Makes me really appreciate Nova Scotia we have no dearth well I don’t have one my flow stated in may it will go until end of September we don’t have to feed anything now until fall time
The question is, how much honey will a pound of protein and half a bucket of feed produce. Constant micro choices, that lead to brilliance, or just spent money, without return. It's interesting to hear you think out loud, loss=gain= expense.
What has your experience been with using honey bees to pollinate canola fields? I'm sure it makes for great canola but what kind of effort do you have to go through to harvest canola honey? I have heard that you have to get to canola honey quickly or it will crystallize in the comb and make it hard to recover. Do you have any thoughts?
Hello master. I am writing from Turkey. I enjoy following your beekeeping videos. But since I don't know English, I can't understand your conversations. I request you to add Turkish subtitles to your UA-cam videos. God bless you.
I would give them the patties and a little bit of syrup. You know when they emerge they will need to make the fat stores in the body and the syrup to not slow down right now. To me it looks like it will take time for those plants to produce.. but what do I know watching from here. If l could l would switch my entire operation to those 3×6 sistem. But it's late now.. I don't have the willpower to do it. Maybe when I pension myself with 50ish colonys
Hi planning a trip from Scotland to Canada next year after watching race around the world. as well as you Manitoba looks wonderful nearer the time would you help with recommendations for hotels please and places to visit
Flea beatles ?? We had a tornado or plow wind flatten the crops near my Carrot river the canola and buckwheat iwas hoping for took a real beating . I hope it recovers or is reseeded a late crop would be a blessing 😢 Such is beekeeping and weather .🤞
Look at him smiling.. first stage, second stage and third stage. 😁 I'm so happy here l could cry. A rain passed and must be a miracle it didn't missed the spot. Right when I tought we're done for the season and summer we get a all night rain and a cloudy humid day after it. Under 30c. So lavender here we come.. and the grasses and weeds... l can only imagine the revival and the amount of flowers instead of the yellow dry ground. It must be almost a decade that I didn't get a rain like this. Hives full of bees moving out again.. work work work with fresh new queens. No way I'm letting them lay more than 7 frames before the dearth starts again. It will be 7+empty feeder +1 frame
There were a few farmers in my area of East Tennessee that tried growing canola for a couple of years. I heard they stopped because it was expensive to keep pests off the plants. It was beautiful to see!
Hi Ian, feel free to tell me to do one. But would you be interested in doing a live podcast with me. I watch your videos and see so many similarities but also so many differences with our climate and bees etc. I would love to pick your brains and I think it would help lots of people

Oh ya. The reason why I employ 7 locals
Sucks for the farmer but makes for a nice long bloom cycle for the beekeeper. 😏Blessed Days Ian...
