Crazy right? On of my big take aways from Khan's book is that every epidemic comes down to two things: 1) improper hand hygiene 2) an "X" factor. We still don't know what the X factor is for the novel corona virus. I suspect it's "super spreaders" - asymptomatic folks spreading the disease. What do you think?
@@RockTheRegistry There is so much going on with this virus, it is out of my scope to really even speculate. It hides in some people and attacks everything from the respiratory system to the nervous system. If I have to guess, like you said, we are making super bugs. I think it has taken advantage of everything that makes us human (and American). We are over social - we can't isolate or quarantine. We touch everything. We are overdependent on antimicrobials and hand sanitizers (weakening our innate immunity) and a sickening and growing population does not rely on medical and scientific information. The virus is evolving. Humans are not.
@@desireeleonard6251 I have thought many of the same things. There is a considerable amount of superstition and impoliteness in society today. In trying times, we must daily consecrate our lives to what truly matters.
Wow. Found this tonight, and what a difference a year makes. The next pandemic indeed.
