Rachel could also be "saved" if max goes into a picture far back and warn CHLOE about it or go to Arcadia Bay just before Rachel dies and save them but idk
Who knows, there are rumors of a second life is strange, but nothing confirmed. I still dont think it would be as good as the first, I absolutely adore the romance between max and Chloe and im gay. XD And thanks for the compliment x3

This game basically tell us that altering the past or time travel are basically impossible.. Just like if we choose to sacrifice chloe.. That just make us never disturb the flow of the timeline.. Things that already happen are meant to happen and happen for reasons..
+ghost gamer LIS time travel isn't traditional. In the LIS time travel Max's decisions do not alter history. they cause dimensional splits. ( multiverse theory ) Similar to how Trunks did in the DBZ universe.
