs! Thanks! She’s adorable!💕
This is such a great idea. I love it!!!! I really like chocolate picture too. These cute moments will last a lifetime with your child. I still remember dying Easter Eggs with my mom and siblings. Such fun. Sometimes we made the beautiful Pysanky eggs even though we are not Ukrainian. That was a blast. Your daughter is soooo adorable. Thanks for sharing.
I use vinegar for cleaning the house. I add it to a bucket of water for washing the floor and mix it 50/50 with water in a spray bottle for most counter tops.
I am going to try this next Easter....THANK YOU Megan!!! Evonnie is soo sweet! Good job Mommy! I usually clean my entire home with vinegar & baking soda. I use Vinegar and Baking Soda to keep my drains clog-free. I use about a 1/2 a cup of Baking Soda and I put that down each drain. I then put about 3/4 cup of Vinegar (and it doesn't matter which type of vinegar (White Distilled or Apple Cider Vinegar) you use. I let this set in the drain for 20-30 minutes and then run the cold water in the sink (down the drain)….I NEVER use corrosive chemicals in my home, so Draino is OUT....never use it.!! ****************************************************************************** Corn Starch Old Newspaper I also use cornstarch and water to clean my windows!!! I take a spray bottle (or you can do this in a bowl of water) and add 4 Tablespoons of Corn Starch to the spray bottle and then fill it up with water. IF you use a bowl, 3 cups water. I then shake the bottle( you have to do this every time you spray) and I stir the corn starch and water frequently if you are using the bowl method. I spray the cornstarch water on the window..... Then using the newspaper I wipe the windows clean! (The print from the paper will get on your wood window frames so be careful or just use a wet cloth to wipe it off.) My grandma grew up in the Depression and my Great Grandma cleaned her window this way!
What a neat way to dye eggs! Never thought of Cool Whip! Such a big helper you have! So sweet her trying to say Jesus! 💖 Hope your day is blessed! He definitely is the reason for the season!! ❤️🌅✝️🌷
Cracking them slightly doesn’t make any of the whites seep out? I like the idea of the cool whip. Such a fun and unique idea. For the vinegar. You can run a cup through an empty dishwasher and washing machine to clean and deodorize!
You can use it in your laundry in place of fabric softener. Your clean clothes will not smell like vinegar. It will smell fresh and clean. Use white vinegar.
You can use vinegar with water and essential oils in a spray bottle with essential oils for an all-purpose cleaner...have you tried using silk to dye Easter eggs? Just tried it today and they are stunning! So simple and clean to make. You can use any silk you have or go thrifting for silk scarves and then cut small squares, wrap the eggs in the silk, tie with string at the top, bring eggs to a boil with a water and a tBS of vinegar, and stay on low heat (just like your recipe) then cool for 5 minutes. After they are cool to touch, take the string and silk off and they have the pattern of the silk.
I keep a spray bottle with vinegar under my kitchen sink and use it to spray on pots and pans if they need scrubbing. Just spray and let it set for a minute or so and then scrub. It works like a charm! No need for a strong chemical cleaner!👍
Clean drains with baking soda, vinegar, and run hot water over it after sitting for 10 minutes. I also run a load of vinegar in my washing machine and dishwasher, quarterly, to rid of any residue.
What a cool way to dye eggs. I bought the regular dye kit already and we’ll see how that goes with my 2 year old twin. I are going to make resurrection rolls this year with my 4 year old. It looks like a good way to show the resurrection story. And you get a sweet treat to eat.
Just discovered your channel and have been binge watching your videos. I recently discovered that my ancestors were Mennonites, who emigrated from Switzerland to America and settled in Lancaster County in 1717.
Use the vinegar to clean the fosets in the bathroom and the sink in the kichen. Half vinegar / half water and you have a homemade cleaning solution. By the way... I don‘t remember how I found you but I instantly fell in love with you. And I adore the name of your daughter.... by the way... I am just curios... do you celebrate halloween or just thanksgiving, christmas and easter?
April H I use vinegar that I have poured onto a clean sponge in the dryer.....Saves a lot of $$ on Fabric Softener Sheets. I also make my own laundry detergent pods too. www.myfrugalhome.com/homemade-laundry-detergent-tabs/
My kids are 18 months apart I’m currently pregnant with baby number 3 and this baby will be 22 months younger then my 2nd. I’m looking forward to doing eggs with my girls they are 16 months and 34 months
I just not long ago stumbled across your channel and I absolutely love your videos. Sending you lots of love from Melbourne Australia 🇦🇺. Keep up the good work
Megan, is Evonnie short for Yvonne? I had an Aunt Yvonne and her hair was strawberry blonde with light blue eyes. Evonnie is precious and so calm & well behaved. I hope your baby is a calm child. You look great to have had a baby. Have a Blessed Easter with your Family!
I'm not sure what cool whip is?? I live in the U.K and we can't buy that, could you suggest an alternative or maybe someone could tell me what cool whip is made from and l can buy the nearest thing. I LOVE the ombre effect Megan looks super fun!🌿🌺
I'm new to your channel. I did enjoy seeing you dye these eggs, but I do have a question about why you participate in this part of your Easter celebration? It is definitely a pagan tradition; no bunny has ever birthed their babies by laying an egg and then them hatching. I know that many in the "church" world embrace this festival of sorts, but I just didn't think that your church would accept or allow it in its practices. I'm not trying to be hateful. This must be a slap in the face of our Savior Who gave His life to ransom and redeem us to share this "celebration" with such an occult practice; this goes for Christmas as well. I do recognize the birth and resurrection of our Lord hopefully everyday, but since we did research many years ago, we no longer participate in these holidays. (Another point to be made: How do you get 3 days and 3 nights out of Good Friday, Saturday, and rise early on Sunday morning? We must speak truth, live truth, and honor God before our children and in our lives - We serve a jealous God) Gale Flowers
God made eggs. We did it for fun! I never said anything about an Easter bunny. Is that what people think? That the Easter bunny lays eggs? I guess I should look into it more. Either way eggs are a part of springtime whether or not their a part of Easter. I guess I should have called it "Cool Whip Eggs".
@@MeganFoxUnlocked Again, I apologize if you were offended by my remarks; I've never met anyone who dyed eggs and didn't use them for the traditional Easter celebration. Please forgive my assumption, and thank you for responding to my comment. Gale Flowers
Heat a cup of the vinegar in the microwave till it just boils. The steam loosens any gunk in there so you can just wipe it’s clean. Then put some baking soda in your sink drain and pour the hot vinegar down. It’ll foam and clean it out!
I’m a year late to the party but so thankful I found this! My son is 20 months old and this was great to do with him. Our eggs turned out so cute!!! Thanks for sharing 🥰
Your little girl is so cute. I love how she guides your hand when she wants to help.

White vinegar works great as a fabric softener alternative. I used this several times.
