The more interviews I watch of Waltz for Alita the more I like him, which is weird because I know I wouldn't want to spend even a brief moment being around him.
His annunciation, in any of the languages he speaks, is perfect. He is a modern actor able to create in any language and to see him in this Sci-fi, surrounded by technology, was a treat. I can hardly wait to see what's next for him. His abilities as a villain or a hero are equally thrilling.
Same! I just re-watched this film last night and honestly I don't think they could have done better with the casting. The soundtrack also seems to hit harder with the re-watches. Really hoping for the sequel.
It's funny to see that pretty much any interviewer seems so incompetent while interviewing Chirstoph Waltz. I also love how passionately he talks about Alita. Pure proffessionalism.
Mr. waltz, if you ever reed this, I admire the gentle, contained quality of your performance. Your character has good reasons to be protective, yet he adapts with grace.
I couldn't help but notice that red dot on his forehead, that flashbacked scene fron Alita (and from Ing. Basterds), when he sad he removed triangle from Zalem❤️
Ever heard "your answers are only as good as your questions" e.g Why Questions Are More Important Than Answers. Questioning is the art of learning. Learning to ask important questions is the best evidence of understanding there is, far surpassing the temporary endorphins of a correct “answer.” A bad question is sloppy-it doesn’t burrow anywhere, but bangs around and makes a troubling noise. No wonder Waltz doesn't like questions which don't indicate that the questioner put enough thought into it ;)
I always see comments about how Christoph Waltz doesn't answer questions because he thinks they're stupid, or that the interviewer is stupid, but a lot of the time I don't think this is the case. The questions he refuses to answer is from what I've seen, are asking him to give insight on the role he plays etc. He doesn't answer these questions as it goes against his artistic integrity as he believes that the audience should watch a movie and make decisions for themselves based on what they've seen, and not influenced by his insight. I think he just takes cinema as an art form v seriously with strict personal principles but I don't think he thinks all his interviewers are idiots!
I guess the whole set of environment is 3D scanned. once you capture in 3D you can go back and get any angle you want. just like time machine for cinema
My Dream Was always To Be A Film Star. But There is No Chance, Grades arent great. But What I find Completely Nonsense And unfair is, That even Kids In age 6 can be filmstars. Man That Kid surely Studied in mothers Tummy. Thanks to Those fair Filmstars
He really isn't, though. No actor likes answering stupid questions, and Europeans are far more direct than Americans. Yet he's still polite and still answers the questions he's asked. He just has a lot of respect for his craft, and that doesn't make him egotistical.
Mr. Waltz is an eloquent artist. A treat to listen to his insights.
Multilinguals tend to be that way.
Christoph does not suffer fools easily. Another reason why I love him and his work.
I’m getting so much Hans Landa Vibes from him lmao.
Waltz is a true Master of his Craft.
I never get tired of listening to Waltz, such a talented artist.
I just want to grab a beer with him and listen to all of Christoph’s stories!

Christoph Waltz is the perfect father to Alita. I like him a lot !

He sold the role so well, he was a huge element of this movie and cannot imagine anyone doing it better.

I hugely respect to Mr. Waltz. He is the one of the best of his era.
“Thank you father”-Alita
That simple line was ao touching

Well said. He did just that; while it caused him pain, eventually he realizes the inevitable.
Amazing interview, I really enjoyed this :) thanks for sharing
Christoph is always a class act.

Christoph Waltz hates answering questions.
He hates answering dumb questions
@@playermartin286 exactly! And a lot of interviewers nowadays ask stupid questions and assume too much
HE WILL BE ASKING ZEE QUESTIONS!

The interviewer feels so incompetent.
@@JonathanM-JMart nah he's usually weak in general.
@@BoucherRaphael I challenge you to find a junket interviewer who actors like to be interviewed by better than Frosty or Perri

Either give us Alita 2 or re-release Alita Battle Angel in Theaters again. lol
I would love if they could do both!!! I'd watch them back to back lmao
His body language reminds me of Hans Landa.
Lol christoph is like you ducking guys give me this weirdo to interview me
I still see hans landa
Waltz wasn’t too crazy about Frosty
Where is the strudel? With the cream.
Oh no, don't do this to my mouth right now😃
Dr Ito has a German accent?
well he's german so yes
@@Jushwa It was a sarcastic question.
He looks like Jonathon Pryce.
Waltz has talent, but he is an egomeniac.
Agreed I thought he might of been ticked off in another interview but all his interviews are like this LOL.
