A Junk Wax Era Box Ends Up Containing Some Key 1953 Baseball/Hockey Cards

What's the old saying? Don't judge a book by its cover. When we received the latest consignment collection sent to us at AA Sports Cards, we were initially worried there was some miscommunication between us and the owner of the cards. We thought the box was going to contain cards from the 1950s, but when we opened it, we found a mountain of Pro Set, Score and Upper Deck cards from the early 90's. Fortunately, a little more digging uncovered a collection of 1953 Topps baseball cards, including Mickey Mantle, as well as Jean Beliveau's rookie card from the 1953-54 Parkhurst hockey set. As we are selling the cards for the consignor, and not trying to purchase them for ourselves, we were very happy to see some valuable cards in his shipment.
