Now, I definitely disagree with splitting everything. I like nice places too, but I don't order what I can't afford. I make it a point to deal with people who understand that if they order it, they had better be prepared to pay for it. My best friend is well off and often offers to pay the bill, but I don't take advantage by ordering up like I'm well off also. I'll never be that one with a $500 bill, expecting someone with a $250 bill to split. I consider that a grift.

I am the kind of person that go to the grocery store because I don't go to places and plan on sitting in a restaurant all day. I am not a foodie. I don't do the traveling thing but if I do I am there for the experience and restaurants is not what I consider an experience unless they are putting on a show.
