If that safety person was so concerned about you tying off, why didn't she say something while you weren't tied off? Instead of waiting till you were finished connecting? What a joke. Sometimes you got to do what you can to get the job done.

Much respect to all trades no matter what you do!! its hard work! Im
more of a rat (non union) lol i work where the money is good for the
time being i dont join a union or stick to a trade... but ive met alota
great union guys working in shipyards (pipe fitting), doing papermill
shutdowns, tank building and other industrial work.. the only trade i
can say i dont like was doing electrical mind numbing brainless work!!
unless you get to terminate. Trades are a good choice for someone who
doesnt mind working a ton of hours!! Anyone can easily find work and get
a chance. myself i havent even finish high school and i did MANY jobs
and when i got tired of one i could easily quit one and find another
whenever i was ready. Shipyards are an easy place to start! and they
will get you certs like osha 10 and 30 which will help secure other jobs
as well!! like i said i dont even have a high school diploma and i wont
even take a job where im not making at least 1500 a week!!! I just
finished a job doing a shutdown just doing cable pulls and conduits for a
month i was taking home 2600 a week thats including my perdiem though,
they even got me an apprentice electrician license for my state! im
taking a break a few months now and then ill be heading to florida to
    head to a shipyard

    • @anthonycucinotti9705

Will - The bolt facing the other way is done so purposely. It is a safety for making doubles. Look at the clips as the beam comes in and you will see the staggered pattern. If you know that-being a big bad iron hanging guy- and thought he should have spun it around, comment on how you would have done that. Teleport through the decking? Go go gadget arm reach under the beam? All of those connections will be stuffed off of a step ladder. Period. Don’t act like you have a clue, you obviously don’t.
