KILLED IT WITH THE COPYRIGHT!! RIGHT ON!!
God...i fkn love this guy! when you started singing bout "this song is protected by copywrite, & i dont really wanta get sued tonite" sh* t you had me laughing my ass off. 😂 i said for real? Did this dude really just lay down this smooth ass regge jam on me like imma piece of fkn toast and then bust out with hilarious ass lyrics too? Did it all casually n shit just like it was nothing....lol. F***ck man... youre talented. 👌😂😂😂🍻🍺🍻🍸🍹🍷

@@chrismai1889 sorry....i didnt realize my comment had to be PG-13...my bad. I can just delete it, if youre that offended by it....?
@@TheWizOfKeyz haha no it was not my intention to be taken seriously, I just thought it to be an absurdly fun thing to say. I really don't fucking care how you express yourself. all freedom to you :)
@@chrismai1889 hahahaa. Ahh... i see. 😁 well, shit... In that case then, ya totally fkn got me! Lmfao. good shit. Lol. I happen to be a huge fan of most things commonly referred to as "screwball," "ridiculous," "uncalled for," or "off the wall," etc...myself. Basically anything known to trigger an eye roll response in the boring ass basic anti-fun loving mfkers out there takin life (& themselves) wayy too fkn seriously... (aka the majority of the population.) Lol) A decent sense of humor seems to be pretty hard to come by these days. Unfortunately...anyways thats more than enough rambling from me i think. Take it easy bro! Cheers to you & anybody else out here who still appreciates good comedy.
✌😎
True that!
I got some additional tips, as I am a reggae keyboard player myself. For the offbeat in the right hand, people often use a piano or rhodes sound, which sounds better to my ears. If you only have an organ, that's okay as well. Right hand is more likely to be played staccato, so more like an eighth or sixteenth note. For Bubble variations you can play to two eigh notes on the offbeat instead of 16th notes before and after the offbeat or add some syncopes and hold the next note a bit longer. Nice Video mate, appreciate it.
Was gonna say the same thing about staccato, large up
Dear Strat Split: We enthusiastically look forward to your videos.
hahahah this dude is funny and talented.
A great combination! 👍
Best backup singers
Like how you get straight into the lesson .. great content very helpful thanks
For us, all your pain and trouble to make these awesome videos is a godsend. Thank you.
You're incredible! I've just started binging your channel. AMAZING 👏
I love the organ sound on The Upsetters' 'Return of Django', particularly in the track 'Live Injection'; any idea what amazing machine is responsible for that lovely tone?
Really the 'bubble' is actually just the left hand doing all the off beat semiquavers trying to sound like a conga or percussion instrument that gets your head bobbing, the right hand should play staccato chords up high in unison with the rhythm guitar 'skank' on the two and four with a different sound like piano for that classic roots reggae...

Can you use Rock Organ on Keyboard as Reggae Bubble?
What are other Keyboard styles that can be used as Reggae Bubble?
That one key sticking out is triggering my OCD 🤣...but thanks for that dude...helped me out alot
OMG ILY!! Irie! Love your quality production and onscreen personality!!
Plus you’re a heaven of a keyboardist!
@1:39 The sheet music you are showing, when input into my DAW, does not have the same rhythm as what you are playing. If I play it in manually with my midi keyboard, and get very close to the sound your producing, the timing shown in the DAW (space between notes) is not what seen on your video (sheet music you have on top of the video). What am I missing? Thanks.
your hair rocks!bless.
Thats different. Growing up in the islands and every music i heard or played was reggae. Always drum and bass first in that order. All the other melodies came after drum and bass foundation or root of the reggae beat. Its what we call the heart beat which is also from the nayahbingi drum. He did it differently but it turned out great.
you are fucking awesome man just thought you should know
So cool how i wish my instrument also included keys i only play guitars right now but aspire of course
This was really helpful as well as really entertaining. I really appreciate that they both went hand in hand. Thanks!
Subscribed just for the copyright harmony
What are the percussion & chorus settings for the 800000008 organ sound?
Nice man thanks for sharing one love ❤️
"and I don't wanna get sued tonight..."😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣
Very much appriciated man, really. Also, the rendition you made, funny!
My opinion is that organ is the best background instrument
You look more like a muslim than a reggae guy but cool tutorial nonetheless
The lyrics are too much. I'm can't. Lmao 🤣
Is it beneficial for reggae organs with rotary on?
Lmfao the copyright 😭😭💀💀💀
omg the songs lyrics lmao
Thanks for sharing your skills Michael! You're the best!
Big hands or tiny keyboard?
HAHAHAHA loved the coryright part°
ahahaha this is such a good video
Michael a lovely smile. Brilliant video thank you. Lovely spirit.
I'm your newest fan
What are playing left is hand, it seems different from chord chart. You are playing 1 n 2 n 3 n 4 n but the chart is you play only ands
I think you're counting it wrong. His right hand is playing on 2 and 4, just as written in the staff notation. Left hand is playing every upbeat (every other 8th note, all syncopated.) The bass is the only instrument playing on 1. In Reggae, the bass owns 1, everyone else keep out!
Cool man, I laughed loud while learning something useful for me. Cheers!!!
Haha you are quite funny
Wow, unexpectedly very enjoyable! Rock on, bruh!
useful Thanks
🔥🔥🔥
😄
You really explain things so simple... VERY GOOD CONTENT! Thanks.
Thank you Michael ,I saw Bob Marley 5 times with Touter on keyboard it was Stellar,,,,,
What the tune
I subscribed for the copyright part. Hats off you wonderful madlad
keep it up with these funkier genres man. You did get with your Montundo Salsa, keep exploring. You said it yourself, there are miles of material to cover with these. Reggae off-beat is so weird to settle into but once you do it just keeps up like riding a bike.
Anyone else feel the kinda phantom limb syndrome when you start since the fingering is so staccato? Like playing a baby drum.
Big Up for Tuto Bretha
great video very helpful thanks man.
loved how you got right into the material and that you and some comments mentioned variants - way toooo often this bubble is taught as if its mindlessly repetitious when actually, syncopated variants are common on real records….
Hey man I'm pretty certain that i have the same exact keyboard. What are the names of the exact patches that you think are suitable for raggae on this keyboard.
I like this dude. Helpful. I now know how to successfully bubble 😁
Michael Hartigan, you are the coolest! Thanks for this video.
I just found you and this is excellent and exactly what I needed. Thank you for being direct and succinct and perfect!
Great video pal. Thanks for the insight
Never played this stuff before , but love the way you describe dude
Aw man what happened to more videos?! This was AMAZING!

Just found your channel. If you haven't could you do a traditional ska tutorial?
You are great! So clear and informative, thank you.
Nice production on this video and I picked up a new tip for my bubble.
slower
Nice, one thing I add is a double on the chord for both hands, 16th notes- left hand and right alternating beats both playing the triad.
have you never felt that way aobut music?
Brilliant!
I WILL ABANDON UA-cam IF I HAVE TO SEE AN AD BEFORE EACH VIDEO !
Thanks man! This is so clear , funny and well done!
