This is what I've been looking for. I am in my last year of school and the planner they had us buy was soon boring! My personal planner is fun and that's what I plan to do with my teacher planner. I like how this is set up and it makes sense. :)

I love your format and am combing it with some other ideas. For example, pacing guide on graph paper, standards, blooms quick list, etc.
Wow! Just came upon your video. Loved it! I think I would need a standard size binder but I would definitely use the same inserts. I especially like the positive/negative comment page to send parents between marking periods. Thanks for the ideas!
That is a great idea, what I would add is a section for attendance and behavior log.

I love the way you put together this planner. I definitely going to put it together. I would love to know where I can get the templates, but for a 8.5 by 11 binder. I really loved the pages with the inspirational messages.

Hello, I've been teaching for over 25 years, and I have to tell you I love your planner. I like how you have "a place for everything" in a nice, small binder. I tried a small binder a couple of years ago, but your's is amazing! I tried to go to etsy to order a copy, but it won't go through. Is there another way I could get a copy?

Do you still have this printable planner for sale? I like the size and customizing potential of it. I am an ESE Inclusion teacher. So I need pages to track individual student's progress, grades, IEP data, and such. I also like to document accommodations provided to students. I LOVE your solution of the binder clip holding the pen. Thanks, also, for the great advice on the rings being attached to the back of the binder and not the spine. I had never thought of that.

This is awesome! I love the mini binder size, I've seen those at Target but never knew what I would do with one! I really liked your idea of including the calendar for your attendance.
I start my new teaching job in September (I'm a brand new teacher!) and I was searching vids on how to set up my planner. I came across yours and am so happy I did! You helped me see how to go about planning for the year!
please can I have the pdf copy. I finally got a contract after subbing for 5 years and 100,000$$$ in student loans. I am excited about finally gaining the opportunity to finally have a class of my own. 😀😀 I will be fully challenged as I am in a receivership school and teaching 7th grade self contained in a 12:1:1. I am not that familiar with the school and have complete anxiety. I want to be as organize as. possible and I feel that what you created is very manageable and obtainable. I would implement some IEP components but I don't want it too bulky. I may create separate. I would like a LP template similar to yours but with the "I do,we do, you do" format. Please free to email me to assist in any other ideas you may have on helping a first year lover of PD and organization and behavior management. As you noted you have been fortunate to teach for many years. I just want 2 last!!!
I'm a TA for SEND students hoping to secure a teacher training placement for next September. I've been watching lots of set-up videos and trying to gain some inspiration for how to improve my own organisation; I have a packed timetable, with lessons every period with the exemption of fortnightly Year Team and Department meetings. I'm currently using a customised planner I ordered online but its really not holding up well with my workload. This has to be the best set-up I've seen so far. I want to buy my own little folder now! You're a star - thank you for sharing this!
I prefer the A5 size mini-planners. I wish I could go back to them, but my county requires so much documentation on "their" forms that it's just not feasible. *sigh* Love your setup and printables. They've really inspired me for next year. Thank you so much for sharing your organizing tips.

HI i Have already purchased two planners for the coming year :o( and am not really happy with them especially when one of them has files that are broken. However your smaller version the layout and explanation how you use and why you use each section is great. i love the personal attendance tracker and the quotes on each section page. i would love to use your planner but buying a third when I am in Australia and only would use half this year Jan - June . I have subscribed and will be looking into it for next year though I would love to use for next six months. Great work excellent sections and information in one place. Wish I had of seen this first.

I really like your planner, I have been teaching for years and I have thought about trying to set up my planner with this type of mini binder. Now more than ever, I am inspired to organize mine this way. Do you actually have a separate planner for your personal schedule? I toss back and forth with that idea. Sometimes I have separate sometimes together.
I want to have a planner this organized. We have a set curriculum book in my center (preschool). Someday I'll have my own in home preschool and will have a planner like this one.
I am a NYC Teaching Fellow. I secured a position as a math special education teacher in a Brooklyn middle school. I love your planner. I really wish it was standard size because I write pretty big and it would be easier to print the regular sized paper. I am a bit nervous about entering the classroom and a great planner would be key to help someone like myself stay on task.

Just to clarify....when you make your own note pages, you take a regular sheet of printer paper, put in landscape, cut it in half and hole punch it?

I am a teacher at Head start and this is perfect to keep track of my students, goals, activities , what we focus on for small group activity as well as large group literacy. I just graduated from high school. I am taking a break from schooling for a few months, then I am going to go to college for teaching ECE and art. This is getting me so excited that I want to go back now! Great, no AMAZING ideas!
This is one of the best planner setups I have seen. I had two other things on my list: contact numbers for other staff members, and events (ballgames, concerts, assemblies, etc.). I hope you don't mind that I jotted notes while watching. :-)
I LOVE this. My teacher soul and my type A personality are both very impressed by this. I assume this is set up for middle level, yes? What recommendations would you make for secondary, or someone who prefers smaller fonts for their own comprehension? Or is this style more "pop"? Oh I love it!

I really like the way your planner is organized. You have included lots of the things teachers can use in their class. I am a floater, so a small planner is great to have. The only thing is that the smaller pages/sheet protectors are more expensive than the standard size. Good thing we get money from the county that helps with the expenses.
Great planner! It is compact, easy to carry and very thorough. A one place reference for the most used tools in an academic year. As a first year teacher for our newly created business program at our high school, I would love to receive a pdf copy to start on the right foot to a great year!! Thank you so much for sharing,!! Hi. I just purchased your inserts because I think they are great. I did not mind the fact that they are 2016-17. I am going to use this as my teacher planner for next year. I took my computer to Office depot and they could not figure out how to print it even follow the instructions provided step by step. Help please!!!!
