Thanks for speaking up about this for the people looking to get involved in the esport and/or content creation. It's not a healthy lifestyle if you aren't careful about it. You're a real one for this
and he wonders whyt he has all them problems with depression and everything else why he on drugs still keep playing on the internet kids inside lonely asf good for u actually believe it or not ? tf
Hello Asry, it is a really rare sight seeing anybody as real as you are in the world nowadays, you just spoke right from your heart for a whole 17 mins. This is the shit people need to hear instead of those "self-improvement" channels.
@@arsenallive1766thank you so much for this. I needed it because it helped me a lot. I really wanna make it pro but this is the first time I’ve been made aware of this mental shit. Thank you arsy
Dude had mad respect for you before watching this video. Mature beyond your years man. Hard truths you speaking my friend. I'm an older RL player and fan. It's really refreshing to see and hear someone your age that's able to see real life. I'm feeling the fire in your heart!
Dont listen to him, he dont know what a job is and let me tell u something… is even worse than being a pro gamer, ur life after the working hours that is what matter, if u can make a game ur job than treat it like a job and go see other ppls at the evening after “working hours”. Dont bitch about it son u have wonderful opportunity to make a very interesting and unique job.
So real for this. Content creation/pro gaming is a blessing but not everything is perfect. If it's something you're looking to get into it you should be prepared for the not so great parts of it. I'm very thankful to be in a great position with friends and family I've had from the very beginning but if you're not prepared this "career" path it can really get the best of you. My advice is hold yourself accountable to separate your work life from your home life. Give yourself time off and allow yourself to still have fun and not always focus on "the grind". Glad things are getting better for you man. Your mental is always the most important thing. Keep being you!
I can tell this has been weighing on you heavy. So much that you fear how its going to affect these young kids and their futures. What a self-less loving message/warning to send out to these kids man. Bravo for sharing those feelings.
Go OFF bro!!! I cant tell you how much i appreciate you being vulnerable and this brutally honest. This new gen needs to know the truth before they sign the dotted line. How dangerous this seriously is for their mental health.
Bro they don't. I'm 27. Talking to a buddy who's 26. I told him about the rule change and he was in support of it. I understand wanting to grind an not wanting to give up on a goal but I think a lot of people (aspiring pros, to the casual viewer and everything in between) do NOT understand the amount of isolation they're going to endure and what kind of mental toll that can be. I have the same mental issues as some pro esports players for the same reason. Isolation can be an incredibly dangerous monster. I dont think they understand just how much isolation theres going to be. Thanks again for saying what you did. Hopefully coming from a pro, some might heed the warning. Love you bro. Stay strong king. "We're all fucked up"
The worst part about rocket league is that it’s such a toxic game, more in the lower ranks when everyone’s ego is so high, but it’s never good for anyone’s mental. Like real soccer players. Grinding ranked while everyone flames you for one mistake always is hard cos you’re trying to do your best. Only thing you can do is brush it off otherwise your mental goes down down down. Thanks arsy. You the realest
Hey arsenal I was GC2 and nowhere near your level but I want to tell you this video propelled my departure from this game big time. As somebody who was enamored with a bunch of these RL creators you will always be on top of all those memories because the realness you show in this video. To really come out and make this video to everybody watching man, it shows your character. Even when a lot of it was focused on the industry and being a professional, lots of kids realized the garbage lifestyle that comes with playing this game with deep aspiration. Its a pipe dream
@@arsenallive1766 It's a very honest and courageous action, knowing that the largest audience is largely "childish" and they won't understand... it's sad, but I know exactly what you said in the video, it seems like you were telling a story about my life lol, but I left the pro of this game right when I started because I realized I would go crazy, so I know what you're talking about even though I went through it on a smaller scale. Congrats on your attitude
I don't know how this video showed up the exact moment I was having suicidal thoughts, I can't cry right now cause I promised my Maa to stay strong, thank you so much brother 💙 for setting my head back to reality, GOD BLESS YOU
Arsy I used to feel the same way bro. I was addicted to gaming, porn, drugs, etc. I wanted to end it all so many times. I wanted to give up and throw in the towel. Jesus saved me and changed my life brother. It sounds corny but he is real and he wants you to give him your problems and he will give u rest like he did me. You are an inspiration brother keep pushing and please just pray and give God a chance because he has never left u or forsaken u and he just wants u to call to him. He is a gentle man, he won’t burst in your door he knocks but u have to open and I promise if you do u will love the choice u made. I love you and so many do❤
Love this video ❤ I’m 24 and you’re 100% right, learned the hard way that sometimes you’re so focused on chasing the bag that you don’t even think about why and what you want to do with it when you get it
I remember back when you first moved to PC we used to play 2s together, I said to myself that this guy with the flamethrower boost and one hell of a flick is gonna do great things in Rocket League one day. To where you have come after all these years is inspiring. Hearing you speak truly from the soul resonated with me and made me realize some aspects of my life from a different perspective. Always will respect, support, and admire you.
Dang. I feel old seeing you comment. Used to watch your Wheelshakers stuff all the time back in like 2016-2017 with mittens and TCR. Glad you’re still around man!
I went through this when I was 19. Quitting RL esports was the best decision I ever made. I’m 24 now and I always make sure to go outside and create memories with others rather than stay inside all day gaming. I left division 3 college hockey to pursue RL and to this day, it is the biggest regret I have.
@AliHussain23609 D3 is the lowest college division under D2 and D1. D3 is still very good though obviously, don't know too much about it other than that, think it has to do mostly with funding but someone correct me if I'm wrong
@@AliHussain23609 yes it was very high level. You can play professionally from Division 3. Its very different from other sports where D3 is considered low end. D2 doesn’t really exist for hockey so D3 is basically like Division 1 just a little less competitive. Still insanely good
I was a D3 swimmer and messed up with mixed up priorities. The perspective gained from having to take a different route, missing out on the rest of my swimming career helped me see life in a different light. I understand your regret, but when you’re 36 like me, I think you’ll see how that perspective gained and honing in on what you know you like and don’t like, appreciate and don’t, will help you be more grounded and move through your journey in a way that is better for you. Just a thought
You speak a lot of Truth it's not just the gaming industry. Every job you're ever going to have is going to want you to do something you don't want to do. But you know what do it your way because you're talented enough to do it your way. Haters are going to hate because they don't possess what you have. Your true followers love watching you play rocket League with that passion for the game not for the money but for the content for the fans and for yourself of actually enjoying what you love to do. I thought I was a SSG but I realize I was an Arsenal fan because you can tell that you love doing what you do and I love watching the style you do it in. Keep your head up stay true to yourself.
Man, being honest years ago I thought you had a big ego, admittedly I didn’t know you much at all, it was just what was on the surface when you were competing in RLCS. I see now you’re real, and honest. To come out and speak the truth, maybe save even one kid from going through the same struggles.
yo man realest video ever and u really put the pro scene in perspective, its a hard career to make actually viable and to see this just re-enforced the fact that shit aint always as it seems.
It's really impressive and improtant that you got the courage to talk about something as personal as in front of such a big audience! I truly hope that your message reaches everyone in need of hearing it - be it someone that would love to become a pro or a content creator or just someone that likes Rocket League and wants to work a "regular" job; your message is universally applicable and very important: you have to find, what your passionate about and do it, but at the same time you can't neglect yourself, your feelings or your loved ones. There has to be some sort of balance. Thank you for your honest words, I hope you feel much better now than you did in the past!
Arsenal, what a beautiful message. I picked up Rocket League in 2022 as a new game/ hobby and I fell in love with the game so quickly. I got so inspired by your roster on SSG with Daniel and Retals and NRG and their roster that I came out to see wild card day 4 in Dickies arena live. It was an incredible experience to see you live, even though you weren’t feeling well and left the stage after absolutely CLIPPING to end the game. I tell you this to let you know the impact you have had on me and so many others I’m sure. I feel your heavy heart with this message, thank you for sharing your personal experience and wisdom. Win or lose, keep playing or not, love you man ❤
Wasgud Arsenal, ngl man, this video really opened my mind in a way that you probably can't even imagine. I've always looked up at you and other Rocket League players and i was like " Damn I really wanna be as good as them so i can joing a team." In 2021 I started focusing a lot on Rocket League, trying to improve and climb ranks. However, I reached a point where I wasn't getting better anymore, not ranking up or anything, and I started getting more and more stressed. It really messed with my mind, and in 2022, I started experiencing a pretty hard depression. I had disappointments in relationships, suicidal thoughts and, I was at rock bottom. Just like you said, i wasnt feeling fulfilled. I've never had friends or anything like that, I've always been lonely and introverted as hell. Like you mentioned, my best friend was my controller and my monitor, and I still got insanely frustrated. I still trying to play Rocket League well enough to join a team. This season I'm focusing on 1v1, but I'm seriously thinking about giving up because it's bringing more stress than happiness. My mental sanity is just gone, and your video made me reflect a lot. Thank you so much for the video and for opening my mind brother, you'll always be the best... stay safe bro
Through all your words, we feel so much that you suffered. It almost made me cry. I can't even imagine a thousandth of the pain and sadness you must have felt. How it must have eaten you away. But thank goodness I came across your videos. It was one of the few things that made me smile during the worst time of my life. I had mornings where I couldn't take my life anymore, but I always got up and told myself that Your videos would help me because of You. I was extremely pleased, and it provided me with a sense of motivation to move forward. I express my gratitude for all the hard work you have put in. You didn't do this for nothing because you may have saved me and many other people. Sorry for the bad English and THANK YOU from France.
When people flame me about how I don't have a "real" job, I've never been able to articulate it in a way that people truly get what I mean. You did a very good job explaining it. There is a price you pay when you lock yourself in your room and grind ungodly hours EVEN if you are passionate about it.
Wow. Bro didn’t fall off. He fell unto something more real than video games. Respect on you brotha. You keeping it real and showing people what matters.
You said it very well. Glad you take time to reflect and realize these things about yourself. Its important whether you want to continue in the esport or not
26 years old here and always thought it was strange looking up to dudes younger than me because the idea of being a pro gamer was/is dope. Thank you for posting this dawg, we all needed this perspective in our lives.
Ngl man, anyone above a certain age understands it’s not all fun and games. You gotta work hard, and there’s lots of isolation due to the grind. But at the end of the day - you are able to provide for yourself and your family to the extent that many, many people just are not able to. By playing video games. Most jobs really fucking suck. You’re not getting paid $16 an hour, dealing with an annoying and creepy coworker who doesn’t realize he’s annoying as fuck and won’t stop yapping, dealing with a shitty boss that tries to guilt trip you for calling out sick so you can rest and not get everyone else sick, with shitty/missing benefits, and the list goes on. It doesn’t invalidate what you’re going through, but that’s just how it is man. At least you’re compensated and you can play video games. I think a therapist, a couple close real friends and a gf that actually cares about you and not your money/clout would help you immensely. Because being lonely sucks. But at least you’re able to actually live.
It truly affected me when they announced they decreased the minimum age requirement for RL pros from 15->13. There to young to be even at that amount of stress in their lives. your words really reached me deep inside. You spoke straight facts and people do have to understand that no everything is what it seems. We need more people like you spreading their experiences to people that want to pursue something that can look harmless.
@@NASTYMMAyes because even adults can fall victim to the rocket league trap so there’s reason to believe it could perm alter a kid since they are still developing
I’m not much older at 29 years old but this video speaks to much more than RL. It honestly speaks to life. It’s so important to take a step back, ground yourself to reality, and consider the things you truly care about in life. Most things good or bad are temporary. I think the most important thing in life is relationships and the people around us. It gives us more life purpose.
honestly being online so much has made me realize that it genuinely like stripped me of my personality and my emotions and it created a lot of mental issues for me. It's a horrible cycle I don't wish on anybody. Speaking out about this kind of thing is super genuine and I hope people benefit from this.
This one was super helpful to me because I struggle with a lot of things you touched on here. I personally want to go pro, and this isn’t changing that, but I do need to be aware of what to look out for to keep a decent mental going forward whether I make it or not. Relationships are the thing that I value over all others, and I think part of why I want to go pro is to make those relationships with some of the people I grew up watching because I just feel connections to people so easily, but that can be a very dangerous road to go down. Thank you for uploading videos like these, they help a shit ton.
This is genuinely one of the most important videos that a kid below the age of 18 can watch. It is so real, and all of it is true. The world sucks, it’s lonely, dark, and not fun. And the worst part about life is feeling like you have to fake it.
I've watched the video, and it resonated with the significant burden that mental health can impose. However, I believe its impact varies based on an individual's circumstances. As an aspiring RL pro, this content has served as a source of inspiration, fueling my motivation to strive for improvement and work even harder. I will keep in mind all of this, and thank you for the information.
This is what we lack as a nation. Just speaking the truth. Straight from the heart. Mad respect and appreciation for you bro. This speech alone could be more impactful than anything else you've done thus far. You got mad support and love out here for your bro. Keep your heart up. 💪❤️
You're wise beyond your years. That kind of sincerity and concern only comes from real lived experience. From a random internet stranger, you're on the right path. Follow your intuition.
i had a friend his RL name i risky. he actually beat arsenal in a 2s match before. like 4 years ago or so. he started streaming and had plans on going pro or at the very least becoming twitch famous. he stopped after maybe 8 months because it was taking his mental health down. i never understood it until now because i would love to make money playing video games. he is actually happier going to work everyday than he was when he was streaming. on that note love the videos man and i hope youre feeling good mentally.
this applies to whatever anybody wants to pursue, not just esports; really digest his words if you’re thinking about being a content creator, musician, artist, etc etc. everything he said is raw and real bro, and it’s all facts.
I don't know who you or how old you are but you are wise young man. Thank you for speaking out about industries that seem all glamour. Good luck to you.
Arsenal, NEVER change bro! Continue to honor yourself and others. You using your platform to enlighten and encourage will have genuine impact. It’s so true that we think we can discard our SOUL for something that won’t even last our lifetime. Building a community with people who genuinely care for you and have true love for you will last generations.
i ain’t gon lie you hit home. im 20 and tryna find my career, and it seems like no matter what career i chose, if i want big money, i have to pick a spot and play my role. you broke it down and made it so clear on how it really is.. money comes with sacrifices apparently
Love you. Just do whats right for you. The critics that always need this and need that from you dont matter in the long run. Get your small circle and keep them close.
I'm glad you're saying this. I'm not a young man, so I didn't deal with it specifically in gaming, but I am a professional musician. Some of the most stressful moments were always in view of tons of the public. Add a competitive game to that kind of performance anxiety, and things get real, real fast. No matter what anyone tells you, you aren't going to be prepared for it. It gets even worse when you start losing yourself to the crowd... salute to you for being so candid about it. I hope that anybody considering your path listens, and listens well.
It truly is hard for kid's that have barley lived life and to be put into a spot light like that and have problem's is heart breaking. It's nice to see people try to reach out to those people and still understand what's right and wrong and try to teach other's. I'm happy your trying to reach people like this keep it up.
Ain’t gonna lie arsenal my man real man shit right there. I’m 25 worried about making the most money I feel the same fucking way now dying of cancer no one around. Listen to what he is saying y’all listen. He is being real. I wish I could shake your fuckin hand right now arsenal.
You got a big assignment on youir life bro. Way bigger than rocket league. God is gonna raise you up to be a voice in this generation. Press into Him and yield to what Hes putting on your heart. Love you man.
bro, this conversation had to be started and your insight and level of maturity brought such depth to it that i really can't stop watching it and thinking about what you were saying. Not only from the pro player side of things, but how chasing the bag comes with its huge price. And its not really "if you're careful", i really think its how it works. Either you chase it or you're out of the race. It's super important for everyone, not just people trynna become pros, everyone remotely interested in self growth should watch this. Its illuminating and refreshing content. I'm struggling to ask you to keep it up just like this because these things can't be easy to share like that. But keep being a positive influence in the world Arsy. I beg of you. We need people like you.
you're a legend for this bro. people dont talk enough about depression in gaming and being a pro player is a whole nother level. glad to see you're in a better place now
much respect from me for this video!!! i think its important that you speak the truth for the youngest generation! money and status means nothing! And as an older person i tell you...everything will be fine! Life is short but long at the same time! soon as you end your pro career you will still have enough time for yourself, family, friends and memories! you are on the right way with your mind!
Appreciate you, man! This message goes past RL and content creation. It happens in school, work, home life, etc. There’s a fine line between being authentically you and putting our emotions to the wayside for validation. In the end, you’ll almost always be happier being the authentic you. Of course to some degree, you need to create an ego for yourself, but it doesn’t have to be the idea of “ego” that has the negative connotation. More so, just a true sense of confidence in your authenticity and who you are and that it’s okay to be you, exactly as you are. Keep on killing it, Arsy 😎
Thanks for being real homie. Never knew you was going through that. I wish you the best my friend. Youre truly a great man/role model for these kids. Scary seeing the age lowered to 13..
As a bit of dad advice, this is great wisdom, and insight, and anyone should really listen to this, and not just listen, but really understand the depth of what he is talking about here. This is isn't just about pro gaming, and it isn't just about Rocket League. Apply it to any pursuit in your life. Everything you do in life doesn't have to make you happy, but if it makes you miserable, then you should probably think real hard about avoiding it, or changing careers, paths etc. Really examine what you are losing by continuing your current path.
I made my UA-cam channel about a year ago and quickly grew to 2k subs, along with a discord server of 400 ppl. In those 2 months of growth I got .1% of the experience that Arsenal and these other RL Pros/UA-camrs go through every day and immediately realized the elusive dream of internet fame could never be worth it, no matter the wealth or status. Very well spoken Arsenal, you put into words something I couldn't describe before.
God damn man....i already had a lot of respect for you but this took it to the next level. Coming from a 35 yr old grand plat, you are a fucking beacon of truth to these kids. You are very wise for your age and when you get my age you surely will have exponentially changed the world for the better. Thank you.
Arsenal, I couldn’t thank you enough for making this, your tryna help us and I love that, your an amazing person being real unlike many people, I want to be in Rlcs someday hopefully soon, I’m 18, I’m grinding but I also have a full time job, got 1-2 friends that I love to death, we don’t hangout very often but sometimes we do and we talk a lot and I love that, couldn’t imagine losing them, got ppl that care about me and I Defintely don’t appreciate that enough, this has made me realize I need to, thank you for this, and I hope one day when I am a pro player that I can play against you or by your side on the same team, might sound cringey but this shi almost made me tear up, like just hearing you taking about it it’s rough for them younger kids, personally I don’t want the fame if I’m being honest money is one reason, but the main reason is I want to become a pro bc I love this game, I love the comp scene of it and you make it so enjoyable and make me want to grind harder each day, much love to you bro and know that your an amazing person, we can all tell your an amazing guy and real asf, we all respect that and you are the greatest person I’ve ever seen in my life🫶
This has really good parallels to having your own business too.. essentially being a pro gamer is also having your own brand and experience the same things. When you go all in on one thing, its challenging to balance things bc the way we're taught balance is actually wrong. Balance is just giving an activity the amount of time it needs to level up. IE If you wanna go pro Instead of grinding 200hrs shooting from champ > ssl then instantly pushing for bubble player When you hit X goal, take a beat, see what the opportunity cost of that goal was (ie did you skip work outs to get more ranked games in?) Than go and spend some time to regain your health and mental, and then optimize your day to day habits so you dont lose your mental health Once a week minimum should go and hang out with friends Daily should work out at least once, if you're sitting more than 8hrs, then at least 3-4hrs of working out and movement With a very healthy diet Hold your health accountable, and make sure you take into account your physical and spiritual health. Life gets so much harder as you get older. Invest your teens and 20s well. Good vid bro!
I appreciate the words man. The clips and winning pro games is only a small part of people's lives, and theres a lot going on off screen. I genuinely hope for the future generation of pros to keep this in mind.
real shit bro, so many things on social media drain our soul without us realizing, being nonchalant aint it, doing shit for money aint it, getting off social media is probably the best advice anyone could receive. GO OUTSIDE
I love what you said and i just wanna say you should always make time for friends and family i am currently going through a tough time with suicide and for me my friends were the only things holding me back
Arsenal. I appreciate and applaud you putting this video out. This is a really important message that needs to be said more. I’m glad you chose to advocate for these youngsters trying to make it by doing either crazy or dangerous stunts. It probably is fun at first but it will take a toll. I used to be in the crowd asking for more videos and saying “I wish they would post more, cmon do it for the fans!” But watching Flakes one day (he streams very little) he mentioned having a life and doing things. It made me realize one fundamental thing. There is a person on the other side of the camera and they have needs just like I do to socialize, be with friends and family, instead of being in front of that camera. I do realize that it’s a job and we are the consumers but that doesn’t mean that you are here for our beck and call. You do it for you and if you start hating it, then it’s time to reflect and if you make the decision that you are going to quit, I’m behind you with support 100%. That’s not an easy decision but I will be rooting for you to take care of yourself. You come first. This message is really important and should be spread more and come to the light. The issue is, money knows how to drown these messages out. I know Leth has said things about it but who here remembers that? Why isn’t that at the forefront still. Again, appreciate you Arsenal for putting this out there and using your platform to be that voice. I’m sorry to hear about all you went through but I’m glad to hear you’re doing better. It does make me happier you are posting less and taking care of yourself more. Please please please continue to do that.
As Much as you're speaking the truth someway, I still feel like U don't understand how bad life is when you have to work a job years and years just to get out of the rat race... Did you ever work a job more than a year? The struggle to get financially free is way worse than what u got going on... U got so much opportunities, u can start livestreaming IRL, u can start an own brand,.... It's just what u'l l do now u got the fame. Make sure u use your money wisely and invest or make a business with it or some. Then u won't have to do this for much longer.... Also life just starts after 22-25 so you will get all the memories once u start doing what I just mentioned. Worklife ain't it either, talking out of experience, all love tho
Arsenal, I've watched you play for a while now and I've always thought you were a genuine dude. I love that you are out here speaking truth, your truth to the community because as glamorous as this life looks and sounds there's always the negative/dark side to it that no one knows, no one sees, no one even considers. You are doing something that most content creators, professional athletes, esports pros, and any other individual with a similar stature wouldn't even consider for fear of taking a hit from a monetary standpoint. Thank you for putting this out there because for a lot of people they don't come to this realization until much later in life when it's too late or worse after the darkness has its complete hold on them and they succumb to it.
And look how FAMOUS YOU ARE, because of that game. It's the good, with the bad, my talented, fellow ADD bro. You're awesome Arsenal, everybody knows you, and God has placed you where you are to do more, like you are doing now, telling your story. Tell your story bro, you are a leader now, even if you don't want to be. Keep using your platform to tell the truth, and to represent the GOOD. Love ya bro! And if you have Jesus in your heart, you never feel empty bro! Best thing I ever did was to become a Christian.
A lot of people need to hear this. Not just the kids coming up in the rl scene. Wise beyond your years from bullshit that no one your age should have to go through. Consider it a blessing that you viscerally realized these things so early in life. Thank you for putting this out there, Im sure it will be a wake up call for many, especially kids without a figure to tell them these things.
Watching this makes me just want to set down my game and go back to jogging when I wake up on my rest days cause to me rl feels like a release but watching this judt makes me realize that it's true I do online school cause in person was bad for me but now I got no friends like actually able to hang out with and it's just me my online friends and lifting weights I feel alone even with my family cause I'm always inside feeling exhausted and tired like I was just not wanting to shower etc sorry for just dumping but thanks arsenal for shedding a light on many subjects in one video
The person who decided to lower the age to 13 needs to see this video. Kids are dumb. They don't know what they're doing to themselves but that's why adults should be looking out for them and not robbing them of their childhood. Thank you for sharing Arsenal. It's very brave and will help a lot of kids I have no doubt.
Awhile back when drama popped off I commented that I didn’t like seeing two or more players butting heads publicly. At the time you said “drama makes the game interesting.” To an extent, sure. But what you’re saying about clout, it’s all it is. I mentioned I was a pro scooter rider, and how the drama not only reflects on you but the org/sponsors you represent. This is partially the point I was making. None of it is worth it and it doesn’t further anything positive for you, your org/sponsor or the community as a whole. Much love, Arsenal. The real ones will always remain, the posers will kick rocks and move on to whatever toxicity entertains them. But ultimately it hurts you the most. Coming from a grandpa RL player at the ripe age of 38, going through a lot of change in my life that affected my mental. I respect the hell out of you for putting your heart on your sleeve. You’re 100% right, be true to yourself and wear your heart on your sleeve like a badge of honor.
A valuable warning and i hope this message gets to all those that need to hear it . One of the things about achieving something great is that you need to become a great person to achieve great things.
Money does not buy happiness and i will live by that statement, its hard to realize it because it sounds so amazing but how you word it makes everyone who watches this realize that maybe this isnt as good as it seems. Sure you have people that look up to you but exactly like you said, when you sit back down in yo room, its just you and yo mental game… thank you for talking about how you have to act different to even get into some different groups especially for friends. I love this video so much and you speak exactly how i feel which makes me feel better knowing im not the only one that feels and thinks this way.
this is my second year being suicidal and it’s crazy because i used to always tell myself i would never let it get to this point. i used to be so strong and over the years i kinda just lost myself.
bro just focus on shit that makes you happy lmao, hop off the internet or something and just realize your problems dont mean shit, they will be gone 5-20 years from now
love the message arsy, ive always said id love to be a youtuber but sometimes I forget I only see the highlights and funny moments, and not the sacrifices of the lifestyle. I hope u find the balance ur looking for and be truly happy. I only wish the best for someone like u with a great heart and personality who spreads a lot of positivity
Man, this clip felt like you were speaking to me... Just had to take a minute and think about life and all that shit... This is why I admire you not as a pro but also as a person, you're one of my favorite people in the Rocket League community. Thank you for speaking up
bro needs a hug. but fr, all jokes aside, best thing you can do to "get a life" is to get involved with something. get yourself into a certain frame, like getting a job, sign to a gym or even go to collage. get yourself into the "system", everyone else be out there trying to leave the "system" or "escape the matrix" but its the safest option for a person to be part of.
I'm a married man with 4 kids, a house, and 2 cars. I made it to the American dream and I can tell you right now that everything looks better on the outside. There is no lifestyle that's better or easier than another. Pro RL player, engineer, grocery store clerk, or any other path will always be riddled with challenges. If you can find the one that has challenges you can manage, you're doing better than at least half of Americans.
and i can really tell how much this effects u and how heavy it is on your shoulders, but i’m glad u have posted this it’s glad to see u getting stuff out when it’s needed
bro, it makes me so happy to see that someone this real is in the rl scene, and willing to talk on real topics like this. keep being you arsy, you are hitting home like nothing else to some people with this video
Thanks for speaking up about this for the people looking to get involved in the esport and/or content creation. It's not a healthy lifestyle if you aren't careful about it. You're a real one for this
Hard work pays off but you need a lot of luck as well!
and he wonders whyt he has all them problems with depression and everything else why he on drugs still keep playing on the internet kids inside lonely asf good for u actually believe it or not ? tf
The modern day job market isn’t a healthy lifestyle, and at least you guys are compensated hand over fist for the bullshit you have to deal with.
Pathetic ...
you're really gonna cry about your job being a video game 💀
Hello Asry, it is a really rare sight seeing anybody as real as you are in the world nowadays, you just spoke right from your heart for a whole 17 mins. This is the shit people need to hear instead of those "self-improvement" channels.
I really appreciate this message bro, more than u know
@@arsenallive1766thank you so much for this.
@@twistplot4040 sir jobs make it more lonely
So real for this. Content creation/pro gaming is a blessing but not everything is perfect. If it's something you're looking to get into it you should be prepared for the not so great parts of it. I'm very thankful to be in a great position with friends and family I've had from the very beginning but if you're not prepared this "career" path it can really get the best of you. My advice is hold yourself accountable to separate your work life from your home life. Give yourself time off and allow yourself to still have fun and not always focus on "the grind". Glad things are getting better for you man. Your mental is always the most important thing. Keep being you!
Great words from a great man
Arsenal is so real. And to all the 13 year olds who want to be a pro so bad, make sure you also make time for friends and family too.
Big facts
I can tell this has been weighing on you heavy. So much that you fear how its going to affect these young kids and their futures. What a self-less loving message/warning to send out to these kids man. Bravo for sharing those feelings.
Weighing on me very heavily bro, I just wanna help people move in the right direction.
Go OFF bro!!! I cant tell you how much i appreciate you being vulnerable and this brutally honest.
This new gen needs to know the truth before they sign the dotted line. How dangerous this seriously is for their mental health.
Can be so bad but people don’t get it.
Bro I cannot put into words how much value this video have, for real.
I’m just trying to help everyone ya feel me
@@arsenallive1766 It's a very honest and courageous action, knowing that the largest audience is largely "childish" and they won't understand... it's sad, but I know exactly what you said in the video, it seems like you were telling a story about my life lol, but I left the pro of this game right when I started because I realized I would go crazy, so I know what you're talking about even though I went through it on a smaller scale. Congrats on your attitude
I don't know how this video showed up the exact moment I was having suicidal thoughts, I can't cry right now cause I promised my Maa to stay strong, thank you so much brother 💙 for setting my head back to reality, GOD BLESS YOU
Love these off the cuff videos. This fr one of the most fundamental yet most challenging things ever: respecting and living through your own soul.
That’s the most important thing
This is the realest talk about what celebrity is like. Thank you for sharing this. Stay real.
I love you and so many do❤
I have been building a relationship with god, I appreciate the words brother
I love you bro : thank you for taking the time to be real . I can relate to everything your saying .
I love u too bro, stay true to urself
Love this video ❤ I’m 24 and you’re 100% right, learned the hard way that sometimes you’re so focused on chasing the bag that you don’t even think about why and what you want to do with it when you get it
Bro I listened to the whole 17 minutes didn’t even realize it was that long. Keep your head up Brother 💯 your voice is heard and your feelings matter
Feels crazy seeing u bro, thank u so much for this message❤
I went through this when I was 19. Quitting RL esports was the best decision I ever made. I’m 24 now and I always make sure to go outside and create memories with others rather than stay inside all day gaming. I left division 3 college hockey to pursue RL and to this day, it is the biggest regret I have.
I don’t know American stuff so is division 3 like very high?
@AliHussain23609 D3 is the lowest college division under D2 and D1. D3 is still very good though obviously, don't know too much about it other than that, think it has to do mostly with funding but someone correct me if I'm wrong
@@AliHussain23609 yes it was very high level. You can play professionally from Division 3. Its very different from other sports where D3 is considered low end. D2 doesn’t really exist for hockey so D3 is basically like Division 1 just a little less competitive. Still insanely good
@@durteedan7836not funding but size
To come out and speak the truth, maybe save even one kid from going through the same struggles.
yo man realest video ever and u really put the pro scene in perspective, its a hard career to make actually viable and to see this just re-enforced the fact that shit aint always as it seems.
you did a lot for the game and for what man, im so sorry tshak,
Thanks big dog, I love inspiring more than anything
Sorry for the bad English and THANK YOU from France.
good video, there are things that can be understood only in this way 👏🏽🙌🏽
When people flame me about how I don't have a "real" job, I've never been able to articulate it in a way that people truly get what I mean. You did a very good job explaining it. There is a price you pay when you lock yourself in your room and grind ungodly hours EVEN if you are passionate about it.
Thank you man I was thinking about being a pro gamer but after seeing this i don’t want to
Wow. Bro didn’t fall off. He fell unto something more real than video games. Respect on you brotha. You keeping it real and showing people what matters.
You said it very well. Glad you take time to reflect and realize these things about yourself. Its important whether you want to continue in the esport or not
"It's not cool to not show feelings" is something that men all around the world need to understand
Awful take. They can go mindlessly slave at school for 7hrs/day but your worried about their mental health from a video game?
Good luck mate. Best of luck to you g. Stay strong homie
Best of luck to you bro
Good luck , always keep your priorities straight.
People in the Twitch chat are too young to understand, but the older folks, we get it. Thanks for venting, man.
7:08 BRUHHH I didn’t know you were gonna go there. I’m so glad you’re talking about humiliation rituals. You’re 100% spot on, this is all so demonic.
i had a friend his RL name i risky. he actually beat arsenal in a 2s match before. like 4 years ago or so. he started streaming and had plans on going pro or at the very least becoming twitch famous. he stopped after maybe 8 months because it was taking his mental health down. i never understood it until now because i would love to make money playing video games. he is actually happier going to work everyday than he was when he was streaming.
on that note love the videos man and i hope youre feeling good mentally.
this applies to whatever anybody wants to pursue, not just esports; really digest his words if you’re thinking about being a content creator, musician, artist, etc etc. everything he said is raw and real bro, and it’s all facts.
God Bless you Asry, i fw your content, i like the gameplay, but i enjoy and appreciate more your personality and your transparency
Thanks brother, I appreciate u a lot
I don't know who you or how old you are but you are wise young man. Thank you for speaking out about industries that seem all glamour. Good luck to you.
thanks for making this video arsenal, I hope the youth believe you and dont try to test it for themselves. Follow your heart not money.
you a real one my young brother... keep spitting reality to the youth. much love and all respect
Bro these subtitles 😭
It’s such a serious vid , how this subtitle gon say „I‘m a Beyoncé“ 😭😭
i ain’t gon lie you hit home. im 20 and tryna find my career, and it seems like no matter what career i chose, if i want big money, i have to pick a spot and play my role. you broke it down and made it so clear on how it really is.. money comes with sacrifices apparently
Always rooted for you, the maturity you showed is next level.
I agree with your perspective of the new age cap, It’s not going to be healthy at all.
damn bro didnt know ur struggles man hopefully this opens up peoples eyes much luv
Thank you for being so transparent and honest. Takes alot of confidence to come out and say all of this. Nothing but love for you Arsenal. ❤
This is the realist rant I’ve seen in a long time. Powerful words. Genuinely thank you for sharing them Arsenal
bro, this conversation had to be started and your insight and level of maturity brought such depth to it that i really can't stop watching it and thinking about what you were saying.
Dude, that's some real talk right there, props to you for this what an awesome point of view on all this internet bs.
You really just shattered my dreams.
you're a legend for this bro. people dont talk enough about depression in gaming and being a pro player is a whole nother level. glad to see you're in a better place now
much respect from me for this video!!! i think its important that you speak the truth for the youngest generation! money and status means nothing!
Thank you.
That was real talk. Appreciate you looking out for the next wave of gamers/streamers. Glad you found your peace.
IE
If you wanna go pro
Instead of grinding 200hrs shooting from champ > ssl then instantly pushing for bubble player
When you hit X goal, take a beat, see what the opportunity cost of that goal was (ie did you skip work outs to get more ranked games in?)
Than go and spend some time to regain your health and mental, and then optimize your day to day habits so you dont lose your mental health
Once a week minimum should go and hang out with friends
Daily should work out at least once, if you're sitting more than 8hrs, then at least 3-4hrs of working out and movement
With a very healthy diet
Hold your health accountable, and make sure you take into account your physical and spiritual health.
GO OUTSIDE
I love what you said and i just wanna say you should always make time for friends and family i am currently going through a tough time with suicide and for me my friends were the only things holding me back
Much love arsenal, this video hit on another level. Definitely impacted me, and im sure a lot of others can benefit from hearing this
You're real for this bro, this is what really needs to be talked about
Arsenal, I've watched you play for a while now and I've always thought you were a genuine dude.
I’m 14 and I was planning to go pro on rl but you “opened my eyes” and now I’m rethinking it a lot.
I love this video so much and you speak exactly how i feel which makes me feel better knowing im not the only one that feels and thinks this way.
this is my second year being suicidal and it’s crazy because i used to always tell myself i would never let it get to this point. i used to be so strong and over the years i kinda just lost myself.
bro just focus on shit that makes you happy lmao, hop off the internet or something and just realize your problems dont mean shit, they will be gone 5-20 years from now
@@QU141. solid advice
@@jbennyv you damn right it is
Sorry but you were always a bit depressed if you told yourself you wouldn't go to that point
@@paulo_9423 yeah depressed but not suicidal
arsy this title of the video should’ve been, “THE TRUTH ABOUT LIFE”
Real shit bro if you ever need someone we will be around you got support
2:37 I Fkn knew it. I knew u looked very familiar just couldn’t put my finger on it.
love the message arsy, ive always said id love to be a youtuber but sometimes I forget I only see the highlights and funny moments, and not the sacrifices of the lifestyle.
If you can find the one that has challenges you can manage, you're doing better than at least half of Americans.
and i can really tell how much this effects u and how heavy it is on your shoulders, but i’m glad u have posted this it’s glad to see u getting stuff out when it’s needed
bro, it makes me so happy to see that someone this real is in the rl scene, and willing to talk on real topics like this. keep being you arsy, you are hitting home like nothing else to some people with this video
love ya arsy, do what ya want, we be here
