Hitachi had to recall all the time-machine models in 1991. I got lucky. This one beamed itself into my workshop a few years ago out of nowhere. I don't ask questions.
Great work, Robert. A similar bench was my first big welding project. I'm just wondering how flat the top is? I was disappointed to find my table bowed inward at the top when I ran a straight edge across it. One of these days I'm going to cut the top off and try again. Any tips for controlling that distortion?
Looks a tidy table, but no diagonal tape measurements on the frame. Also no flatness check on the top. How did it really turn out without a fixture table and clamps.
I did measurements on the diagonals. That’s why you see me using the ratchet straps to square it up. It really turned out great. I’ve been using it every day for however long it’s been since I made it.
Why didn't future Robert help you carry the workbench? Just kidding, it's a great video and those effects shots must have taken ages to set up. Well done.
Just be careful. Remember when This Old Tony and Clickspring got together, we wound up with AvE as President, and Abom selling Avon...of course ToT's timelathe is mechanical, and your eoniscope is electronic so maaaaybe you won't contaminate the timeline...

The irony of doing the welding in half the time using time travel, but getting help from yourself so having to do it twice :D Nice video :)
amazing video, its really a feat to make an all steel table welded that isnt crooked, i did mine with bolts to ajust to get it flat to the ground
Continue making the greatest videos on Ytube! The little timetravel age gag must have taken ages to film and cut :D
Good editing Rob. ❤
Thanks, Jason. Appreciate it!
I've often wished for a time machine like yours. None of my scopes seem to have that feature.

Came for the idea on the bench build. Subbed because of the creativity and the time phone bit. Looking forward to delving into this content
First thing you need after a decent floor, white walls and ceiling and 240V 3 phase is, indeed, a time machine.
This is a cool video
If future you just sent back the finished workbench, it would have been a whole lot easier, and cheaper.
Nice ❤

Where did you purchase the plate. I like that price
It came off of eBay. Not sure if the price has changed since I last purchased it. www.ebay.com/itm/283791592575
6:28 Man isn't it frustrating when companies don't want your business?!
Yes. I'd build so many more cool things if I could get materials locally.
I wish. My o-scope could give me that ability! 😂
I think you had to pay extra :)

I wish I'd thought to ask :). That would have been an awesome way to transition him back to the present.
