I love how Josh’s interviews never sound artificial or forced, but more like a chat with friends. Austin and Jodie have been such a great partnership on the press tour and this has just become my favourite interview of theirs for Bikeriders.
Josh always brings out the best when he interviews, especially in Austin Butler. The Bikeriders is such a good film, so incredibly well acted. I really hope it does well.
Josh is so genuine and knows how to make his guests relax and have intelligent conversations. Thank you! This is always what I'm looking for as a movie fan.
Austin Butler, successfully, portrayed a biker who was immersed in a "need to belong to a cause" lifestyle. He and Tom showed empathy, which Austin can't hide, normally. What a joy to see some of my favorite actors, Austin, Tom and Michael. Time well spend
33:06 Jodie, my dear, no one will ever get over the end of KE and you as Villanelle was the best thing in the series (maybe without you as V the series would just be meh), but see the bisexual psychopathic assassin more incredible of all time dying like that was horrible, the good thing is that Jodie herself said she didn't like it, nobody liked it
As a massive fan of Heat - like nearly all movie fans - if the casting rumours for a prequel of Adam Driver (in the De Niro role) and Austin Butler (in the Val Kilmer role) are true then I think we might be onto a serious winner.
OH MY GOD!!!!! I LOVE THIS!!!!! I have been waiting for this and it was WORTH THE WAIT!!!! this as amazing!!!! my rabbit hole is Austin and Jodie I love them so much!!!!!!
It’s now 2am in BJ cuz I told myself I need to save this podcast for the best time (meaning after work when no one wants to talk to me for the day) and it’s totally worth it! Josh thank u for asking so many good questions that help us know more about the two adorable people. Especially in terms of Austin, how he shared his thoughts and experiences about acting is so beautiful and so real. And again, Josh u r so good at this. Thank you. ❤
@@johnjungkook2721 If you got that from my comment thats not what I meant... The "thank you" is clearly genuine. Sometimes it's just difficult to have someone praise you so highly right in front of your face so you get a little shy or embarrassed or self-deprecating - which is in my experience a very stereo typically British reaction.
Austin Butler's voice is like Brad Pitt, his characteristic whistle when saying words and his subtle-sounding but definitely not too low timbre make him charismatic and can be embedded in almost any character he plays. Creativity with sound enriches the actor's skills so much that he stays on stage. and also an even greater artist.
Is it only me, or is there a pattern in JC's choice of projects? Beginning with the short role in Star Wars; Free Guy with an all-star cast including Ryan Reynolds, Taika Waititi, Joe Kerry, Lil Rel Howery, Utkarsh Ambudkar and Britney Oldford; the Ridley Scott movie The Last Duel starring Matt Damon, Adam Driver and Ben Affleck (written by Damon, Affleck and Nicole Holofcener); The highly acclaimed COVID drama Help opposite Stephen Graham; The End We Start From -- arguably a scifi disaster movie in its own right -- alongside Joel Fry, Katherine Waterston and Benedict Cumberbatch et al; The Bikeriders, written and directed by Jeff Nichols featuring Austin Butler, Tom Hardy Norman Reedus, Michael Shannon; Upcoming: The Death of Robin Hood with Hugh Jackman; Danny Boyle's 28 Years Later, co written with Alex Garland, featuring Ralph Fienness, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Cillian Murphy, Erin Kellyman and Jack O'Connell. The cast and crew of these movie projects is mind blowing, but there also seems to be a non-random pattern to it. Jodie Comer once mentioned that she’d want to do a “proper sci-fi”, and the cast and crew of her post Killing Eve projects come across as a who’s who in sci-fi and fantasy. There are people from the orbits of Star Wars and Justice League (Batman, Flash), from Marvel’s Avengers over Dr. Strange and Deadpool to Marvel’s X-Men and Wolverine, from Inception to Doctor Who to Dune, from Harry Potter to Pirates of the Caribbean, from Bladerunner to Alien to The Martian and many other standalone sci-fi and fantasy productions. For someone who said in a previous Happy Sad Confused Interview she is no Marvel Fan she surely has crossed paths with a hell of a lot of actors from that multiverse alone. The projects all are fantastic and at the same time look like very clever deliberate choices pointing in a sci-fi and possibly fantasy direction. Also she wants to make a musical will soon play alongside Wolverine and The Last Showman actor Hugh Jackman. It’s all about networking… I’m sure we will more sci-fi with her and hopefully also a musical. And I bet it will be something meaningful.
When Jodie says "Jack Nichols" and Austin comes straight in with "Jack Nicholson". Think she was confusing his name with The Bikeriders director Jeff Nichols
Today i find a new clou about U...Marelin Monroe...with a little make-up she becomes U...I always love 2 TV womans...MM and Whitney H...both are "dead"...theyr spirits are angels now who caried both...?Jodie C and Jessie J...this Univers blow me, like Pink's song. Love U both!
Jesus Christ! If they don’t fancy each other then I’m Margaret Bloody Thatcher!🥴Sooo much Chemistry and sparks ⚡️😳flying everywhere between them🔥they would make such a cute couple💞. Also I bloody love this interview, the interviewer is brilliant, a relaxed, fun and in-depth interview with these two very charming, funny and charismatic people❤️.
The last time Michael Shannon was on a longer format Happy Sad Confused was 2018, 6 years ago. Josh claims to be his BFF. How is this possible? And i am not counting that 9 minute quickie he did with Shannon wearing his daughters pink hawaiian tshirt during Covid. That doesnt count.
Please tell me I didnt just watch this almost hour interview where Josh asked zero questions about his spirit animal Michael Shannon????? How is that remotely possible? And why didnt these two ever talk about Michael Shannon, there were about 5 times in the conversation they could have brought him up during their answers. I am not Happy, am kind of Sad and quite Confused.
The Bikeriders sucked plain and simple, no story, no drama, no action just a lame boring film with Jodie's annoying voice talking. She's to ordinary for the part.
Subscribe to Josh's new clips channel so you don't miss any of the best bits of his conversations! ua-cam.com/channels/5N5CzxqWoF1Far2rvRRoWg.html
Austin and Jodie are MY UA-cam rabbit hole!
This is so real!! This press tour has been so fun!
trusttttt
Same!!!
I have been on a Jodie comer obsession and now Austin too. I’m so unproductive cause all I wanna do is listen to anything they’re in😂
Same
One more video with Austin Butler and Jodie Comer and once again an amazing chemistry
I love how Josh’s interviews never sound artificial or forced, but more like a chat with friends. Austin and Jodie have been such a great partnership on the press tour and this has just become my favourite interview of theirs for Bikeriders.
this whole presstour singlehandedly made me love Austin
I believe that if you take the time to watch videos with Austin, you can't help but like him. 😍
Jodie Comer is just so stunning! Then there’s the acting talent, I can’t wait to see more of her work. Prima Facie probably being her best project!
I can listen to them talk for hours. They are so charismatic and seem to really click. Thanks for the interesting discussion, Josh.
Josh always brings out the best when he interviews, especially in Austin Butler. The Bikeriders is such a good film, so incredibly well acted. I really hope it does well.
The chemistry is unmatched!!!
These interviews are so incredible. It's hard to find conversations like this with actors. Real discussions about the craft. Thanks, Josh.
Josh is so genuine and knows how to make his guests relax and have intelligent conversations. Thank you! This is always what I'm looking for as a movie fan.
How can this have only 1k likes. They are so adorable together!
Josh is the 🐐 for mentioning The Shannara Chronicles. That’s where I first saw Austin and that show is underrated asf!
I watched it for the first time recently and really enjoyed it, I agree it's super underrated
Austin Butler, successfully, portrayed a biker who was immersed in a "need to belong to a cause" lifestyle. He and Tom showed empathy, which Austin can't hide, normally. What a joy to see some of my favorite actors, Austin, Tom and Michael. Time well spend
i love austin's voice its so calming

Felt like I was in the room w them : great questions get great responses. Thank you Josh! P.S. Bikeriders is great : go see it!!!
Josh failed to bring Michael Shannon his best friend into the dialogue and for that he get a C- on this interview. No excuse
Austin and Jodi are amazing!
Thanks to all three!
I love your podcasts!❤❤❤
such an unlikely duo but im so here for all their press looool
Great Interview Josh, they are both great people, I just hope they never change.
Josh Horowitz is my UA-cam rabbit hole
I love Jodie sm she’s so funny this duo is amazing
Thanks for an awesome interview, Josh! Your questions are always fun and insightful!
3:07 lol
Joaquin and Austin!!!!!!Can't wait
love your interview with jodie it's always so much fun
Austin talking about ALL OF US STRANGERS is my roman culture !!!
“Like Michael Jordan play basketball.”
Wow. That compliment went above and beyond. He really really admires her.
Got to say, enjoyed every minute of this

Sage and Palo Santo...she's metaphysical
31:48 The tiny little bashful "thank you" is so British-coded. We really do hate a compliment almost above all else.
and hate giving one, apparently

I'm with Jodie on Harrelson and All of us strangers! ❤
Amazing interview!

Austin you have bewitched me body and soul
He has hurt us more than he could possibly imagine.
I feel delusional, but I do think find myself thinking that Austin is slowly but surely falling in love with Jodie.
I hope he meant it when he said he wants to go back to doing theater! If he ever did Broadway again I'd SO be there!

😂 Heheh awh, Jodie being her Brit self and mentally leaving when she's being complemented
great intervieux amazing movie with 2 talented
Watching this. I just got an ad for "shrek the musical"... we already know who this ad is not for.
What a lovely interview. So much fun as always!
love the videos!
Austin giggling at the teabag comment 😂 I knowww where his mind went for a second 🤭 25:35
So good 👏🏼👏🏼
When Jodie says "Jack Nichols" and Austin comes straight in with "Jack Nicholson". Think she was confusing his name with The Bikeriders director Jeff Nichols
jodieeeeeeee!
I love that Jodie knows palo santo 🫶🏻
Jodie is playing Austin lol.
Wait. Wait. Wait. If Jeff Nichol's dad is named Jack. That would make Jeff, Jack Nichol'son.
😂
One more video
But now I need to know what her dog is really called! 😭🤣
Good movie

I dont get that all. She, unlike Jessica Chastain seems to have more respectful boundaries for her costars. Austin is into his longtime gf Kaia.
not at all, there is no "sexual" or "romantic" chemistry between them, it's just your projection
i feel like austin is just a regular on happy, sad, confused at this point 😅
1:55 is how most of us feel about Jodie 🙂↔️
Frrrrr 😭😂
Meme factory
@@vokasimid5330I’m sure someone will add it to an edit soon 😂
They so click as actor/actress! They have more of a click than the woman who played in "Elvis!! THEY AWESOME 2GETHER!! 💜

Austin always crosses his legs. Nothing wrong with that but just noticed
Something about Jodie. She reminds me a lot of Reese Witherspoon. Both acting wise and personality wise.

THE SMELL OF SAGE MAKES ME 🤮
Jodie confirmed to be Lady Deadpool! 31:00
¿¿????,,

They both were great in this movie. Great interview josh
