Wonderful! When I was a baby, the gentleman in the apartment below us played classical piano at the very ritzy Hotel DuPont in Wilmington, Delaware as the wealthy patrons ate their 7 course dinners. When he got home at 2 in the morning he used to blow off steam by playing an hour or two of the boogie woogie blues. My mom said I loved it and would laugh and try to dance in my crib. Neither of us got much sleep and my dad worked nights so it was okay. Literally I was brought up to love this music❤️😘 Thanks for the reminder of better days!

This music is slowly fading into the sunset! I’ve got over 5 decades of music under my belt, with each passing decade the roots of these genres of music are slowly falling silent. I go past everyday twice a day on my way to and from work and only saw him once about a 6 months ago but was before I knew of his UA-cam videos. Been looking out for him ever since! He motivated me to start learning piano at 25 from knowing absolutely nothing and since then I’ve played on this very same piano and gained a small audience myself! Will keep looking out 👍🏼

I have watched a number of Brendan's videos about showing people boogie woogie, and I am always amazed that those ladies that have never heard of boogie woogie, always get a big smile on their face when they hear it, and some even start to dance to it.

Just take the blues scale, learn some common riffs, pick up a few chords and you're good to go
