I love all your videos but this one in particular. This video tells me several things. 1. Even professionals have failed attempts sometimes. 2 Trust the process, don't rush the process. 3. Trust your tools that you work with. 4. Trust your skill and knowledge. 5. Give it your all! Thank you so much for sharing your talent and skill. @@MountainRugCleaning You really stand out! Ironically this is one of my favourite cleanings so far. This was a very satisfying clean. Of all the rug cleaning channels I follow, yours is the most relaxing. The sounds, the visuals esp when you sweep that dirt away, down to the very attention to detail you put into pouring the liquid from the jug, the circular pattern made by the suds as the last drops trickle out, chef's kiss and an ASMR lovers dream. Thank you for all your hard work. 💕 Ps firs time commenting but probably the 100th time watching.
Thank you so much 😊 and thankyou for your lovely comment. Im glad all my hard work is being enjoyed. Getting a new mic for one camera. So i hope the sounds are even better for you.
I really appreciate the details in your comment. These details are what I think many of us if not most us take notice of and many additional ones as well.
Once again: I really appreciate the notes set into the video explaining what you're doing and why. In retrospect this rug probably could have benefited from being hung over a pole in the driveway and hosed down for 20 minutes to get the first level of dirt and grime removed before starting on the cleaning with machines.
You did an incredible job! I could barely tell there was any discoloration, especially after the water extraction. I know the title is partially for clicks, but don't beat yourself up about this one. You did great :)

Hardly a fail! You cleaned it and it looks amazing, you can barely see the stain! You honestly did an excellent job, not even sugar coating or just being nice or anything. Your process is such a thorough one and you do the greatest job at cleaning rugs. Well done, you should be proud of yourself either way for cleaning it as well as you have.
According to how the rug was filthy the end is just MARVELOUS James 🤩🤩 honestly I'm not able to notice the stain if you didn't mention it especially after all that process, sometimes I wish if you can clean rugs from other channels as for me your cleaning process is the BEST 😍😍😍 plus I like how you made the scenes from the close front cam more than before it's just so relieving also thank you for slowing the CRB part 💃🏻💃🏻👏🏼🤩 much love to you and your awesome channel James ❤️❤️❤️
Sometimes things are already too damaged to make them look new again, but that’s totally fine. You did everything you can and you should be proud of that not the perfection ☺️
No failure! That is one set in staining. Though the stubborn part of me would really like to try ozonated water 😁 which attacks stains at the molecular level. I've seen stains in clothing that had been set in for years go "Poof" after one washing. That's what they use in hospitals, hotels, and cruise ship laundries. The ozone breaks the protein molecule so the stains cannot stick to anything. It's also used for people's laundry who cannot tolerate the soaps and chemicals.
You're welcome! The process has been around for a long time. But, well... Imagine a washing machine that didnt need any product and got the clothes cleaner? All those companies that sell those products, really dont want people to figure it out.
Wow! That rug was so much dirtier than it looked! I don’t think you failed at all. After our house fire, I found some of our worst stains/odors came out only with a 12-24 hour soak of an oxygen booster. But your rug was definitely clean. I’m OCD about rug cleanliness (retired nurse with dogs… and a husband) so I only have area rugs. I would have gladly put that one in my entry way. Your work is the best I’ve seen on any of these cleaning videos!
As always you did a fantastic job. How rugs get so dirty is beyond me. The porch on my 12 year old house isn't dirty. But I thought maybe the stain was from a piece of furniture sitting there for years and maybe a spill under it just ruining the rug, it could have been some sort of dye.
I thought of you today while I was trying to scrape paint off a piece of furniture I’m refinishing. There were a few spots that were being stubborn and I thought about how you let the shampoo sit for a bit and how you use Dirt Reynolds twice etc. I kept the corse like you do and was successful. Thank you for the lessons and inspiration to keep going till it’s done!
Ooohhhh THAT stain. I know EXACTLY what that stain is. Dirty feet in front of a chair. Yeah, did PCA and home cleaning for years. Somebody came home, sat in their chair, frequently starting with their shoes still on, and sat. Multiply that by about 15-20 years and you get that staining. I've never seen anything take it out. Not even ammonia+peroxide bleaching. If you look closely you can actually see the clean outline of the recliner just above the staining area. So no, not a failure on your part.
Fantastic job! Had a similar situation. It turns out that many “store bought” (resolve) cleaners can break down dyes in rugs and people rubbing stains doesn’t help(blot don’t rub). I’ve had really good luck using a wet white towel and an iron. I’ve never cleaned one as bad as the you find though.
Awesome work as always, i love watching your vids a lot lately. I dont know whos editing but shoutout to em because its really relaxing to watch while simply being fun. Seeing the before after just kinda hits different when you see the process lol
The rug looks great and I get the disappointment with not getting the stain out completely. I work at a printing business and sometimes there are flaws in what is printed. The person buying the items may never notice the flaw but whoever works on it can only see what messed up. I mostly process jobs (collating/folding/packaging/etc.) I never really know when to get rid of something when the machine messes up.
Was it from a welder or mechanic? Although you probably can't use it on wool, a capfull of 3% peroxide in a cup of Greased Lightning will get welding fingerprints off a white fridge! And my skunk removal formula is equal parts detergent, baking soda, and peroxide. Worked really good on bedding after the hurricane too! The only other trick that I know of that you didn't use, was the enzyme dishwasher detergent. I had a client that works at a used store, and the clothes that were still stained after washing with detergent and oxyclean, she would soak overnight with dishwashing detergent in addition to the other two. Saved a ton of stained baby clothes.
Vinegar (gets out "slime" [borax + glue]) and Peroxide (blood and mold) are my go-to cleaners. Then Dawn dish soap (tomatoes) - not sure if they have that across the pond.
You did an amazing job and certainly did not fail, from what it was when you got, it to what it is now you did wonderfully and it's perfect, like the guy said it could've been burned and that is why it didn't come out but honestly you can't tell its there at all so don't beat yourself up about it x🤗👍👌💖
James, that rug came out a treat. Do you use hot water, during any of the cleaning stages? Maybe the use of really hot water, when trying the spot cleaning, would aid in loosening up that ground in dirt, from dirty bare feet? Just a thought.
It looks clean to me. I say "wow" or "incredible" about 7 times during your videos. Gets on my kids nerves, Lol, I'm impressed every time, even when you think it's a failure I'm still absolutely impressed. Well done

I always try to guess what color the rug is before you start and you stumped me again. Wow impressed with all that effort you tried to get that stain out and you did a great job I'd be way happy with the results if it were my rug. Another really great job!!😊
What I do for stains that won’t come out, I don’t do this much because it also removes a little bit of the fabric dye most of the time. Make a strong solution of oxyclean and detergent, work the solution into the stain thoroughly and leave the stained item to soak in the solution for two days making sure that the item is always completely wet, then agitate and wash as usual, rinse thoroughly making sure to remove all of the oxyclean and detergent. The extra soaking time while thoroughly saturated is what makes the difference, so it’s better to have the entire item in a place where you can submerge it into the cleaner.
EXCUSE ME... how on Earth did you fail? If you're talking about the barely noticeable stain that just blends in with the rug not coming out completely is not failure. I wouldn't notice that it was a stain at all. Look at the before and after you've done.. you can't tell me that's a fail. We are all our own worst critics which is why we sometimes need the feedback from others and all I see are positive. Pat yourself on the back. You work hard. Be proud of yourself. Ok, enough scolding you. Lol I really appreciate you going back over the rug with the scraper to get the lines of soap that were left behind every time in the video such as at 6:48. My OCD thanks you. Haha. I also love the front view of the squeegee, scraper and brush. AWESOME JOB JAMES

@@MountainRugCleaning Of course hun. Any doubt you may have, you come and find me.. I'll set you straight. 😉❤️ New brushing!? Ahhh, I am beyond excited. 😄🙌
That stain may have been some kind of dye if it somehow managed to hold up to your efforts. Whatever it is/was, it is beyond clean now too! That's a great signature of yours. Whatever condition the rug is in when you get it, it is cleaner than the day it was made when you're done with it.
Okay. I couldn't find the stain, and from what I saw in the beginning, the end result is a MILLION times better!! I would have bought that in a skinny minute! Job well done!
I think you did great!! Looks like my runner after my welder husband and mechanic son-in-law walked on it with oily dirty shoes. Maybe find out what the stain is in advance and have some powerful decreased on hand. Maybe a high powered steamer would help those types of stains too, you never know. I just know my runner was never the same.
Hi as someone who takes pride in their work I understand why you think you have failed, but as a customer who brought you it I would be pleased with the job knowing how bad it was to begin with, excellent job as always x
You are too hard on yourself! I would quite happily put that rug down in my living room, and I am known as a clean freak, lol. Let’s just say, “Well done, another great result for all your effort!” 👏👏
Not a fail. Video is awesome. Best ASMR sounds. This is my favorite video. Maybe an additional manual scrub or a focused manual scrub on the spot/stain would help.
I’m a fan of your videos and your growth in your videos, workspace and business is awesome. My favorite views are ones at 13:56. I’m always curious, how does your drainage system work?
You did not fail at all...!!! The owner of the rug failed to look after it in the first place.....this has not been used in a house, more likely used in a field of pigs. You sir did an amazing job 👏 👌
If it didn't come out the way you were hoping, I understand- you can't win 'em all. But your 'win rate' is crazy good already. I'm an artist by trade and oftentimes the mistakes I see in my own work don't even register to people, so maybe it's a similar situation for you. I can't even see the stain on the cleaned rug, it looks great to me!
Yeah i think that is the same for anyone's own work. You see the flaws that clients or others don't see. My friend couldn't see what i was talking about but it sticks out for me like a sore thumb haha
Ugh, you clean so well. Everything always comes out beautiful! If I bring my dirty attitude in, think you could clean that too?! Excellent job. Seriously!!!
You absolutely returned that rug in far better condition than it was given to you. That's not a fail. Next time, I recommend cold water and peroxide for red stains, and if it still remains, maybe an enzyme cleaner, like those used for cat urine. Good job and good luck.
Please don’t be too hard on yourself. This was an amazing clean. I think we all here in the comments have given the same comments. This was amazing and stunning.
That spot could be some residual or residue also if the water clean then it's already deep cleaned also try next time vacuuming the stain like that it could work but anyways you did your best and you did what you could to deep cleaned the rug 👍👍👍
I definitely don’t think this is a fail, the rug is brown so it’s probably gonna still look dirty even tho it isn’t 🙂 you did an amazing job! Love your videos and love the TikTok! I’m always watching these when I’m bored they are sooo satisfying ❤️‼️

Lol
I really appreciate you going back over the rug with the scraper to get the lines of soap that were left behind every time in the video such as at 6:48. My OCD thanks you. Haha. I also love the front view of the squeegee, scraper and brush. AWESOME JOB JAMES
Can always rely on you for an uplifting comment Christina ❤️ Thankyou. Glad you like the new camera angles. I have some extra special rug brusing coming up that im going to try. Hope you enjoy.
What an amazing transformation!
Wake up, new video. Yes.
I think the CRB machine needs a pair of googly eyes too! When the bubbles come out the front it looks like it's puking. So funny!
This rug looks so much better than before
Thankyou
I think you did great!!
Looks like my runner after my welder husband and mechanic son-in-law walked on it with oily dirty shoes. Maybe find out what the stain is in advance and have some powerful decreased on hand. Maybe a high powered steamer would help those types of stains too, you never know. I just know my runner was never the same.
Thank you! Might try that next time.
You didn't fail. That rug looks very nice. You and Mr. Whiskers should be proud.
Thankyou
I’m new to watching these satisfying videos. I have a silly question - why does the drain not empty faster?
Hi as someone who takes pride in their work I understand why you think you have failed, but as a customer who brought you it I would be pleased with the job knowing how bad it was to begin with, excellent job as always x
Thankyou. Its nice to know you would be happy with it.
You're my favorite of the carpet cleaner video makers 🙂
Aww thanks so much 😊 Always pleases me to hear this !
You are too hard on yourself!
I would quite happily put that rug down in my living room, and I am known as a clean freak, lol.
Let’s just say, “Well done, another great result for all your effort!” 👏👏
Thankyou very much. Its nice to know its good enough for a clean freak haha
Yeah. You did good. No doubt! Thanks for sharing a job well done! Blessings to all!!!
Thank you! You too!
Beautifully done James!
Thankyou !
Not a fail. Video is awesome. Best ASMR sounds. This is my favorite video. Maybe an additional manual scrub or a focused manual scrub on the spot/stain would help.
Thankyou. I am going to add some more manual brushing into my videos soon.
I’m a fan of your videos and your growth in your videos, workspace and business is awesome. My favorite views are ones at 13:56. I’m always curious, how does your drainage system work?
Thankyou. Ill try to get more of thoes in for you then.
Amazing job 👏🏻👏🏻🙌🏻
Thank you! Cheers!
Dude, that rug is cleaner than its been in a hot minute! Whirrbert earned his keep on that one 😉
Not a fail at all. As filthy as that right was, in the beginning, I am truly amazed how great it turned out.
How much does it cost to have a carpet like this cleaned? Would it be better to get a new carpet?
You did not fail at all...!!! The owner of the rug failed to look after it in the first place.....this has not been used in a house, more likely used in a field of pigs. You sir did an amazing job 👏 👌
I think it looks great! Good job not a failure!
Thank you! 😊
I love the eyes on the rotary
Makes me think that you should give it name (like harry or something) tbh
Name coming soon 👍
Hi, this was a good clean. Some people abuse their rugs and should not expect it to be restored to 'new'
Very true but im just finicky and like things to be perfect .
You get all the carpets clean and you make them shine to you do very good work😘🌹
You absolutely returned that rug in far better condition than it was given to you. That's not a fail. Next time, I recommend cold water and peroxide for red stains, and if it still remains, maybe an enzyme cleaner, like those used for cat urine. Good job and good luck.
20:05 - 20:13 something about this just made me very happy
we're our own worst critics
Wow man another amazing job 👏
Could’ve been damaged fibres or something permanent like hair dye or ink - there would be no removing that. Not a fail in my eyes
Thankyou. I just think it was layers upon layers of dirt.
Self suntanning lotion stains carpet permanently. Or it could have come from a crime scene 👻
That rug looks fantastic.
Just found this channel. I am amazed by so many things here not the least of which is HOW do these rugs get so dirty???
Do you shake the carpets before this procedure (so that they get rid of the dirt that can leave with a serious shake)?
Please don’t be too hard on yourself. This was an amazing clean. I think we all here in the comments have given the same comments. This was amazing and stunning.
Thankyou. I will try
omg. how dirty it is that you failed to clean it.
real question is , what's the owner did to this rug!?
*edited. sorry for my poor english*

That spot could be some residual or residue also if the water clean then it's already deep cleaned also try next time vacuuming the stain like that it could work but anyways you did your best and you did what you could to deep cleaned the rug 👍👍👍
Thanks for the tip.
Super job bud!! Loved this one!
Thankyou my friend
I definitely don’t think this is a fail, the rug is brown so it’s probably gonna still look dirty even tho it isn’t 🙂 you did an amazing job! Love your videos and love the TikTok! I’m always watching these when I’m bored they are sooo satisfying ❤️‼️
Awesome, thankyou for following on Tiktok and here. 🙏😚
I have only just seen this video. The before and after shots are great, however, I think that this rug could have had one more rinse. Thank you for sharing.
