So much more enjoyable to hear the sounds of the mill and the saw singing in the wood than the music, but realize speeding up the video saves your upload time. Enjoyed the yellow poplar sawing video. Well done.
Those were nice boards coming off of both of those logs, Andruw. Whe you went to fast motion for the trims, I almost wanted to jump up and run around the house (almost!). Bill
Watch about getting those little short slabs out that gets down around the splitter or falls between the table and blade. I shortened up a couple fingers years ago like that.
When I saw for someone, I put the lumber on dry sticks and charge them .50 cents a stick, if they bring them back in good shape, I give them .40 cents ea. back, but no one ever brings them back! lol SR
That poplar had some nice colour to the heart wood. The head cam certainly provided a different point of view to the milling process. You'll have to give your video editor a raise, that was some good time lapse footage of edging the wane off the boards with the mill.
Hi Andruw's. The music that starts up when video first begins - - -I like it a lot. Are ye able to tell me who does it, so I can hear some more? Cheers - Rick from New Zealand.
Aha! I thought it was much older. All the set gearing look very tight and clean . You work together very well .I had the same idea on my first mill for pulling off the saw dust , "Link Belt" from an old horse drawn thresher.
I really enjoyed the head cam. Great job. Thanks for sharing.
