Finding a new best friend is such an important part of healing after grieving the loss of a pet. It's hard to move on from our babies, but I'm so happy to hear you're caring for a special needs doggie. She's so lucky to have you and your husband!
im really happy you two are taking care of a disabled pup! btw you can say she is disabled ,saying special needs its quite a mouthful and most ppl wont be offended by it, she has multiple disabilities due to her breeding and upbringing, so i hope you two can give her a fullfilling life adapted to her needs!
As a special education teacher my only word of advice is to say a “dog with special needs” or “a dog with disabilities” but at the end of the day it’s a dog not a human so idk if person first language really needs to apply here🤣🤷🏼♀️

Bless you guys for taking on the challenge of caring for a dog with disabilities. I had a deaf pup with anxiety, PTSD, and nerve damage, and I've had 2 cats with birth defects. It is NOT easy to do, but the moments when you can tell they are in less pain and enjoying life more are SO worth it!! Best of luck to you guys and your new doggo!! 🥹🫶🏾

I truly believe that disabled dogs know that you are taking extra special care of them. I had a dog with incontinence for almost 10 years and she wore a diaper inside. She was the sweetest dog ever and i wouldn't change a thing about my time with her 💜💜💜 so happy you found Mabel and you and David are awesome dog parents

I LOVE Halara!!!! Also, so glad you and david are taking care of yourselves and your new pup! I have experience with doctors not believing me. Specifically, a doctor in the ER told me the chest pain i was experiencing was just a oanic attack (which i felt wasn't the case because i had struggled with panic attacks for years prior) and discharged me. Then a few hours later, a radiologist called me and told me that when they double checked my x-ray, they saw that my lung had actually collapsed, and i had to go back to the hospital for treatment. I was so upset and felt so invalidated.
Please go see the specialist. Even if it's nothing, you won't know it's nothing until you get it checked out. Thank you for chatting and updating us, I really enjoy these videos, I'm sending love and positive vibes to you and your family ❤
Such a cute puppy! I had a puppy that was born with a spinal injury. It never effected him but we noticed something was wrong when he was a baby. He would spin when trying to walk. We thought it was the cutest thing until he began to grow. His head was always tilted and he would walk to the side. As he aged he got much better except his head tilt. He’s now adopted and living his best life just the way he is ❤ Mable is in the best care.
i see many dogs like mabel at work, and they are always so sweet and kind. inbreeding is disgusting and the people abusing these poor animals need to be charged. i’m glad you guys are giving her the love and care she deserves
Its so amazing when you get a doctor that actually listens to you, like really *listens* and takes your concerns seriously. It really does makes a difference when you can work with your dr rather that just being told what to do.

Statistically proven, women's health is one of the most underfunded, mistreated and misdiagnosed areas. I love this video so much! My dog, Gracie, is a GSD and Husky mix. I’ve had her since 2017 and last October she tumbled down a couple of our stairs, since then she was diagnosed with IVDD and myelopathy. She was paralyzed for a few months and now she’s walking again, at 8 years old and after the neurologist said she would likely never WAG HER TAIL AGAIN! ❤
My bother who just passed away last year had a great Pyr! And 2 newfies lol they are still at home w his wife since he passed... they got her from the same rescue you work with! They are great dogs. We live in ct so it gets very very cold with lots of snow. It can be 2 feet of snow and negative Temps & she will want to lounge around outside and nap in the snow! Good luck getting her to stay inside during the cold months! Lol You and David are so wonderful & caring ppl with so much love to give!! She's the luckiest pup ever to have found you guys ❤

I adopted a new cat and he has so much energy. He's about 3 years old. I was used to 20 year old, sick cat energy. Now I have this little spit fire to chase around the house, which can be exhausting, but it's so nice having a baby to share my love with again. I still cry almost every single time I think of my other cats. I just miss them so intensely and I know you can relate. I'm glad your doggy found someone like you who is willing to put in the time to care for her extra needs!🩷

Then they found out my kitchen tile was asbestos🤦🏼♀I had a team with the dryers in my house, packing team and asbestos removal team all come in over two days. When they were done, I not only had no cabinets, but no floor either. Im in a mobile home, so all that you saw was dirt, lol! Fortunately I was able to have sub-floor put in quickly, but its still going on. Insurance really sucks to deal with. Its been over a month and a half now, lol! Anyway, all the best to you guys with your new furbaby💐See ya in the next vid. Im almost to it😂 PS: Im much older than you and David, so I totally get the whole doctors making you second guess yourself thing. I have several physical and mental disabilities and see a few different specialists on a monthly or even weekly basis. I get it girl! But remember, we know ourselves better than anyone, so don't ever feel you're being dramatic Em. Its far better to check out your concerns than getting no answers at all and going nuts. Don't ever let anyone make you feel bad about that. And poor David. I have had a permanant retainer now on my lower front teeth for over 30 years and I grind. So, I asked the Orthodontist to make me a removable upper retainer with a thick acrylic palet so my uppers and lowers dont touch when I sleep. But before that my dentist tried to convice me to do a lower bite block, but I was afraid it would pull out my permanant brackets. Teeth aren't cheap, right?! He nagged me until I said ok, then he almost choked me to death when making the mold. Of course it didn't work, duh! We know ourselves best. Anyway, sorry this was a novel. I dont usually write comments at all, but you touched on so much I can relate to. So sorry im watching this late, but the issues with my kitchen had me backed up by like 54 videos. I normally watch them all in one day.🤣❤💐xoxo

My friends dad has three of those Great Pyrenees dogs. They are the sweetest and most laid back dogs ever. But they are HUGE!! It’s like having a small pony up in your house. 🤣 I’m barely over 5 ft and I could probably ride one like a horse. 🤣🤣🤣 And they are such babies they still think they can be all up in your lap. ☺️ Congrats on getting her!

So, I asked the Orthodontist to make me a removable upper retainer with a thick acrylic palet so my uppers and lowers dont touch when I sleep. But before that my dentist tried to convice me to do a lower bite block, but I was afraid it would pull out my permanant brackets. Teeth aren't cheap, right?! He nagged me until I said ok, then he almost choked me to death when making the mold. Of course it didn't work, duh! We know ourselves best. Anyway, sorry this was a novel. I dont usually write comments at all, but you touched on so much I can relate to. So sorry im watching this late, but the issues with my kitchen had me backed up by like 54 videos. I normally watch them all in one day.🤣❤💐xoxo

My friends dad has three of those Great Pyrenees dogs. They are the sweetest and most laid back dogs ever. But they are HUGE!! It’s like having a small pony up in your house. 🤣 I’m barely over 5 ft and I could probably ride one like a horse. 🤣🤣🤣 And they are such babies they still think they can be all up in your lap. ☺️ Congrats on getting her!
