While I normally love anything by DK this one is a major loss for me. This guy is a former reporter???? What did he report ? Weather? Gardens? Births? He has men watching him, women watching him, finds a tracking device, is shot at but he is still clueless!!!!!!!! He calls people then suspects them But he keeps calling different folks. Things get repeated over and over ad nauseam. A little retrospection is ok but not a repeating record. Four hours into this and I give up. I do like the story line- but 12 hours worth???
@maryhilton I fully agree with your critique of this book. It was filled with repetitive descriptions and phrases. The story was also overwhelmingly stuffed with descriptions that added nothing to the story but annoyingly slowed down the story. I was able to fast forward and miss nothing of value. This book is so unlike Mr. Koontz writing style. It makes me wonder if a ghost writer is working for Mr. Koontz and penned this book. If the excessive descriptions were removed this book would be a short story and the better for it.
I listened to it during my lunch break. Thank you for bringing a meaningful book.
nice
You get a 12 hour lunch break?
