Thanks for the comment. I've been doing this for 8 years now, and I like trying new things to keep learning new techniques to see what could work better.
yes, drill into the green rye then roll it and/or spray right after planting. How did the beans do that late in the summer? Did deer leave the alone enough to grow?
I've watched all his food plot videos on the buffalo system. I really think he has it figured out... Good job on the "poor mans" version of it ha. I wondered how a cultipacker would do as a crimper, it worked better then I thought it would honestly. My only problem is a grain drill... I cant find anywhere to rent one at all and don't know anyone that has one to borrow. I guess I'm gonna save my money up and get one eventually. Watching his channel makes me never want to disk again... How'd the soy beans do?
Thanks for the comments. Yes the cultipacker worked even better than I thought. The key was running over the rye twice. Beans didn't do too well. Several issues, some farmer related (planted them too deep), and some mother nature related (drought conditions for several weeks and an over abundance of deer). I will say the Eagle beans work great if you can get them established. Once they came up, they never did die, even thought the deer only let them grow to about 3 inches tall. Good luck
Please let me know what you found interesting? What should I have done differently (besides planting beans earlier)? What would you like to see in next video?
Good info and well done video without annoying music etc.. Thanks for posting!
Thanks for sharing real world food plotting.

Enjoyed the video! Did you try rolling cover crop and planting beans again this year?
