- Hogwarts Legacy gave us a full reveal of the Ravenclaw Common Room in glorious 4K footage after the Back to Hogwarts Presentation. The new trailers released actually showed quite a bit more than what was in the main presentation.

Official Details
Hogwarts Legacy is an immersive, open-world action RPG set in the world first introduced in the Harry Potter books. For the first time, experience Hogwarts in the 1800s. Your character is a student who holds the key to an ancient secret that threatens to tear the wizarding world apart. That chest reminds me of the one Mad Eye was trapped in so I feel like the chest will be an overflow supply box for anything that exceeds our inventory.

As a Ravenclaw, I am extremely excited to walk around this common room in game.
This was my favorite common room. Everything just looks so incredible.
The Hufflepuff common room is my favorite, but Ravenclaw is a close second. They would be tied if the entrance to Hufflepuff's common rooms wasn't so much better.

We already got a glimpse of different weather in the game. I wonder if the Common Rooms will change based on the holidays? Would love to see all of Hogwarts done up during Christmas time.
The one little detail that made me extremely happy to see, was the drawing desk with the owlery picture.
Because everyone (of course) thinks Ravenclaw is all about knowledge and smart people.
BUT this house is about creativity too 😄👍 and this one desk showed that 💙🤎
Great tour, thanks! As a Ravenclaw, I LOVE it. As you say, it’s clearly been made for Ravenclaws. It looks like a library, observatory and just a general calm and tranquil area for learning. Also I love the true-to-the-books blue and bronze. Also, the blue and white colour palette for some of the higher aspects of the room remind me of the sky and clouds where an eagle might fly. Love it all. Thanks for the video again.
I would say the Floo Flames are there only for our main character; especially if you are in another house. Lets say you're in Slytherin, well your companion character lets you into the Ravenclaw common room for reasons and then later if you wanted to go back without your companion character you would not be able to access through the entrance only through Floo Flame.

Same. Here people would not look at you oddly for sorting your books by number of books then alphabetical order in that sorting then chronological or the like for that series.

I really like this one, but I've been looking for the "cosy" part of the Ravenclaw common room. I feel like it would be easy to sit by the fire in a chair in the Gryffindor one, whereas I'm not sure it'll work quite as well in this one. Great looking common room though. edit: Actually, I've just looked at the Ravenplace Fireplace video, much cosier than the Gryffindor one :)
This is the best designed Common room I’m a Slytherin 🐍 but the devs out did themselves with this design it’s beautiful.

This common room has a very classical and celestial feel. As a Ravenclaw I like the astronomical themes and the correct blue and bronze colouring but I was initially a bit disappointed in the lack of coziness. That all went away though when I saw the upstairs room with the domed ceiling and 360 windows. My jaw dropped. By day the views over the castle and surrounding mountains would be insane and by night the room would basically become an observatory. I could see myself settling in one of those armchairs with my feet up on a foot stool staring up at the stars, maybe talking to a friend. I'm also very intrigued to see whether that spiral staircase goes up to a balcony or a smaller tower room.
Our common room is the best! I appreciate a lot how cleansed, neat, organized, regal, elegant, refined, modern and Victorian it looks.
I honestly feel that it would have been the correct thing to put also a Wizard Chess table on our room like they did with Slytherin, it would have fit Ravenclaw too 🧠.

it would be nice if the bag were to grow/lvl up as the game progresses so initially you would have to come back to the common room more often to retrieve items, and maybe late game you can carry more with you. just a thought

I do like the animation for the entrance. I feel like it's really subtle, in contrast to Slytherin's, which is grand and meant to impress you. Honestly, both fit well with the traits of their own House.

I love how much detail they put into this common room, I just think it looks so cozy and bright. I can't wait to actually explore the Ravenclaw common room in-game. Its nice to see Ravenclaw getting just as much love as the other houses for once!

With the flooflame inside, im willing to bet that you could only travel out with the ones in the common rooms but not back in. However going into the common rooms with the floo flames isnt necessarily breaking lore because i remember in Goblet, Sirius was able to put his face in the Gryffindor fireplace to to talk to Harry. It wasnt until Umbridge had every fireplace in Hogwarts disconnected except hers. But i would agree that having the emphasis on the entrances would limit you to only being to travel out of the common rooms via floo network and not back in.

Hahaha. I was a little confused because I most always user either a blur or cross dissolve. That one was a little heavier on the blurs I think. It definitely caught me off guard seeing the few comments I did (from people who regularly watch the channel too and not just trolls, lol).

As a ravenclaw, I love the common room for it sm. I think the ravenclaw common room encourages appreciation for art in all its form, balance and creativity. Gives you that sense of floating with the stars and flying in the wind through one's mind and passion. They nailed it by including things from astrology, music, art, science and literature etc. It makes you want to explore and learn more. I could literally imagine myself reading a good book then putting it down then staring at the star ceiling as if Im stargazing as Im in in deep thoughts. I would really love if the stars glows at night ngl. Its such a perfect place to do and create stuff. Also love the windows, makes me want to just go stand at them as I look out over the landscapes outside.
Not sure if its an unpopular opinion but I love that the entrance seems like it's open for everyone (not in game obv but just the concept of it overall). I think being a ravenclaw is also about embracing one's and others personal brand of weirdness. Being open to things and etc. I'm also a firm believer that answers for the riddles in ravenclaw's entrance will be considered right as long as you justify your answer or be creative with it. So I wonder how the gameplay for the entrance will be like since the idea of "riddles" can be quite challenging to implement ngl.
For Gryffindor having so many All House focused things, I wonder if it's because Godric's hat is the sorting hat.
And then for Slytherin having a Ravenclaw emblem, their ghosts were part of a tragic 'love' story. One-sided love, at least. Maybe it was to put that as a reminder that a Slytherin basically ended the Ravenclaw bloodline, but everyone forgot over the centuries.

The Ravenclaw common room looks so refreshing, love the fact that it's a massive open area, filled with books and everything just seems so nice and perfectly neat (besides those books of course) Even if the game disappoints with content, i know for a fact i will not be disappointed with the way it looks visually and thats something I am looking forward too the most, just scanning, observing and really taking in all of the beautiful scenery.
i feel like the chests will be something of a community hub, so students can put things in and take them out. either it's somewhere that you can just drop things off if you have spare supplies (for gameplay purposes, this would mean that we can collect spare items like potion ingredients) or it's a drop-off point for lost items.
I think the chests will be for concealed items which are illegal to carry with you like in the Hitman games
On the topic of the floo flame, I was thinking they'll be more for communication or passing through/retrieving items. Maybe we're connecting the flame to a particular fireplace and handing someone/retrieving from someone an item from the other side. Let's say the character is given a request to find a collectible, someone outside of the open world map or within, they tell us to send it to them through the floo network to their personal fireplace. We have these dotted around Hogwarts, so if it's getting late and you don't want to sneak past Prefects just to get this to them, you can just do it from your Common Room.
The chest is seen in multiple locations outside of the common rooms. I believe they will act as a "digital vault" where you can store items into it from any of the chests and access them from any other chest
I think the chests are where we will pick up our preorder content/ bonuses. Multiple games have that feature, where rather than clogging up your inventory you can pick it up when you want
I'm pretty sure the floo flames are just a lore-friendly way to explaining fast travel, even though having one in the common room is also lore-breaking. From a gameplay standpoint, it makes sense for the player to have a way to fast travel to their common room, as they would probably have to return there several times throughout the story, so to be able to fast travel to it rather than having to go to the tower every single time makes sense. It just doesn't make sense from a lore standpoint. Unless they bring it into the lore as part of the 'ancient magic' that our character specifically can utilize, or some other reason why we're the only ones able to use it.
I guess the whole Raven/Eagle kerfuffle is because the game designers chose to use "antique" heraldry variations of the eagle. And those actually dó look like ravens to our modern eyes.
The chest could just be a model they are reusing. Building every chest and decoration from scratch is a LOT of work. They could just be trying to save time. But if it DOES have a gameplay mechanic, I think it's for item storage, and I think clothes would be stored in a wardrobe that you could use to change in. But I might be completely wrong.

Thinking the teleport system might be a restrictive one, as in, can only fast travel to places you have been before and know the proper name of.
The flu flame would be easy to explain by linking it to ancient magic and not being something that can be normally used.
I used to Trash talk Ravenclaw common room with limited photos that made it look strictly like a library and not really a home for a year, but after this video it's easily my new favorite common room
I think the floo flame is only for the player character because for example when Neville Longbottom forgot the passwords he couldn’t use the floo flame to get into the Gryffindor common room.

With the fast travel system being flu powder and the books and movies put an emphasis on saying your destination out loud, I think there will be a list of locations that are available to travel to that we can choose from when using the network. When you're in your common room maybe you can only travel to different parts of the castle and certain areas will allow you to go wherever you'd like outside the grounds. They could also make certain locations unavailable to players such as other house common rooms or any other restricted areas until unlocked. Some areas could be unavailable during certain parts of the day, like locations in the castle after dark.
Book said that Eagle at entrence spawned a riddle - if a Ravenclaw didn't give the correct answer, he had to wait for someone else to come... THAT DESCRIPTION MADE THINGS FAR WORSE THAN INTERESTING!!!
First, if you are in a rush, cuz you forgot something - and Eagle spawns new riddle - you don't know the answer - you can't get your stuff back!!!
Second, if Eagle produces new riddle each time after closing (thats how its described, cuz otherwise if one riddle was used for several days / 1 week - it would still fall in 'password protection' category) - it means the bird makes at least 50 riddles per week, 100 per 2 weeks.... THEN HOW FREAKING MUCH IN A WHOLE YEAR?!?!
Maybe with the flop powder, you can only EXIT common rooms. Like a one way street.
I know everyone will pick their own house on their first playthrough, and despite me being a fan of Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff... I'll be picking Gryffindor for my first playthrough.
I want to be immersed into the full Hogwarts experience that I got from my experience with the movies. And that required house Gryffindor.

In the end I choose Ravenclaw. I love the common room. It’s the best imo. Here are my opinions on the common rooms:
Gryffindor: There’s to much going on. It looks messy and dirty. (Sorry if I sound mean)
Hufflepuff: To much light. Not a fan of yellow.
Slytherin: It’s cool af. Only problem is that I have a phobia towards snakes and deep waters (ex- pools, lakes, and ocean).
Ravenclaw: I love it. Blue is my favorite color (especially darker blues). The room is relaxing and clean with just a little bit of a mess (stack of books). The astrology theme/stuff is nice.
Little info on me :) the 2 houses I mainly get are Slytherin and Ravenclaw. I get a little more of Slytherin but I’m super scared of snakes and deep waters💀. Other than that I love the Slytherin aesthetic. In the end I went with Ravenclaw.

Maybe the chests that are in the common rooms function as a Lost and Found? I would think it would be in the Room of Requirement but if you loose all your health maybe you loose items as well and some can be recovered in the chest
i assume the chest is just inventory overflow (like the chests placed in camps/towns in HZD)

As a Slytherin, We stole the Ravenclaw banner and Pinned it up like a trophy.
I hope we can zoom out the camera a bit behind our character. A tight camera in games like GoW is pretty annoying, and I'd rather take in the world than my character's back.
Oh i just know that I will admire the whole world and it’s tiny details while playing so much and I’m excited about it

the chests are almost certainly personal item chests i imagine storage chests where u can store items found within game as i highly doubt ur gonna be alowd to carry 100 items on ur person ur probly gonna have like a 10 slot inventory

I admit, I wasn’t a fan of the Ravenclaw common room when they first showed a glimpse of it. But the more I see, the more I love it.
I wonder if the floo network will work as an exit only in the common rooms... like maybe you wake up late for class or something and you could then fast travel near to a classroom or around the castle but you'd still need to use the entrances to get inside the common rooms?
If you cant access other common rooms other than your specific house then this is the first game i can guarantee I'll be doing 4 playthroughs!!!

IN regards to the Floo Network. How do you know we cannot go into another houses Dorm? It happened in Harry Potter, though true, it only happened in a DIRE need.
As for the chest opposite the notice board, maybe it's a "lost and found" box? You said the old games had fetch quests on the notice board. Maybe it's a place to turn in those notice board quests and retrieve any rewards for them?
I said it on another video and I'll say it here, I love the Ravenclaw common room. It's probably my favorite common room so far besides my own, Hufflepuff. It looks absolutely gorgeous and I can't wait to play a Ravenclaw character and admire it from the inside.

Honestly, I could see a bunch of ravenclaw students sticking it out with the riddle rather than using floo powder anyways. Who wants to be the ravenclaw that got stumped and had to cheat into the common room?
They really put so much effort into ravenclaw like idk why but I feel like the other houses are gorgeous too but deffo they received more attention 😂

As a Ravenclaw, i was honestly a little apprehensive about picking Ravenclaw for my playthrough as i initially thought the common room looked quite cold and uncomfortable, and i preferred the cosy ambiance of the other rooms, especially Gryffindor, but i think this walkthrough has changed my mind. There are so many details, and i love the fact that students work is just left in their study spots, i feel like it makes it more personal than it otherwise comes across as. Slytherin is still the best. Also maybe the flame is for only for your character so you don't spend time traveling. I think you'll only get your house open though.
I bet the floo flame is simply an icon for the player to interact with. I don't think it exists in the game world
I’m a Ravenclaw, and though I love this room and it looks quite similar to my own living space irl; I absolutely LOVE the Hufflepuff common area. IRL I’d be a mix between Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff
