Thanks for the video! Neat radios! I need to save some pennies to pick one up :). I've been looking at the FT5D for awhile, but the fact that it doesn't use a USB-C jack is honestly inexcusable! Looking forward to the overpriced next-gen LoL.
Have both… each have their advantages, but for mine, the 52 is the much better radio simply because it has very good intermod rejection. The FT-5 fails dismally in the central business district or under or near transmission towers.

HELL I HAVE THIS RADIO will the software for the regular Icom ID52 work ? Because RT systems has Bo software yet and there isn’t even a Nifty manual

Only the Yaesu does APRS so on that alone the winner is easy

The UI on the ft5d is positively horrendous. The 52 blows it out of the water on all fronts except size.
