- Used in the context of both the communists and the nationalists, this song honours the achievements of the Chinese resistance during ww2. Seeing as almost all of the conventional fighting was done single-handedly by the nationalist forces alone, their flag is represented, although the communists still played a miniscule part in some instances.

It's quite hard to govern such a big country democratically, even in places which are somewhat democratic like india, elections are a massive hassle to hold.
Fascism reffers to something which is so vague it's quite hard to accuse anyone of being fascist unless they don't claim to fight for democracy.

As a Japanese, I would like to pay a massive respect to the Chinese soldiers who bravely fought the war. We literally captured their capital twice (Nanjing and Wuhan). No major power went to a total intervention until 1941. The situations were awful for them, yet they never ever gave up and protected their independence. It is such a shame that the Japanese people and government were not able to stop all the tragedies. May the eternal peace be in Asia.

As a Korean, we appreciate ROC and Mr. Chiang for his full scale support over our independence fight during the colonial period. Mr. Chiang is actually conferred the National Founding Hero medal of South Korea. They were unable to maneuver through the Chinese countryside on account of partisans preventing any chance of resupply or communication. Without any of the manpower or equipment that the NRA possessed, the communists had leaders far more dedicated and competent. American and British forces in Burma literally had to pay NRA officers bribes in order for them to do their jobs, and even then they failed to cooperate

A simple clarification:
The composition of the song was commissioned in 2015 by the government of Peoples Republic of China at the behest of CCP and PLA to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the end of WWII. It debuted on August 16th 2015 in the official celebratory gala organized by PLA and was livestreamed on CCTV (China Central TV) throughout China. It has since been regularly performed at official events within Mainland China. It was NEVER for once performed in Taiwan, given the fact it's a piece of propaganda music of PLA and CCP.
99.9999999999% of the commentators are oblivious to such basic fact. They saw the flag and the first thought was Taiwan. That first thought ended up being the only thought that was there. The video creator imposed ROC flag in the background for the simple fact it was the ONLY Official flag of the entire China during WWII, during which CCP and KMT were allies.
The Civil War broke out in 1946 and ROC only retreated to Taiwan in 1949, four years after the end of WWII. During WWII, Taiwan was the colony of Japan, as it had been since 1895.
200,000+ Taiwanese soldiers fought on the Axis side. 32000+ lost their lives under the Red Sun Flag for Imperial Japan. WWII for the Taiwanese Military was a complete defeat, not victory.

Modern China is actually quite advanced, on par with Taiwan, Japan, and Korea. To be entirely honest, the mainland China of today is basically what Chiang Kai-Shek wanted for China, he was a nationalist first and foremost, and would've loved to see China as the second most powerful nation on earth.
Well, the main reason nationalists lose the war was WW2 it completely destroy China nationalists try there best to protect the country against Japan on the other hand Communist save their resources and plus the are getting help from USSR

The Nationalists still operated an almost 16th century practice of conscription involving press-gangs dragging people away to be soldiers, loyalty was enforced through harsh discipline, and most soldiers didn't even understand why they were fighting in the first place. When nationalist forces routed, many simply ditched uniforms and returned to the fields. The communists were far more motivated, with a better command structure. every communist knew their unit, and where they were supposed to be, making organized retreat and regrouping possible. The communists also made concerted efforts to reach out to local populations, winning support and volunteers, which was huge, in a time when most chinese had little to no involvment with their government. The communists also had the advantage of intelligence, having a vast network of informants across rural china, allowing them to always keep track of nationalist forces, and surprise them with hit-and-run attacks.
Well, roc was ruled by a military dictatorship in the early years, but eventually switched to democracy

The composition of the song was commissioned in 2015 by the government of Peoples Republic of China at the behest of CCP and PLA to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the end of WWII. It debuted on August 16th 2015 in the official celebratory gala organized by PLA and was livestreamed on CCTV (China Central TV) throughout China. It has since been regularly performed at official events within Mainland China. It was NEVER for once performed in Taiwan, given the fact it's a piece of propaganda music of PLA and CCP.
99.9999999999% of the commentators are oblivious to such basic fact. They saw the flag and the first thought was Taiwan. That first thought ended up being the only thought that was there. The video creator imposed ROC flag in the background for the simple fact it was the ONLY Official flag of the entire China during WWII, during which CCP and KMT were allies.
The Civil War broke out in 1946 and ROC only retreated to Taiwan in 1949, four years after the end of WWII. During WWII, Taiwan was the colony of Japan, as it had been since 1895.
200,000+ Taiwanese soldiers fought on the Axis side. 32000+ lost their lives under the Red Sun Flag for Imperial Japan. WWII for the Taiwanese Military was a complete defeat, not victory.
