I wonder if you have the 1939 Holländer from the Edition Wiener Staatsoper Live, with Manowarda and Rode.
The duet with those two basses must be terrific!
Among the treasures you posted years ago I particularly appreciated the 1941 Aida, led by Gui! Perhaps the most “complete” performance of that opera in Vienna which is preserved! Thank you!
Sorry for taking so long to answer you, but I've been very busy lately. I do have these particular fragments and will upload them under your request, though I must warn that I find Rode quite disappointing in them. Manowarda and Reichwein's conducting are exquisite, on the other hand.
@@vicmanuI saw that! Thanks again! I’ve not listened to it yet. But to me Manowarda is THE great bass in Wagner repertoire. Such a natural authoritative rendition of musical drama.
