Has it actually been confirmed Scott isn’t on H&G? I’d been looking forward to another collab, a mastodon album without Scott Kelly just won’t feel right these days.

He grew up in an abusive home and left home early and lived on the streets of Oakland and struggled with lots of demons Not that this is an excuse for his own abuse of his family, I just hope he and his family find a way to heal and that he learns how to love better.
Gotta show love to the innovators. I believe metal's inclusion and recognition of those who paved the way is one of the reasons we don't see so many of them suing each other like we've been seeing lately with other (admittedly more lucrative) genres.

For some reason i went to see Fall out Boy with a friend. It was very odd, about 3/4 of the way through two guys in hoodies came out playing stand up drums and i thought to myself this really sounds like Neurosis, Goggled about it when i got in and found out the drummer and bass player love Neurosis. Hopefully it gets more record sales for Neurosis

Cracks the Skye was the greatest Mastodon album and I won't compare it to other endless records but I wish Mastodon tried to create another huge spirit driven album like that.
I consider that album to be like Rush' Hemispheres album, they'll never be able to release another epic like Crack the Skye, they just can't go there anymore, their sounds changed, just like Rush after Hemispheres.
