His been in jail 22 times for exactly what his doing here. We do the same in Denmark. When you are too drunk, they throw you in a cell and let you out when you are sober.
And it´s the same in Sweden.
@Åse Nord I'll knock your pants off in pure shock. Scandinavian society looks a lot like each other. Except maybe from Sweden you guys really fucked up.
Same here in Norway. :)
@@tomkirkemo5241 yeah that we know we just watched a video of it happening lol
If they had that in England, druggies looking for a free bed and meal would just take advantage, and the policy would not work.
The police education in Norway is a bachelor degree, 3 years. So with proper education it's possible to handle drunk people like this gentleman without anybody get injured or killed. Mind you, the Norwegian police don't wear a gun as part of their day to day gear
Ikkje på Kongsberg..og jau, dei e bevæpna i operative stillingar
They have translated it badly. This guy had been arrested 22 times for being intoxicated in a public space and probably having the same or worse behaviour as he did here. it's called "fyllearrest" in Norwegian and you are released after you've slept off your drunkness // "Sovet av deg rusen" //. it is not like a normal jail. it's simply to keep yourself and others safe from harm.
Also this guy is most likely an alcoholic. There are no options for these people other than "fyllearrest", unless they are willing to go to rehab.. you can get rehab covered by the state, but it's not easy getting it and you have to prove that you have actually tried stuff to get well by yourself.
On this show they also change the persons voice most of the times. it's because we know where they are and that means people that live in that area may recognize their voice. Norway has quite a strict law when it comes to protecting peoples personal lives.
We need something like that in England. But I'm not sure we'd have enough room to put them all. They'd have to requisition a couple of football stadium to house all the Saturday night drunks.
We don't have room for everyone in Norway either. Especially in weekends they fill up the capacity rather quickly and at that point they'll just have to arrest them or send or drive them home depending on the severity of their drunken behavior. When you get orders to go home like that they give you a certain timeframe you need to stay at home to sober up and you will be arrested if you are spotted outside before the time given. @@goodyeoman4534
Should check out the other side of the Norwegian Police as well. «Norwegian Police Dramatic Car Chase» (with subtitles). That's how you handle armed robbers :)
Hes been in what is called "fyllearresten", or "The Drunk Jail" 22 times, which is just a jail ya go to if youre super drunk and agressive out in public like this dude. You get put there, out the next day, and youll have to pay a fine.
Generally speaking, in many northern European countries, police training takes years, and you have to learn de-escalation and mental welfare, plus first aid on top of the weapons training.
If this had been in the USA, the video would have looked a little different. Greetings from Norway.
It is standard practice to change People's voice to maintain their anonymity.
Jelly ain't fat, it is the same as coward in Northern Norway. The language is, well, a bit more colorful than in the south. If you call your buddy a d*mn horsec*ck it means he is accepted into your inner circle. I'm grown up as far north as you can come on mainland Europe myself
well are you truely Norwegian if you havent been called that at least once
@@maetilliin2366 Yes. Unless you are from the north ;) Normal people use proper language to speak to people. They do not talk like children with a poor vocabulary as adults. #OnlyintheNorthwhereeducationispoor
It is even better when you understand what he says😂
Those two officers are some of the best in Norway 🙂
This is from a program where they film the police doing night rounds in Norway and what they have to deal with sometimes. They have permission to film and publish various stuff. This is very early morning it seems
seems to be around 21.00
Norwegian cops basically. A lot of misuse of police powers that was recorded in this shows..
@@rowaystarco For the tv show?
@@nanach6276 yes, illegal searches, harrassment of drug users and so on. A lot of practices done by police that turned out to be illegal.
I worked temporarily for two cargo shipping agents from Bergen, they loved to have long lunches, in the afternoons they were pretty quiet! I gave them the benefit of the doubt because of the international time differences, but was always happy to leave work early! Norwegians sure know how to party! 🍺👍
Us Norwegians are usually quite with strangers. We like our personal space😂
@@sander4247 Not after long lunches! 😄
Hos voice is like that. He is pissed drunk and from the north of Norway where they speak like that😅
The ride in the car reminds me of my late Norwegian husband when he had a few too many to drink he would tell me I was driving to slow haha
Us Norwegians can be a little crazy but we arent dangerous its ok😂
1:00 They do change their voice to keep them anonymous. This video is basically how the police act here. They need a 3-year bachelor agree to become cops here.
That voice is a product of Norwegian moonshine ..
Did you notice that the cops did not wear weapons?
Because this is a few years ago. They do now…
@@MouseGuardian No, they don't.
We just had a case where the police had to arm themselves nationally, but it lasted for 2 days and then it ended.
The rule is no arms, the exception is situations that warrant heightened security.
Søk på "nasjonal bevæpning avsluttet" så ser du det, det var pga han idioten som kjørte inn i noen folk ett sted her til lands for en uke siden, ca.
@@MouseGuardian Nope.
@@MouseGuardian Only during a rised threat situation in the country, else the weapons are locked in a strongbox in their cars.
@@Haakonisak Actually police have been armed for quite some time now in Norway, some areas of the country might have been exempted from this. However, there is a recent legislation that is up for consideration now to have police armed at all times, so we might be moving towards having armed police in Norway going forward, this is due to the recent rise of higher and more frequent risk situations.
It is just so incredibly funny! 😆❤
Jelly = pudding = soft😂 im Norwegian but his dialect isnt that easy to understand😂
its funny when the doctor say we goona check youre lightbulb and youre eyes but that dident come on the text but it was fun as fck
He sounds like how I would imagine, the two old geezers from the Muppet Show sounds after 2 bottles of scotch.
He sounds exactly like an average northerner tbh
Not heart death it's brain death. 🙂
Puddin they translated to jelly. Pudding is a desert but aöllso a slang for sweetpie
Drunk-Tank
Se some police from Finland
Some northerners just are like that. (His dialect is from northern Norway). It's not really bad before they get unresponsive.
Yes he just sleeps there, not a big deal. He slept 22 times in a cell:) he is not a criminal just a drinker
Norway left violence a thousand years ago, heard about the vikings? Our ways nowadays undoubtedly seem silly to a modern US citizen
🤣
He is a harmless drung with bad words all the time :) hehe
He`s so wasted 🙄😏 well, he`s from north Norway so u can`t exspect anything else hahahaha just kidding 😁they are great people, but some of them drunk No Thanks! 😆
It's his own voice. He is from Northern Norway, so his dialect is a bit rougher than these police mens dialect. He seems to be living in a town in Southern Norway. He has probably been so drunk in public space that they had to put him in fyllearresten/drunk tank a lot of times.
No, his voice has been altered to protect his identity, the same reason why his face was pixelized
4:58 This right here is what he did to go to “jail” (it’s not really jail, it’s a type of cell they’re in until they’re sober, then they’re let go) 22 times. Acting like this, being too drunk and disorderly in public, if that’s the right term.
5:16 brain-dead not heartdead
No its not his way of calling him fat. Its his way to call him a homosexual. Pudding is a norweigan degrading slang word for homosexual. In sweden a pudding is slang for a real hot girl. But the term is rarley used nowdays.. And hes not rushing the police to take him to jail. He wants them to drive faster and overtake other cars like in an action movie.
they change the voice so people don't recognize his voice
I can't imagine how it is being a police officer in America, Where something as simple as a normal traffic stop can get you killed. I have huge respect for the men in blue in America. I know crime isn't as bad in all places, But going to work well knowing that it might be you're last day puts you on edge, Pulling people over not knowing if they will pull a gun on you. It's sad. Here in Norway we have it good. We have cases of Police brutality aswell. and I honestly don't know how it is being an officer in blue. But I think the Norwegian police versus the American police have it 10 000times easier.
Police in the USA are in 21st place among dangerous professions.
It is more dangerous to be a salesman in the USA!
Without a doubt.
You could just imagine a town with more population then whole Norway.
Thats why Norwegian "nice guy" program would never work in the USA.
pov: du er norsk
Shit, You didn't get to see the best part, When they carry his ass over to the police car laughing as hell :-P. Im Norwegian and the translation is absolutely dogshit xD
