Patrick doyle is the greatest composer of film music in history and yet so many have not heard of him. I can not praise him enough. His music to Henry 5 surpasses the drama. I'm a huge fan of Shakespeare but his music makes the drama. It is the spirit of humanity and brotherhood in sound.
*For the Glory of GOD. Amen.* *_“Amen! Praise and glory and wisdom and thanks and honor and power and strength be to our God for ever and ever. Amen!”_*
These are the words of Psalm 115:1 'Non nobis Domine, sed nomini tuo da gloriam' which translates, "Not to us, O Lord, but to your name be glory." This arrangement is similar to Ravel's "Bolero" as it begins simply, layering more in each repetition, going into a brilliant bridge and full chorus finale. This is one of my favorite choral arrangements. Brillliant!
I don´t know what to like the most here, if the composer that has transformed a classic story in music in a style very very apropriated, if the conductor Simon Rattle one of my favourite conductors, or if even the singers.... Explendorous!
