This week on POLYCOSM we're continuing the Concept Creation series and doing some modular design! In this first part we cover how to create and kitbash modular assets for our fantasy thieves guild, and in the next, we'll model more unique items.
Also, stick to the end for a little blooper. 😋

WANT TO LEARN HOW TO BECOME A MASTER SCULPTOR IN BLENDER?
In order to learn how to sculpt in Blender, I took a CG Boost course called "Mastering Sculpting in Blender". Zach Reinhardt covers literally EVERYTHING you need to know about sculpting in Blender, and a bit more. If you're interested in levelling up your sculpting skills quickly, I couldn't recommend a better course than this.

POLYCOSM aims to bring you high quality tutorials looking into concept creation from a 2D AND 3D perspective. The channel is run by Freelance artists Christina Myrvold and Omercan Cirit who both work in the entertainment industry on a full-time basis.
We want to share tips and tricks, show you how to come up with creative ideas, use reference efficiently and showcase different 2D and 3D workflows. (And especially a combination of both!)
If you’re interested in purchasing any of the 3D models made in our videos, or want to download some freebies, make sure to visit our online store:

Guys I missed the bloooper, watch till very end, it's jaw dropping or maybe something else
Haha! Jaw dropping? More like... bone dropping... 😂
@@POLYCOSM 😂😂😂
Good tips and techniques... thanks for sharing!
Awesome stuff 🥰 you rock!
Aww, thanks Matheus! 😄
Instead of using boolean for the torch mounts you should have just inset the top and bottom then used the Bridge Edge loops command
Haha, yeah, I’m clearly not a professional modeler 😂
I'm super new to blender but i have a lot of background in modeling on other platforms, specifically furniture! so this helped a bunch :o) tysm going to have to binge watch all the rest!
Amazing video as ussual! Thanks again for showing your process.
Aww, thanks Yori! 😄😁
I love your channel so much ! this is exactly what I'm searching for for a very long time, keep going your amazing job :) btw why did you choose unreal over unity ? I heard that unity was better for stylised environments, but I don't know much about it, what do you think ?
I love the torches
They were really fun to make! :3
This series is amazing!
Btw booleans are great but you can end up with dodgey topology when using them.
So glad you’re enjoying our series! 😄
Ah, that’s an excellent point - I should have mentioned that in the video!
so cool! love yourtutorials! its amazing how much information you put in such a short format, if only I could do the same for mine hehe
Aww thanks, haha! I sometimes wonder if it’s too much information in such little time, so I really appreciate the feedback! 😄🙌
@@POLYCOSM never its too much information, but its amazing how you guys compress it
Another amazing video I wish I could contribute I would love to model a small prop and have it floating somewhere in the scene hah
Aww, thanks dude! 😄 Oh man, we’d love that! Feel free to model whatever you want and we can give you a little shoutout 😁
@@POLYCOSM aww no way umm 🤔 what kinda thing are you needing??
Anything medieval fantasy-related you’d like to model, really! You can take a look at Omercan’s concept art from the previous vids and see if anything catches your fancy 😌
that is some IKEA shit
