^ This is an Amazon Associate link which one of my lovely subscribers asked me to start posting in my descriptions - if you feel like using it and buy anything through Amazon, Amazon will pay me a tiny little bit of money which all goes towards helping me pay my bills and function as a real adult :P No extra cost to you, just a little help for me so feel free to ignore it, but if you do use it at all I'm so grateful! :)
Im glad you are talking about these things. Iv mentioned it before here but i am going through cancer treatments and it annoys me *SO MUCH* when people try to tell me about spiritual healing, or that i just need to try "garlic oil" or some such. And it bothers me for two reasons; firstly because they have NO idea about what is and is not medicine, but mostly because its like you are slagging off my doctors. Slagging off the actual medicine that i take.
Those doctors are what are keeping me alive. Not garlic oil or spirit orbs. And if you *can* heal cancer with triangles then you are a monster if you are sitting at home writing a book instead of parking your ass on a stool at the entrance of St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
Andrew I get what you mean. I'm autistic and I would never want any drugs for it but evidence-based medication. It really bugs me when there are snake-oil salesmen trying to "treat" autistic children, while only making it worse
So when my kidneys were shutting down and i was coughing up a cup of blood every day... all i needed was happy thoughts? It was not the chemo that saved my life and shrunk my tumors? It was not the surgeons that removed my masses, my damaged kidney, and the infected parts of my liver?
Don't take this the wrong way, but kindly fuck off.
Im not afraid of dying either. But i also want to live as long as i can. And i would be dead and buried in the ground a year ago (and one month) if it were not for these "gurus" and their medicine.
Andrew Only people who have been through what you have can say anything with out sounding insulting. I didn't have cancer, but I've been in the verge of death as well and after months in the hospital and treatment from caring Doctors and Nurses I survived. I certainly don't believe that it's all physical and that's that, but I understand and agree with your appreciation for the so called "gurus". They played their part in prolonging your life and deserve the respect they are due. Don't forget that you fought the battle too and deserve as much of the credit as they did. You also had faith to follow the instructions of the Doctor's and taking the medicine and suffering through it (I know it's a horrible disease... my wife's battling it now). You probably also had the love and care of others like family or friends or just people who cared enough to say kind words to you that kept you going.
There is so much more than just taking medicine and prolonging your life and say what ever you care to, but after these experiences most people do learn to appreciate life and what a gift it is to have it. Keep living as if each day is our last... it's the only life worth living.
beliefless dogmasless Wasn't really talking to you anyways.
I didnt believe in spiritual healing before i watched this video, but now i believe this video IS spiritual healing.
Holy crap. That's some serious bookmarkng. You know that book's getting ripped apart.
Richard Dawkins did a two part documentary on this stuff:
Enemies of Reason (1/2) - Slaves to Superstition
Enemies of Reason (2/2) - The Irrational Health Service

Absolutely agree... We're not transferring some mystical, unquantifiable energy. We transfer actual energy, which physicists typically measure in Joules.
It's chemical information storage so what has magnetism to do with it?
_"What does DNA being able to store vast amounts of information mean?"_
Scientifically, it means DNA can store vast amounts of information.
_"How can the explanation for information transfer in DNA be right when it does not take into account the laws of magnetism?"_
I honestly don't understand this question.
_"How did the Big Bang create a biological hard drive that is vastly superior to any electronic storage device man can make?"_
This question is loaded with the presumption that DNA was created by the Big Bang. When a cloud contracts and becomes more dense, does that mean the cloud is the creator of rain?
I'm not suggesting that DNA wasn't created. It may have been created by a superior alien life form, given the amount of time passed since the Big Bang. I think it would be rather retarded to think that humans are the most advanced life form alive in the universe.
Your claim that DNA is "vastly superior to any electronic storage device man can make" appears to suggest than man will never make a better storage medium than DNA. Will I have to wait for infinity until I find out if you're correct?
Yaniv Erlich and Dina Zielinski have already utilised DNA to store large quantities of data, although they weren't both men as one was a woman. He must have forgot to kill her.
_"Theoretically, DNA lasts forever."_
Wikipedia: "DNA can be damaged by many sorts of mutagens, which change the DNA sequence. Mutagens include oxidizing agents, alkylating agents and also high-energy electromagnetic radiation such as ultraviolet light and X-rays."
So, theoretically, all DNA on Earth can be destroyed - which is exactly what will happen once I have colonised another galaxy.
Sexual Healing > Spiritual Healing
+VampCoffee LMAO
I have the song stuck in my head now
*"Can you remember being hugged, or the hurt area being rubbed and kissed?"*
Yes. And since my mother was a qualified nurse, it was usually followed by her cleaning/disinfecting the wound (which often caused it to hurt more for a short time), and then covering it with a sterile dressing. This was usually a plaster, since I rarely suffered anything serious, but she *did* take me to hospital for a more thorough check-up on more than one occasion (most notably, after I broke my collarbone).
A lot of symptoms like fever, chills, nausea, fatigue, ect. are really immune defenses. So getting sick is good for your health.
Rachel, absolutely love your vids, this is another example of where 'reason' and 'logic' with no observation can lead the credulous. Keep fighting the good fight.
By the way, I keep meaning to tell you how happy I am to see a young Atheist woman joining the ranks of the Atheist youtube community. Keep making your videos. I wish I'd had access to channels like yours when I was much, much younger, and I'm enjoying your videos very much.
Loved the video. I actually do consider myself a "spiritual" person, but I recognise that it's entirely psychological and use it simply to help with emotional health. I have a really bad anxiety disorder, and I have found that medicine alone doesn't help me. However, I happened to stumble upon some Buddhist practices and they actually really do help and make me happier. Like I said I recognise it's completely psychological, but as long as there's no science denial involved it can help quite a bit.
Rachel, you're incredibly polite, and very intelligent. Just for the sake of curiosity, do you ever get boiling, 'colorful metaphor,' angry?
The book you're reading sounds more like misdirection for the purpose of manipulation. I'm sticking with doctors, and reliable science. I know they have a proven track record.
Oh yeah, I've been known to get angry at times :P But it tends to be more over personal things, so if someone's done something to hurt my friend's or family that's when I tend to have the strongest reactions.
A New Ager once told me that as a youtuber gains more subscribers, their puppy vibration becomes stronger and they'll have a higher chance to get a puppy.
The intellect is the greatest barrier to emotional healing which ironically is the greatest thing that stands to gain from emotional healing.
Granted if you are look for repeatable results, science is definitely the way to go.
Hi Rachel. If this is you uninspired, then I'm amazed. This one hit close to home because my wife is ill and I think it's human nature to try to place blame on someone or something. She is fighting cancer and according to the Doctor's she's seen she should have died more than six months ago (first diagnosed about a year ago and some of her Doctors said she had 2 months left and others said she had 6 months left). The part that I can relate about your video is the part that people have actually blamed her for getting sick by saying she's a person who harbors negative feelings by not forgiving others... ironically enough that comments came from one of the least forgiving person I've met. I'm glad my wife ignores those comments and we talk a lot about it, but this can make a person who is going through the most likely worst part of their lives feel even worst than they already are... if that's possible. We should learn to empathize with people going through illness and think of their wellness at least while they're going through it.
Quick question... why do you think placebo medicine sometimes work? I think most things we experience can manifest physically and most can be fixed physically, but there are things at work that aren't physical and do bring benefits or ills into our lives. What's your take on that?
As for ideas for new videos, I've made a few suggestions in past videos but you probably didn't see them or maybe didn't like them? I'm not judging because I know you have a life outside of UA-cam... I still owe you some replies myself, but I have a full time job, a 7 year old who is my joy and my soul mate who I love dearly going through this horrible nightmare right now, so I hope I get a pass.
Keep up the good work and if you feel uninspired again feel free to ramble like today... we're all human after all right?
I do believe that our emotional health and physical health have some links, but I do also realize that there is not always direct correlation.
It's interesting how similar that "New Age" book is to Christian healing practices-mostly just a difference in jargon and a call upon a different higher power.
And now I know where the "laying on of hands" in the New Testament has its roots. Right back to Hippocrates!
"HEALTH IS NOT A THING"
How does magic fix an HIV or cancer diagnosis?
The most important thing, even pointed out by prominent atheists like Matt Dillahunty, Sam Harris and others, is that no one really explains what they mean when they talk about spirituality.
All they give is personal testimonies or "feelings" that they have when they go through experiences that they can't seem to comprehend.
If I'm correct, we have in this age pretty much nailed down everything related to the human body, physiology etc.
The advances we've made are so much better than whatever existed during medieval ages; and there's a lot more research going on.
It's really disappointing to see people like the author of that book take advantage of others by weaving convoluted arguments and absurd claims;
and in worst cases ripping them of their money by offering "alternative" methods of treatment.
There is a difference between spiritual healing and healing the "spirit." One can't healing spiritually but it is possible to heal one's "spirit," in the sense of the spirit being a person's will or drive.
beliefless dogmasless I didn't mean spirit as in the soul. I meant spirit, as I said, in the sense of one's will or drive. I.e. A spirited individual. In that sense you can heal your spirit, or regain your will or drive.
I used to think it was difficult to get something published because you have to do so much research and make sure everything you say is correct. . . . then there are books like that. This is the kind of healing they are good for: I am no longer convinced it can possibly be that hard to publish a book.
Publishers only ask one question: "will this sell?" Unfortunately, bullshit sells very, very well.
So well said Rachel, there's so much mumbo-jumbo, yet no one calls it out!
When walking past my local Chinese alternative medicine centre, I took a double take and then a giggle at a sign saying "bellybutton healing". There are some great books to read about this latest bunch of fads :
How Mumbo Jumbo Conquered the World
Flat Earth News
Bad Science.
I'd recommend them to anyone who gets exasperated with so much idiocy floating around
Deductive reasoning.....Yes, of course I've heard of the placebo effect, don't be so patronising.
The placebo effect has been extensively explored in very fair minded way, in Ben Goldacre's "Bad Science", so I won't bother quote mining from there, I just recommend that you read it. In the rest of the book he debunks for example, those who push certain treatments (at a price!) which they claim have a certain effect, but they have never been able to prove to be true. People need to be on the lookout for the latest bit of pseudo science.
hi rachel!! can i get a heart from you please? it would make my day 😊
The Greek philosopher quote made me think of magic. Magic can be used to heal people, but pretty much everyone who uses it will tell 𝒀𝒐𝒖 to STILL go to the doctor anyway. Anyone who uses magic will tell 𝒀𝒐𝒖 there’s a mundane solution for most things and you should always find mundane solutions/causes FIRST. Have a headache for days on end? There’s probably a spell for that, but you should see the doctor first to make sure it’s not cancer or something.
You are my favorite skeptic on UA-cam because you're so relatable, fair, and brilliant. I started watching your vids one by one in the last couple weeks. 🙂 They are so thought provoking and I really appreciate your scientific views. Even if I don't understand the explanations fully, you make me want to learn more! I like that you include books, links, etc.
Since becoming Atheist, I find myself more and more interested in science and find myself constantly questioning everything! It feels like a whole new world has opened up to me.
I'm currently working with someone who insists she's an "empath". (She's also a Seventh Day Adventist. Lol). Anyway, I've researched it some online. Might be a good video. Would like to hear your take on it.
Thanks Rachel! 😊
I would definitely feel lost too if I took that book seriously. I have seen way too many people think they will get better through spirituality, crystals or 'enter crazy idea here' only for that idea to not work and then get worse and die or almost die before going to a doctor to be healed.
This book should be called: "How to fuse problems in modern western medicine with estern traditional medicine and metaphysical concepts to create a pseudoscience."
I was walking through the park the other day and saw somebody in a wheelchair and somebody "healing" them. It made my blood boil, I wanted to confront the "healer" the only reason I didn't is because of the person being healed. I just wanted to throw a few facts at her and see if she could squirm out of it with some ridiculous word salad.
Rachel, have you yet to torture yourself with watching God's Not Dead or it's sequel? (There's also going to be a third....)
There's going to be a 3rd one? Eventually they will have more sequels than Die Hard. God's Not Dead 3: God Dies Hard.
I think it's more comparable to those slasher horror films, where the villain keeps coming back for a sequel. I would actually totally watch Freddy vs. Jason vs. Jesus.
Andrew Snarls No one should subject themselves to that, i was so disappointed by that movie as a Christian. The straw man atheist and crap arguments for God just failed.
The advertisement for this video is a workshop for healing yourself with your mind. The speaker claims she healed herself of her MS with her mind.
you can still grow up in the US without learning critical thinking or the scientific process; she is approaching medicine with a premodern sensibility, combined I would say with a modern focus on the self and its ultimate significance..
Don't feel too lost for too long, you might lose an appendage
Nice review! I think you give the author much more credit than they deserve.
Sounds a lot like the homeopathic version of touch healing.
No, stop, listen, it's not crazy if you think about how homeopathy compares to reality. The big problem with homeopathy is that it doesn't understand how dilution works, right? Why? Because they think diluting something makes it _more_ somehow. In reality, diluting something means that in the same sip of water you're taking in less of the active substance (ignore for a moment homeopathy doesn't even have active substances). So if you drop 10g in 1 unit of water you get a concentration of 10g/unit and if you drink the entire unit of water you get a 10g dose. If you drop 10g in 10 units of water, you get a concentration of 1g/unit and if you drink the entire 10 units of water you get a 10g dose too, but if you only drink one unit of the mix you get a 1g dose. Theoretically. Depends on how homogeneous it is. If you've ever given your kids liquid antibiotics for an earache you have an idea of how that works. If you have the bottle, look at it, you'll see what I mean.
So how does this compare? Disease transmitted by touch. Disease isn't some mystical _force_ being passed on through physical contact. If we're talking about an infection, you'e smearing bacteria on the other person who then spreads that bacteria into themselves. Because bacteria is on *everything.* It's pretty gross. So homeopathy thinks _illness_ is caused by a substance affecting your body, and the only solution is to divide the dose into a smaller concentration because that magically _inverts_ the substance somehow, right? Wrong but that's how they think it works. They suck at math more than I do.
So these touch healing idiots are doing the same thing. *Bad touch = makeyousick,* cure is *good touch = 1/makeyousick* . Both homeopathy and this nonsense think there's something magical about the process they're using. In reality when you touch someone, if you aren't spreading bacteria to them, you aren't spreading makeyouhealthierteria to them either, just like with homeopathy you're not actually giving the other person anything.
There is spiritual healing, it is a thing and very helpful for some things, but it depends what you're trying to heal or cure. I do agree with the book that spiritual healing can assist with healing physical or mental ailments. We can blame ourselves for some illnesses. Just because it's new age doesn't mean it isn't valid. The reason things have been done for many decades is because they have worked. We have much more complex health issues though today than we used to.
That top looks great on you.
Congrats on joining the Great Debate Community stream. :)
I had a lot of abuse in the past and my friends from church pretty much said my depression and anxiety could be cured by prayer. Bull. This was the same church that kept trying to get me to go back to my abusive husband, and told me I could never remarry because the Bible says the only way to get out of the horrible situation in my marriage would be if my husband died.
I'm so sorry you had to go through that, hope you're in a better situation now :)
I believe in spiritual healing, 100% no question in mind that it works. However, I almost died laughing at some of things that this book came out with.
if spiritual healing works (beyond mere placebo effect), how come it has never been demonstrated in scientific manner, such as via random controlled trials?
Because as implied by it's name it does require spiritual belief. Why should a god be moved to act for a non believer? But more specifically, prove the placebo is in itself not a form of magic. On top of that, in relation to heathen practices, and magical healing in general, a lot of people have this belief that it must be supernatural, and exist in manner greater than nature. However, assuming these things exist, they are bound by the natural laws of the world/universe which means that only what is possible, is possible. I will never have unassisted flight, gravity, and the density of air to my own density prevents that. When willow bark tea was used in what is now considered magical situations to "heal" fevers and headaches and such, and later they "discovered" aspirin (it could have been acetaminophen, I can't remember off the top of my head) they said, "See this proves this does not work." When all it did is prove WHY it worked. As she said, massage for instance is used to treat various issues, since society NOW looks at magic as something that must be greater than nature, they say that it has nothing to do with each other. But at one time, magic didn't exist, it was the science of their time.
Most importantly though? The state of one's spiritual self (where spiritual healing would take an effect in the first place.) has NOTHING to do with someone's emotional or physical selves. You can quite literally have no spiritual self, and be happy and healthy. They work on different "planes" (for lack of a better word right this second.) And anyone who tries to connect the two is a fool. If there is something wrong with the physical self, then it takes something from the physical world to resolve. Each self works in tandem with each other self, but they don't directly interact. You can't happy the cancer away, however if you refuse to be anything but miserable and just lie there in your sickness when you have cancer you will most likely not survive, or at least not as easily survive. Just as your selves must work together, you must work the world's different types in tandem Get emotional support, get physical help (whether "mundane" or "magical" so long as it is effective.) and keep your head together these are important for one's health and happiness in our world. Spiritual concerns are the least important, and only matter to those who feel the call or need to pursue them. The natural laws outweighs the hopes of the people.
Note to Alex Marques and other long posters, be concise or forget it,
most people can't be bothered reading long posts.
If I'm asked a question that requires a long reply I will give one. If people are not bothered to read them. What do I care? This is youtube, not a major publication. 99.9% of the people on this site will never even read my username let alone any of the posts I make.
Are you sure that the book is not a reprint of a medieval alchemy manual?
If I were to listen to this book, I'd believe my hip problem was caused by my brain and focus on working with completely natural stress- and miss out on the fact that one leg is shorter than the other and that's why my hip hurts.
Oh. And why does the cover of that book look like a cookbook 😳
Hi Rachel, good content on this, even though you said you were rambling!
You asked about suggestions for future topics. This would be a biggie, but if you get around to looking at Thomistic arguments for the existence of God, I'd be interested in what you think about modern Thomists' claim that Aristotelian-scholastic metaphysics is the best there is, even though they admit that Aristotle's science is long since superseded. They think they can successfully inoculate Aristotelian/scholastic metaphysics against contamination from faulty Aristotelian science. This leaves them confidently arguing about necessary vs. contingent existence and natural law, as though religious doctrines and teachings are just the teachings that any right thinking person would come up with. They don't allow that the limitations of 13th-century science might critically limit their philosophical conclusions, which come out of a 13th-century system of thinking.
This might all be too abstract to be a useful area of investigation. I raise it, though, because many of the things you say in your videos are vehemently opposed by people who think that 13th-century metaphysics provide a better framework for reasoning than more scientifically-influenced frameworks. And these people push for laws to be made consistent with their system.
Hey David, thanks for the suggestion! :) I'll be honest and say physics isn't my stong point so I might not be the best person to talk about this, but I'll definitely do a bit of research into it and see what my thoughts are :)
Physics not my strong point either! A while ago someone said you should address thoughts of the top Christian apologists. I think Edward Feser stands above Wm. Lane Craig. In "The Last Superstition," Feser tries to save scholastic metaphysics by the move I mention above, that it's totally the best metaphysics even if we can jettison the Aristotelian physics on which it was historically based.
In your video today, you talk about scientists searching for causes. I was hearing Feser in my mind triumphantly declaring that, see, scientists have to have a metaphysics with a robust notion of causes, like Thomistic metaphysics.
Oh well, this stuff gets deep really fast, so I shall say no more. I appreciate the scientific things you bring into your videos.
your makeup looks soooo good with that shirt. where did you get it??? (the shirt) 😍 lolol
♥♥♥ Thank you so much!! It's from H&M :) And the eye makeup is all from Makeup Revolution's Flawless Matte pallette (in case you were interested...) :)
Just because there are problems with air planes it doesn't mean that magic carpets are the solution.
Rachel. Great job in the chat today! I think my sister has that stupid book.
I've never come across spirituality that isn't woo.
Why is this still not illegal yet...
thanks 😁
god tier sweater
Ironically I got an ad on essential
oils and how to heal spiritually lmao😂😂😂😂
I can get behind the “four parts” of the person and I do believe everything is connected. But my first impression is that it’s a little New Agey
Let us not; it's junk. But wow, all those tags: does each colour have any kind of meaning or do you just like bright colours?
This book seems to suggest mental and physical well-being are both linked to spirituality. And that those who don't live a good life will suffer. It just throws hundreds of years' worth of biological and psychological studies out the window. It's how you treat your body, a biological entity that counts, not how spiritually aware your are.
I thought you meant the Death album lol
Jim Paraster i thought i was the only one
I swear to Charles Darwin you deserve 1000000 subscribers because you are smart , intellectual and cute !
LOOOOL ... the advertising in front of this video was ... *drumroll* ...for some kind of "alternative" healing method. :D
Book: S p i r i t u a l H e a l i n g
Rachel: I GUESS?!?!
The big problem I have with these New Age people is that they give energy the properties of a human mind. Energy is intelligent, moral, sometimes positive, sometimes negative. In other words, every whiff of energy is, in fact, a human (or maybe godlike) intelligent being.
Why does the energy of a mother's hand caressing the child's wounded knee heal, instead of hurt? Does the mother know where some additional energy will heal, instead of further hurting the knee? Of course the mother knows nothing about correct placement of energy, so the energy itself has to have the knowledge of healing, and have an interest in healing knees.
Much like psychics, spirituality is cold reading marketed as "what the mainstream won't tell you," which uses your anger towards paranoia.
Whichever way you look at it, it's bollocks.
11:00 We get ill for a reason??? You have no idea how much I DESPISE people that say such horrible things!! Imagine your child dies or you’ve been diagnosed with cancer or a hurricane destroyes everything you own and you have no money left and no roof above your head and then someone comes to you and says: “That happens for a reason.” or “That’s your own foult because of your bad karma.” or “God wanted it that way.” To be honest; If someone said such thing to me in that situation, I would beat the shit out of this person! I would probably be so mad, that I would grab the nearest objekt and would start hit this person. Normally, I’m not an aggressive person, but comments like this make me mad! What a horrible thing to say!!
E=mc2 makes these arguments even worse, the idea that matter is literally made of energy, not to mention the entire quantum physics perception changing the state of quantum mechanics. Could there be something? Show me a proper, double-blind study with a very large sample size and I'll consider it.
Enjoying from New Helvetia Brewing Company their Homeland Stout. You tell me why alcohol had to be in a working man's life. Really. Tell me if you care to be honest.
I love that shirt girl
Sadhguru a spiritual guru with a huge organization is teaching woowo technique, they are challenging people like you to try their breathing technology and body work. He has conned 9 million people to volunteer for him, can you try and expose his book inner engineering. That would be a great service to many people!
Be careful. Remember the atheist who got sued for mocking a spiritual healer?
My view on spiritual healing. Pray, go to church, meditate any of those things if they give you comfort but GO TO THE DAMNED DOCTOR AND FOLLOW THE TREATMENT. Attitude and emotional well being are an important part of real healing AND DOCTORS KNOW THAT. Prayer helps many with those things do it can be good but trusting it to the expense of scientific medicine is a BAD Idea.
You are far too forgiving. We don't get credit at school and university for vague, technically correct answers. Books should not be treated any differently.
Healing with Sound- 1-900-WE-HEAL-U
I was thinking of another kinda healing......humina humina humina...... :p
So I guess she doesn't believe in placebo because feelings and emotions don't matter.
Oh, god, you're bending the cover backward! Don't do th--wait, it's a shite book. Carry on, then. Have a good day, miss.
whats about not healthy born babys? is that their fault too? oh, I hate that ...
I wish to have the lack of ethics and moral these writers/speaker have. I could write soo much shit and get money for it... but no! I have to have this dumb conscience that tell me I shouldnt do it, even if I could finally get enough money to come out of this shitty life.
Also, watch spirit science videos and get a good laugh/cringe.
And my health went south when I became celibate. Thank goodness I discovered rub-and-tugs. A man always needs the touch, therefore the energy, from and with a woman. Women can keep a man alive or the woman can kill a man just by simple physical negligence.
That is not medical, but it is scientific reality... and unfortunately women know that and are all too happy all to often to allow it to happen to the man that is loving her... because women can be not so much nice or decent people when it come to relationships with men... as in, women can be quite evil.
I'd like to see spiritual "healers" take on rabies.
You guys just think it's hip and edgy to not have any spiritual beliefs. You only traded one belief system for another. Try another spin on the wheel of beliefs. Collectivism plays a huge role, the collective atheists all agree on the same basic ideology. It practically is a sub-religion. You only believe in science and facts right? So scientists are your version of a preacher right? You trust science and what a scientists usually claims and rarely refute the hypocrisy of some of it. I'm not saying science is wrong always, I love science too but science is also fundamentally flawed by this collective atheist belief system. Even if science is wrong in many ways your beliefs may adhere you to some specific notion. Like evolution for example, there's many factors which could weigh in on how distinctive creatures came about. The Evidence is what matters right? What if evidence of a conflicting sort happens to make it into your hypothesis would you disregard it then? Would you refute evolution based on this new evidence? Chances are NO you would most likely explain it away, lock it away and call it an anomaly and so on. Science is this authority that dictates a world view in most cases. There's plenty of conflicting evidence which points out how evolution just didn't explain the whole picture but lets just ignore those facts because it doesn't co-inside with the narrative. What about quantum mechanics? Some scientists don't even believe in quantum mechanics, like your relativist hawking argues quite frequently with physicists. It's almost like atheists just don't want to be wrong so they don't join in any other belief systems. The challenge is over, god isn't real. But let's keep trying to prove how we are correct on our end. Hahahahahaha
Yeah that's it, its just people being edgy when they don't believe in things that have no evidence. Man, you figured it all out. You are a genius, really.
So you have strong evidence to contradict the Darwinian theory of evolution? Please enlighten us "collectivist atheists" with these facts. And while you're at it, I strongly recommend publishing these findings in a peer-reviewed journal. Also, you say we listen to what scientists claim which is quite inaccurate for a lot of people. We don't tend to care about claims but rather what can be proven or disproved. Evolution is falsifiable. Find the pre-cambrian rabbit fossils and you'll poke a major hole in it.
+Snow Scream That was an _excellent_ example of a whole paragraph worth of you answering your own questions. You seem to know everything about us, narcissist. Knock it off with the self-confirming thought experiment.
Atheism in a nutshell:
You: "God is real"
Me: "Show me proof."
You: "I can't."
Me: "Then I don't believe you."
atheism is simply the lack of belief in any god(s)...it is the farthest thing from a "belief system". EVERY atheist is different. wether or not an individual atheist cares about science is on them. some atheists don't know dick about shit when it comes to science, but that still doesn't affect wether or not they believe in god. some people are physically and mentally not capable of believing in "god". regardless of science.
science isn't something that can be "believed" in..science is fact. it is KNOWN, and anyone who denies undeniable, empirical scientific evidence is a god damn imbecile.
Saying in a large amount of words what is technically true, but practically meaningless. They should call this intersectional feminism.
Before anyone jumps down my throat I think feminism is mostly a good thing. I just think the intersectional kind doesn't say nearly as much as it thinks it dose.
Hi Eddie. Would you explain more what you mean by this intersectional business and why you think it fails?
I sort believe in spirtualy not religious but the other kind
i am a spiritual person and it angers me how much bullshit is written there and how much bullshit people hear from people like the author. it makes us all look like retards and insane...
Oh, baby now let's get down tonight
Ooh baby, let's get down tonight
Baby
Baby let's get down tonight
Ooh
Baby, I'm hot just like an oven
Ooh
Baby now let's get down tonight
Baby, I'm hot just like an oven
I need some lovin'
And baby, I can't hold it much longer
It's getting stronger and stronger
And when I get that feeling
I want sexual healing
Sexual healing, oh baby
Makes me feel so fine
Helps to relieve my mind
Sexual healing baby, is good for me
Sexual healing is something that's good for me
