Just using quick snaps is all I do. They don't affect lure balance or action and I can change a lure in below freezing temps in about 5 seconds. That's just me. I don't see a need for the sleeves. I'd think it would also chafe the line where the reel seats in against the sleeve?
2" PVC been using that for years , your right it's the only way to keep your rods safe from being broke and ready with the hooks on it .
I'd have expected PVC to shatter from any minor hit at subarctic temperatures. Thanks for the tip.
Its nice to see you have this finger out lol I just use PVC pipe to make my own after seeing this thats so much thay are great
great tip; thanks so much
Thats a good idea !
could get the same effect with 2" pvc tubes
Huh. For once an actually useful gimmick. That's refreshing.
I would contend that changing bait on a snap swivel on 2 rods is easier than carrying 5 different rods. But what do i know.
Two perch rods, two walleye rods, and maybe a heavy action rod in case we go for lakers ;)

35$ for 6 of them. Not that expensive. Probably would cost more in materials and time to make it yourself.
Where did you buy your duffle bag? What brand?
Looks like just a PVC pipe with a slot cut and a rubber brand. Why buy them? Just make them yourself
its called thin walled pvc pipe save yourself diy
