So I'll try to simplify the trials changes for those that aren't really familiar with the mode (leaving out a lot of the smaller details): In the next episode there will be 2 passages, the "lighthouse passage" and the "trials passage". The lighthouse passage uses "open skill" matchmaking (simply put, CBMM), your goal with this passage is to get a total of 7 wins, regardless of losses. Once you have 7 wins you can go to the lighthouse to get some loot, if you happen to get a win streak during your journey to the lighthouse you will get more rewards. For those interested in adept weapons, AT MINIMUM you will have a 30% chance of getting an adept weapon from the lighthouse chest, with a 2 win streak this goes up to a 60% chance and with a 3 win streak you're guaranteed an adept from the chest. IN ADDITION to this you are rewarded for playing in a 3-person fireteam, if you get all 7 wins in a fireteam of 3 you are guaranteed an adept weapon from the lighthouse chest, this is a scaling chance so even if you only play 2 games in a 3-person fireteam you will have an extra chance at an adept. Once a lighthouse passage is completed it will change to a "completed passage" or a "flawless passage", once this happens it will start matching you based on your weekly performance (SBMM) but you can always pick up a new "lighthouse passage" to return to CBMM. Getting wins on a completed passage will give you more rewards based on your highest winstreak for that week, so it might be beneficial for you to keep your completed passage for boosted rewards. The "trials passage" can be thought of as a passage for those that don't want to get dunked on by sweats and other high skill players. When you select this passage you will be matched based on your weekly performance (weekly SBMM), so if you've been getting dunked on a lot that weekend you can pick up this passage to match against other players that have been having a rough time. On this passage you are rewarded on every win or loss and the pressure of winning isn't as high. For a win you will have a chance at a trials engram and a trials weapon, along with making progress towards a trials ghost shell. For a loss you will have a chance at a trials engram. For either a win or loss you will get a LOT of rep compared to the other passage. For a loss you will be getting 10x the amount of rep that you would currently get for a loss. This means that regardless of winning or losing you will make very fast progress on Saint's reputation and be able to focus whichever base trials weapons you want. This should make it easier for PvE mains to get the exact rolls they want from trials weapons while not being as soul crushing of an experience. This ended up being longer than I thought but I hope it at least helps someone, I don't have youtube reply notifications so sorry if I end up "ignoring" any replies, some content creators have also explained it a bit more simplistically, I personally found cammycakes' explanation quite easy to understand.
@1:14:00 completely agree with the core game play statement. I’d still rather run strikes, gambit or crucible over most of the seasonal activities. The seasonal stuff is only good for about 10 runs before I’m over it, but for some reason I can still jump into the core for hours.
Ninja Gaiden was the first handheld game I ever owned. It was blue and cost like 7 bucks and had a black and white digital screen like 4 bit or something lol.
So if you are solo, it may not be SUPER SUPER SUPER ( 1:19:46 ) rewarding for solo players. If im reading it right, you could solo to the light house with no streaks you still have 0 chance of an adept? If read this right, the SBMM/chill card is "practice pool" which is still part of the same population as everyone else. I've run into completely flawless people on their light house game in the practice pool, its VERY lite protection if you are an average skill player, like me. Bonus solo's get to go up against 2 player teams?

Because they can’t play the story from the beginning and most of the players who give Destiny a try generally like the game but, they aren’t invested like we are because… they couldn’t play the story from the beginning. So, what’s the answer Bungie? How long does the community have to spell things out for you? Personally, I’m exhausted by your abhorrent and asinine decisions and I don’t believe that you really care about the game anymore.

It's a work of fiction you knucklehead. The "black" character did exist in history. You know there is no such thing as an Animus either right ? The architecture issues were dealt with in the time extension.
