love that max doesn't take himself too seriousily!! he can go from spooky and straightfaced to saying some pretty funny jokes without cracking a smile!!
What???? Just stumbled upon this video, brings tears to my eyes. He had such a great influence on me in boyhood, and 30 years later he remained one of the greats. So sad to hear this.
I only found out a few days ago. I bought bwave deluxe from penguin recently, which I kinda thought was a new-ish product that came out this year. Then I heard Craig Petty refer to him as "the late great Max Maven" and I was like hold up... did he say that accidentally? Or what? Like I didn't really believe it at first, but I googled him and was surprised to find out he's been gone since November.
This shows how great this Max Maven would become. wonderful performances. There is one effect where he uses a deck if cards and narrows it down to one pile. Does anyone know the name of this. 👍👏👍👏😊👍😊
You all can freely make copies of all my videos I upload to UA-cam videos search engine even vbs skits church activities and magic TV specials and magic TV shows and Rubik's cube puzzles extc
One thing he didn't predict is that his stage persona would become the blueprint for the cheesy magician that movies and tv ridicule when they want to make fun of magic. Like Matt Lucas's "Look into my eyes" stage hypnotist in Little Britain.

Such a mind. It's still hard to believe he's gone😢

I love how cheesy it is, and yet when I was young, this was absolutely the best!
R.I.P Max, great performer 😢
Noooo Paul nooo 😢, stop it
I missed this as a kid, but as an adult, I loved it, it was cheesy and hilarious and lots of fun.
This is a lot of fun. We're lucky to have these memories.
Thank you so much for archiving and sharing this.
rip max was a privilege to once met you in london
I miss Max. He was alway such a wonderful performer and really nice guy. The Magic Castle really lost an incredible talent upon his passing.

Happy 72nd Max. Would have been cool to see what this would have looked like if it were recorded today.
Definitely different I bet !!

This is so 1980’s
Rightfully so.. 😎
Is he the inspiration for BRAIN from Pinky and the Brain?
Very well could be !!
That was Orson Welles
He was a character, between him and Eugene Berger, i got my education in magic and for ten years i made a decent living from it
'Do you do yourself or does someone do it for you '😅
Is there a preview at the beginning or at the end
There's a list at the beginning of all the items you'll need to duplicate the effects...
@@carruth00 okay
Max maven is a brilliant mentalist however I find him to be corny and I know him personally and he is a know-it-all!
And now we will ALL miss him RIP.
