I’m going through a shitty divorce, I met an amazing girl in the process, I tried fighting it, but I knew I couldn’t d let her go, I randomly found this song at the same time, the lyrics hit home so hard….I knew I was smitten for her. That is all…just happy
I miss this group. I wish they stayed together.
I recently discovered this group awhile ago. I can't seem to get thru a single Alabama Shakes song without bawling my eyes out. That girl really can get me when she sings like that. My goodness what a voice! What a band!

I had the greatest pleasure of seeing the Alabama Shakes on my birthday this past month in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. They played a show to raise funds for Habitat For Humanity in building a home for April 27th tornado victims. They were incredible. Brittney's voice is completely unique and truly bending the standard of female vocalists nowadays. And every minute of their performance was infused with so much soul and energy. I just love 'em! They are great! And what a great birthday!
