Hi Lexi, always appreciate how thorough your reviews are as well as how honest you are without drama in your delivery. I'm in agreement that I'm not looking to add more work in application. While I can appreciate a sheer, natural look I'm not sure these products are for everyone. Thank you for sharing your experience and overall thoughts. 🥰❤️❤️👏👏
I will layer the complexion touch over the water fresh tint. Since pandemic my go to foundation is only the water fresh tint and Dior forever skin correct since I frequently use face mask. I am excited to try both complexion touch and the water tint blush!💖💖💖
Thanks for such a comprehensive review. I did hesitate over these products but decided to order one blush intense coral and BR12 in the Touch (same as you).
Thanks as always for your thorough review! I do like the fact that the Complexion Touch has more of a glow than the Water Tint. I tend to wear the Tint in the warmer months and as much as I like it I often wish it was more dewy. Mine arrives on Monday- I wish now I stayed with my usual B20 but I’ll try it and see. I’ll probably pass on the blush- I tend to like to be more targeted with my blush and think although pretty it would be too much work in comparison with my creams.
Hi lexi! New subbie here. What’s the difference between BD and B? I understand BR is more rosey but what about just ‘B’ and BD? 🤷🏻♀️ Thank you for your in-depth reviews! I always get excited when I search for a product and one of your videos pop up!!
Thank you Chloe! The B stands for Beige and that is what Channel considers neutral but it leans a little warm still. BD is Beige Dore which is Golden Beige and this is their warm line. BR is Beige Rose which is supposed to be cooler. The coolness and warmness of their shades does not seem to accurately match the descriptors imo especially since they are different shades and not just different undertones with the same shade.
Thanks so much for explaining and demonstrating the differences between the Chanel water fresh teint (which I have in Medium Light) and the new Chanel complexion touch. Not sure I see a use case for the complexion touch version for me. The Chanel water fresh teint blush is a nonstarter for me, since I have a few WA and Clea de Peau cream blushes that I prefer. Your final look is lovely, but agree - seemed like more effort with the water based blush. You have a nice Chanel foundation collection. This video was very helpful! Have a great weekend Lexi!
Thank you Maureen! I agree that the touch is going to be better for people who didn't have a great color match in the tint. I definitely prefer the cdp and wa blushes over this one personally.
Thanks Lexi - this is exactly the video I was hoping for today! I use the water fresh tint right now and love it but I need to mix the 2 lightest shades to get a good match for my BR12 skin tone. Given that, I may switch to the complexion touch in BR12 the next time around. I might also try the blush in the light pink for those no makeup look days. I find that if I first break up all the pigments with a brush on the back of my hand it all goes on beautifully… but you’re right, it’s more work! Anyway, thanks for another fabulous video - so thorough and helpful like all your videos!!
I am B10, but I chose B20 because I wanted for summer when I can get more color and I did test one day and felt it was very forgiving. I did buy the warm pink, but I haven't had time to play with it. I have a little artist mixing palette and plan to break the beads on this surface so they don't start soaking into the hand and then take a brush or fingers and apply from there.
Thank you so much for these shade comparisons! I am quite pale and always use BD01 in Chanel foundations. The shade Light in the Water Fresh Tint is a really great match for me. I wish they had a BR02 for their foundations like their concealer as BD, although light enough, is still a bit too visibly yellow on me. I am still not sure if I would get B10 in the Complexion Touch once my Water Fresh Tint runs out or just repurchase it as I am so over having too use complexion products that are too dark on me ;)
Wouldn’t that be the same with the Chanel water face tint you have to burst the beads for a light day would work the same for that and the new blushes? I got 1 of the blushes in deep bronze I absolutely love it I work at Disneyland and it lasted all day! Will definitely be buying more!
Yes you need to burst them for each but with the tint I burst them on my face with a brush or apply with my fingers by rubbing some between my fingers first so that saves a step for me. With the blushes I need to be more careful with application so there is a little more work.
I picked up the water fresh tint blush in warm rose and came to the same conclusions you did. Too fussy of a product for me.. I thought it would be less work but I think it’s a lot more work! TY ❤️
the water fresh tint was a very unexpected hit - my regular SA at chanel said they were all surprised at how well received it was. i was very impressed when i tested it during the launch and bought one, only to realise that my non-airconditioned home meant that my skin remained wet since the high humidity hinders proper evaporation (unlike the dry airconditioned experience at the launch event!). the best results are from fingertip application because with a brush, the pigments tend to cling to bristles and leave only the gel on my face - it was also difficult working out which sunscreen would work under it without breaking apart from all the moisture content. all in all i really like it on bare skin because there’s a magical evening & blurring effect after settling into the skin that becomes increasingly noticeable in a couple of hours - it’s amazing. the hydration also means that my skin remains supple without makeup creasing and breaking up due to moisture loss over time. if i didn’t have to consider sunscreen i would wear it more often, otherwise it’s just too much work. thank you for the comprehensive review, such helpful info & great demo as always. i think the complexion touch looks really good under your eyes !
Thank you so much for sharing all of this information. I love the water fresh tint but I tend to wear it in air conditioning too. Sunscreen can always be hard but I use the Surratt primer on top of my sunscreen and don't have any compatibility issues that way.
My rosacea would not like the bitter orange extract in the blushes, so they are a pass for me. I'm looking forward to Complexion Touch though, especially since that omits the bitter orange extract and fragrance that's in Water-Fresh Tint.
I was listening and looking off and on and couldn't tell you were wearing anything. I got the original version and found it drying. I don't want a product to evaporate and suck water from my skin while it does that for a slightly cooling sensation while it does it. I returned it. You skin looks nice but that is because your skin was already nice. These are not in my opinion worth bothering with.
Yes! I’m about to use my Ulta points on the Complexion Touch and I’m SO thrilled you demo’d the BR12! I use the Water Fresh in Medium Light, but the B30 looks too dark, the B20 too yellow for me, the B10 too fair. It’s extremely hard to find Native American undertones, but the rose-tones seem to get pretty close. Kind of surprising win for Chanel. 🤗 Thanks, Lexi!
Hi Lexi! Thank you for featuring these new Chanel products! I agree that the B10 shade would have been better, and that the blush is too much work. In the end, I am not super impressed with either product. My Neostrata mineral SPF50 PA++++ provides the same level of coverage and, not only does it protect my skin but it’s a better shade for me. (And it’s far less expensive.) It would be interesting to see a comparison of the new complexion tint against the Rose Inc. water-foundation, which has a very similar look, down to the bottle. Thank you for quashing my FOMO for this launch.
Thank you Jocelyne! I thought about getting the Rose Inc foundation but decided to pass. The shades were difficult to determine and I just don't think I will use it enough.
I think that the B10 looks best on you, though both are fine. I was interested in seeing if the Touch would actually provide more coverage than the Tint for those days that I need a bit more, but still want light. I really don’t see much difference in coverage, at least to the extent that I want to run out and buy the Touch now. I like the Tint and will stick with it until it’s gone, then figure it out. Really like the blush colors, but I have a couple of liquid blushes that aren’t as fussy, from Armani, Suqqu and Daniel Sandler. The biggest hurdles using any of them is realizing that a very, very little goes a long way and to do one cheek at a time. (Trust me, I’ve had a couple of Cleo the Clown looks that bear this out.). So, although I’m entranced by the technology, it’s not for me. Thanks for another thorough review.
As always - we appreciate your thorough reviews and insight. How does the touch compare to the Chanel No 1 revitalizing foundation? Which is less glowy and natural looking. Thank you.
Thank you Sydney! The touch is more glowy but it doesn’t look like a true foundation on the skin so in that sense it is more natural. The no 1 is a natural looking foundation but you have more of that foundation look on your skin. It is glowy but less intense. I personally prefer the no 1 in a light layer for a natural look on me because the touch looks a bit too shiny for my skin type if i use it all over. I have found that i like to use the touch as a concealer and use the tint or the no 1 in a light layer all over.
Thank you Lexi for these comparisons. I would like to ask for your opinion, if you have to choose 1 product between chanel les beiges water fresh tint and chantecaille future skin cushion, what product that you will choose?
I think the Chantecaille cushion gives more coverage but my preference is for the water fresh tint or Complexion touch if you have a good shade. I think they are a better value.
Lexi, so glad to see your review on the new Chanel tint and blush. I don’t use the previous version because I always felt it was too light of coverage. But to see the new version is not that much of a difference and it oxidizes questions whether I’ll purchase. The blush does look beautiful on you and definitely does show up on the skin. I like how you put it “it’s too much work”. So I’m on the fence with the blush. Thank you for a thorough review with great swatches!! 😊❤️
Beautiful video Lexi, and always so honest!!!🤩🤩🤩🤩I just love to watch your video's, don't feel very connected to Chanel as they put fragrance in almost everything, well, sometimes there is something, like de Rêve de Camelia powder/highlighter, sometimes their shadows, and their eyeliners are good, and love their lipgloss. I'm Dutch, but i really hope these European brands stop to put fragrance in, well in almost everything!!! So this is not for me but always love to know what you think about products as you have so much style and taste and knowledge!!!! Wishing you a wonderful day!!!😘😘😘😘
Thank you Annemarie! I agree that there is definitely too much fragrance in products. It is nice that there isn’t any added fragrance in the touch but i wish they hadn’t put any in the blush.
@@LexiJong yes, can also be me. I love you and your channel, you're so good and detailed in this, love your video's!!!!! But can be me, being very bored of the European brands here. Looks beautiful on you!!!
These products look so beautiful on you!!! You make me want them! I can’t use the water fresh tint because I’m allergic to bismuth oxychloride but I don’t see that in the new foundation. It made me super itchy when I tried it a while ago. I love the way these look on you!
Just the comprehensive review I was looking for, thank you! Chanel has been going deeper with B10, so I guess I’m the BD01 now. Everything oxidizes on my oily skin, so I have to one-shade-up. These complexion products really suit older, dry/dull skin to bring back some of the youthful plump look. That’s me in winter. I like the way the Intense Coral blurred the redness a little, we don’t want to completely cover our beautiful rosy cheeks, we just want to refine the look with our makeup so our flush is where we want it and not everywhere. Edit: BTW I don’t think we are getting the oversized Highlighting Powder, am sad.
You articulated exactly how I feel about the redness in our cheeks! Thank you! I'm sorry you can't get the highlighting powder. Maybe they will decide to bring it forth in the future. I feel like it should be a permanent item instead of limited edition.
@@LexiJong it is just too TOO limited edition. Selfridges and Harrods have it, as does Holt Renfrew but only if you shop in person. They don’t offer it online or ship it. I’ve been watching because I know if it appears on the US site it will instantly sell out. They probably know that so why bother, right?? 😩
Fantastic, honest review - thanks Lexi! Was curious about these as I've never tried the original one. I do love my Les Beiges hydration and longwear foundation though, it's light, watery too and coverage is enough for me plus the right amount of glow. These new products look really glowy off the bat so it'd probably melt off of me after a few hours! Yeah I'm not sure about these, fact that you get 20ml but price is high is a wee bit off putting.
Hi Lexi! I ended up going to my local Chanel boutique in launch day and thank goodness I did or else I would have ordered the wrong shade assuming I would be a B30 like the other Chanel foundations. I do love that the water touch has a bit more coverage as sometimes I do want a little more something that what just the water teint gives. I did end up liking the blushes and got the warm pink. I felt so natural and fresh faced for the rest of my day afterwards. Thanks again for your honest review, I really appreciate all your hard work to get this info to us!
@@kateaye3506 B40 but because I have a little bit more color now it’s summer (and a Hawaii trip soon so more color) and I didn’t want to look too pale with B30.
Gimmick, for sure. As a hard core Chanel fan, and a lover of the Eau de Teint, I do find these products needlessly elaborate. A waste of excess plastic and time in application. I'd have been happier having the Eau de Teint in a simple glass jar with pump. I adore the finish of the Eau de Teint, but find the new blush and foundation very average. Between the Eau de Teint and No. 1 de Chanel, I'm covered.
GREAT REVIEW LEXI SO THOROUGH ...Was really curious about Chanel water fresh blush ...I was wondering what is making your skin look so glowed before you put on any makeup and primer ? it looks great
I paid a ridiculous amount of money to import the Chanel Water Fresh Blush in Warm Pink last year and was disappointed. I think the biggest disappointment was how chintzy the plastic packaging was-I initially questioned whether my product was fake because of just how poor the packaging is in person. 🤷🏻♀️ Also found the product itself disappointing, sadly.
Thank you for the thorough review. Just got the complexion touch today. My first thought is the brush could be much better, lol. I found the product to be a little blotchy on application. I need to figure out what application techniques work best for me. Other than that, it is a very nice product. Happy I picked it up.
Glad it was helpful! I hope you figure out what technique works best for you. I have really been enjoying it as an under-eye concealer. Let me know if you try that please!
Hi Lexi love new water complexion touch. I finally was able to purchase from Chanel website over the weekend 😜 I love original, so i was thinking as you did, to use them together, at least for summer i would use The new one , as touch up. You know when i wear bronzed look, there is no need for a lot of coverage. I ordered intense coral blush, hopefully it will be visible on bronzed skin, because i used nars torrid with bronzers and it was like sunburned skin, its so different color without bronzer, i am also thinking to get deep apricot or deep bronze. Question do you put these blushes before the bronzer? , i use two bronzers. First CT cream one, then Chanel powder oversized one . Thank you and have a blessed day🙏🧡
I love the Water Tint, I am not sure who was asking for more coverage in this formula. I don’t think the water-gel like formula lends itself to that build anyway. I do think the blushes are pointless. The formula diffuses pigment too much and is really only suitable for fair people.
I tried two shades of the water-fresh tint a couple of years ago. Unfortunately neither shade looked good. I do understand some people find this product gives them the " perfect look". I found it over hyped and a complete waste of money, so I don't think the " new version" will be on my purchasing list. A good mousturiser will give much the same look, Thanks for the demo and your honest opinion Lexi. P.S. It's a few minutes before midnight in Australia. Good Night.
Huge thanks for this in-depth review. You always are so informative. This looks, the new complexion touch, looks gorgeous on you. I recently purchased it and LOVE it!! It is my new favorite! 🥰 agree it does run slightly darker than other comparison shades.
Hi Lexie, I’ve been playing with the blush and find that if I dispense just a tiny drop on my fingers ( middle and point), I blend with my 4 fingers ( from both hands, point and middle ) then it’s so easy to just apply to face without overusing…and it’s already in the top of my fingers for application. FYI..Got the deeper shade and it’s not scary at all, it’s a beautiful bronze/ rosewood shade. Didn’t buy the foundation but it’s all gone ( also the blushes ) from the Chanel website, do you know why? Sold out?
Thank you for sharing Dafne. I will try that out. The blushes and complexion touch are back on the site now. Their shipment hadn't arrived when they started selling so they ended up canceling orders. My guess is that it has now arrived.
I’ve been enjoying the Water Fresh Tint in shade Light. I do get oily, so powder is always necessary. As for these new blushes, I feel like too much is wasted by blending, so I’d rather just use my Chantecaille cheek gelee in Happy or powder blush in Emotion (Bee). I might try the new Water Fresh Complexion Touch some day, but currently I have a backup of the original Fresh Water Tint. I reserve it for my best skin days. Thanks for sharing. This really helps, and you look radiant as always!
Don’t really see myself trying out these products, but thank you for the great review! You look beautiful, I particularly love the eyeshadow & lipstick colors. Hope you’re well & that you have a lovely weekend!
I’m in my 50s and love the Water Fresh tint but sometimes need a bit more coverage on my cheeks so I think both would work well for my drier skin. I have tried adding another layer of tint where needed but it doesn’t really work. Sadly the newer one isn’t yet available in my country but I hope that and the blushes, because they look wonderful, are released soon. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you Lexi! My SA mentioned that the complexion touch runs deeper so I picked up B10 and B20 and may mix. I am B20 except when I get a little sun! Mine arrive today. I have not tried the water fresh tint and thought this one would be better. I am glad I waited on your review for the blushes. Thank you for saving me some $!!!!
Hi Lexi - really enjoyed this video and application plus the comparisons. Your info was so detailed I think if I were to want something it would end up being the Water Fresh Tint as the light shade looks really pretty and subtle, whereas the Complexion Touch looked rather more dark - so more margin of error possible. I would def pass on the blush - I even find the Chantecaille tints in tubes a nuisance to use, so this Chanel one would really irritate me 🤣
So excited to watch this!!! I have a couple questions for you, but I will wait until after I watch the video! Thanks for getting this up so fast, I am planning on ordering these items today, glad I’m going to see your review first!
I simply do not want to first spread the blush on my hand then place on my face. I feel like this is too time consuming and messy. Thank you for the review. I really appreciate it.
Hi Lexi, great review... I was expecting to get my order today, but it seem s to be stuck somewhere... can't wait to try these and very curious to see how they perform!
With a water-based tint or foundation, what type of sunscreen would you wear so pilling doesn’t occur and it has a smooth application? Preferably an all-mineral one. Thanks for all the content!
I wore it with the Tatcha Mineral sunscreen with no issues. That sunscreen works very well under makeup. They are having their friends and family sale right now: myshlf.us/p-491034 (affiliate link).
The new complexion touch looks very pretty. I am currently waiting for mine to arrive. The blush is a pass for me. To have to play around with a product is a big no for me. Thanks for such a thorough review.☺️
I’m really keen to try the complexion touch as I’ve enjoyed the water fresh tint quite a lot however it’s not been released in Australia and i haven’t been able to find any info… does anyone have any intel? Also I was intrigued by the blush, but after seeing your review, I’m thinking maybe I’ll save my money 🤔
Hi Lexi… I called my local Chanel beauty boutique and they told me they have no info about the release date in Australia or even IF the collection will be released (I find this hard to believe)… in any event I took a leaf out of your book and purchased from selfridges (and purchased the free global shipping for a year subscription). So now I have to start a UA-cam channel given how much more stuff I’ll be buying to get my moneys worth for the subscription lol. I ended up buying a couple of the blushes after seeing Michele Wang’s review :)
Thank you for this video Lexi!! I think both products look beautiful on you and the blush is really pretty! I have only tried a sample of the water fresh tint in the light shade and I really liked it. I’ve never tried a Chanel base product so I’m not sure which shade would suit me the most in the complexion tint. I think I still like the water fresh tint for me in my opinion and how minimal I am. Thank you so much Lexi!! ❤️
Nice to have an honest opinion on these products which are fantastic for some people but after using the Water Fresh Tint I discovered it wasn't for me. I wouldn't use it as a primer as I don't use primers most of the times and for me it gave me very little coverage. I don't need much coverage though that is why I use lighter Chanel foundations, but this was like nothing on my skin unless I used three pumps. As for the new one being 20 ml I know I would use it up too soon and also I don't have the time to add layer after layer. The blushes are a no for me as I prefer a cream blush to give a little more pronounced color. Nice products but not for me unfortunately xx
Hi again Lexi- I’m torn between trying the BR 12 or 10- what is the difference in person? I can’t tell from the video- now I think I can - I think the BR10 is the one I should get😉 I love the luminous fresh appearance of your skin. It reminds me of the look of Chantecaille’s Future Skin.
The B10 is more yellow but a little lighter than the BR12. The BR12 is more of a peachy rose shade. I would have preferred the B10 for me to help neutralize the redness but they are both pretty sheer. They do remind me a bit of the future skin on the face too. Great comparison!
Hey Lexi - great review! I ordered B10 yesterday and noticed I did not see fragrance listed in the ingredients. Did you notice if there was a fragrance in the foundation?
There is no fragrance listed in the complexion touch but the blush has fragrance. I notice a faint scent in the foundation but it is probably due to some of the extracts. It is not the typical Chanel scent.
Thanks so much! Was hoping you would say that. I’m looking forward to trying this out. I don’t usually use Chanel because of the fragrance so I’m looking forward to trying this! Thanks again
Tfs! I ordered off Chanel the day it released here in US and it’s delayed because they don’t have inventory 😭 Great review Lexi I adore my Chanel fresh tint! 💕

Hi Lexi, thank you for this excellent and detailed review. :)
Glad it was helpful!
Oh goodness Lexi, way to shiny for my liking, can it be powdered down to lesson the shine?
Yes it can be powdered down. I used the Westman Atelier powder on top and it worked well.

Thank you! I agree with your assessment of these.
@@LexiJong Thank you again! That is very good to know.
@@LexiJong Thank you soooo much🙏🏻
Lexi, so glad to see your review on the new Chanel tint and blush. 😊❤️
Thank you Lora! I honestly was expecting a little more from these.
@@annemarietimmerman7213 thank you! Have a great day!
@@LexiJong thanks! same for you!!!
These products look so beautiful on you!!! You make me want them! I can’t use the water fresh tint because I’m allergic to bismuth oxychloride but I don’t see that in the new foundation. It made me super itchy when I tried it a while ago. I love the way these look on you!
Thank you Maya! The ingredients on the touch are definitely a bit more simple which is great!
@@cwynn1547 i don’t think we are getting it in the US. I checked with Jelissa. It is a shame, it looked like the best item.
Yes these are pretty glowy! I love the les beiges foundation too. I think it is just an easier product to use.
@@LexiJong very glowy (for me), agree, that foundation is perfect and hard to beat! 👌
Oops totally wrong brush!!!!!
Yep! My mistake! I'm glad I was able to add in the note about that though!
Thank you so much and I am glad you are happy with your purchases!
So, what shade did you end up getting? I am B30 and would have assumed I'm the same in the new one.
Perfectly said!
You have the most amazing and helpful videos! Thank you so much for doing what you do so well and providing us with such awesome content!
Thank you so much!!
GREAT REVIEW LEXI SO THOROUGH ...Was really curious about Chanel water fresh blush ...I was wondering what is making your skin look so glowed before you put on any makeup and primer ? it looks great
Thank you! That is the Violette_FR Boum Boum Milk and the Tatcha sunscreen.
I'm so sorry to hear that! Unfortunately, your packaging is the same as mine. Not a fan either.
Thank you and have a blessed day🙏🧡
I think you can use them before or after the bronzer but I would personally use them before the bronzer I think.
I love the Water Tint, I am not sure who was asking for more coverage in this formula. I don’t think the water-gel like formula lends itself to that build anyway. I do think the blushes are pointless. The formula diffuses pigment too much and is really only suitable for fair people.
Thanks for sharing!
Good Night.
Have a great night Gail and thank you for sharing!
Huge thanks for this in-depth review. You always are so informative. This looks, the new complexion touch, looks gorgeous on you. I recently purchased it and LOVE it!! It is my new favorite! 🥰 agree it does run slightly darker than other comparison shades.
Thank you Lisa! I am so glad you love it!
Thank you Tammy! I completely agree with your assessment of the blushes. They just aren't worth it for me.
Don’t really see myself trying out these products, but thank you for the great review! You look beautiful, I particularly love the eyeshadow & lipstick colors. Hope you’re well & that you have a lovely weekend!
Thank you so much!! I appreciate that. Have a wonderful weekend also!
Thanks for sharing!! I really like using these in conjunction with each other and I tend to use the new one as a concealer in general.
Thanks for sharing!! I'm sure some people will love the blushes but they are not for everyone.
I would def pass on the blush - I even find the Chantecaille tints in tubes a nuisance to use, so this Chanel one would really irritate me 🤣
Thanks Annie! I agree.
So excited to watch this!!! I have a couple questions for you, but I will wait until after I watch the video! Thanks for getting this up so fast, I am planning on ordering these items today, glad I’m going to see your review first!
Thank you Susan!
I simply do not want to first spread the blush on my hand then place on my face. I feel like this is too time consuming and messy. Thank you for the review. I really appreciate it.
I totally agree! Thanks for watching Melissa!
Hi Lexi, great review... I was expecting to get my order today, but it seem s to be stuck somewhere... can't wait to try these and very curious to see how they perform!
Hopefully they will arrive soon!
Thank you Jan! I hope you enjoy it!
Hey Lexi.. thanku for these thorough nd honest reviews as always..👌👌
My pleasure 😊
Another great Video Lexi, I appreciate your comments regarding the brushes.
Thank you Gina!
I haven't heard anything about Australia yet, sorry!
After watching this video I'm glad i have ordered the b10!!!
I wish I had! Lol.
Thank you so much!! I think I prefer the tint too Yulia - mostly because of the shade for me.
Thank you for sharing Caterina! I really appreciate your feedback.

I'm getting my blush in Light Pink later today, can't wait! Off topic but where is your necklace from? I love it!
Thank you! I bought it from Etsy here: myshlf.us/p-496200.
@@LexiJong thank you! 😊
@@LexiJong and I have future skin in alabaster .. so maybe the B12 would be better? Not sure.. wish I could try samples.
@@Loralarify definitely try asking for samples. I think if you like alabaster, br12 is closer to it
Hey Lexi - great review!
Great video Lexi! Thank you for this review.
Glad it was helpful! Thanks for watching!
