So glad he finally broke that 4 minute barrier. What an accomplishment. He's tried so many times and now he joins the elite HS sub 4 club. Congrats Rheinhardt, your a super star.
Outstanding! Had he been in the Bowerman with Colin they both would have run 3:56 - 3:57. He has incredible potential to carve seconds off that time in the right race.
Amazing. Congrats. And even more amazing is next year at Newbury Park high school in California this would probably make him the 4th best miler on their boys team. I’m not saying Reinhardt would be 4th, but that this time might be 4th for that team next year.
This looks like a 1600m, not a mile. He has to finish 9m past the start line. Is the track 402m? Do the cones on the turns ensure he runs the extra 9m? Edit: this track is a 440yd track, not a 400m track. full mile for Rheinhardt! Congrats!
2nd place guy ran 4:11... crazy stuff man. That time would have won almost every state meet and/or invitationals besides California and Oregon. Congrats to Rheinhardt Harrison on breaking 4! Can't wait to see what more exciting things he accomplishes.
4:11 would win plenty states and a lot of classifications. The dude who came in second literally was the Florida 4A 1600 state champ, which is Florida’s biggest classification, and his time would’ve won 1A, 2A, and 3A as well. 4:11 would win 90 percent of lower classifications in basically every state, and would win a big chunk of the large classifications in every state as well. I would also still consider 4:11 to be elite as well. There are people who are better, and some who are much better like Rheinhardt Harrison and Gary Martin, but it’s still an elite time that not many high schoolers even come close to
@@goofygoober7617 converting to 1600 m it’s a 4:09 which would’ve gotten him 3rd cleanly, with one of the guys who beat him being an obvious outlier in Gary Martin
I was thinking the same, it looks like they ran 1600 with where they started. On my track you start behind the numbers for full mile. I’m sure they did it right but I noticed too
Of all the sub 4 high schoolers this year, he just seems so cool, like a free spirit.
Its crazy that you can say "of all the" because theres 4 of them thats insane!

STRONG and smooth in that second half. I'm thinking he could have done 3:57 with better pacers that didn't keep making him stumble.
He would have done better with no pacers that was so dumb
@@ehillis7646 agreed
And he just about negative/even split the 2nd 800 as well. This kid's the future. Very mature way to break 4 for the first time.
For most people the third lap is slug slower than the fourth
Sorry just realized what you meant
Jesus Christ loves you all please repent

He runs so efficiently and seems absolutely suited for the mile.
Keep the mile! Breaking 4 mins is a great and exciting and important milestone on the way -hopefully - to greater things.
THE PACERD DID NOT HELP HIM - I THINK HE HAD A 3:58 FLAT IN HIM
LITERALLY. If anything those pacers hurt him after lap 1, they lagged and got in his way
K then he should race competitive race and stop dodging comp
@@supremeandrewsnoke419 he ain't dodging comp bruh he just broke 4 minutes, he is the comp
Agreed. I was annoyed when he said that like he's trying to take something away from his amazing performance.

That last 4 was wild!
I love how the second place finisher is cheering over the line

Most likely not. Thats very interesting
it's a 440yd track
@@hatpackats7014 Thank you! I feel dumb.
all tartent tracs are...400-meters.....did u not see how that they were started aprox...30-feet back in the start of the 1st lap???
He’s gonna be a monster in college
good quality flotrack
Solo last two laps, just wow
The pacer couldn't even hit 2 flat for 800??

4:11 would definitely not win many states...
@@brainless4231 yeah it would
Gary Martin would’ve even beat Harrison as well. 4:11 is great but not elite. Would’ve been around 5th in PA state meet

He finally ran sub 4, he deserved it
I knew he would break 4. He is the great sleeper that flew under the radar. Mark me now, he will be the noisemaker in the future!
All the freeze pops paid off
Who was hitting those notes in the background 😭
It was the adele that made him run sub 4
what shoes was he wearing? cant quite tell
Wondering if this is a full mile? amazing race
woah I just noticed that .It might have been a 1600 lol
They said full mile but it doesn’t look like it
full mile
Yeah it’s a 440 yard track so it is indeed a full mile
I think it was a 440yd track
Well Done!
Video quality is absolutely sickening! Nice job folks
Every race that has ever used a pace setter just seems so shady to me...
without the pacer he could have gone faster
W mans
Does anyone else think the race starts and ends at the 1600m line and instead of the mile line?
No definitely starts 9 meters ahead of the 1600 start

looks like anyone else running a slower timing lol, except he’s going 15s/100m constantly without degradation of form
terrible pacers in this race.
He could’ve gone sub 4 a year ago.

the guy in the red/orange singlet did a good job packing the other pacer I feel like he was only getting in his way 😭
Shout out to the best pacer, Alec Miller, fr fr
Both pacers sucked!
Connor burns and Gary Martin are faster
