the Oikawa scene will never not give me goosebumps. i have wtached it at least 10 different times already. that set, that stumble and getting up again after falling on the table. his arc is one of the greatest things about this story
Iwaizumi has to be one of the most solid people in Haikyuu, in addition to Daichi. Seeing him going hard for the saves is so amazing but also heartbreaking because it's not just Oikawa's last year, it's also Makki, Mattsun and his.

Personally, I love watching the openings each episode because humans’ emotions and senses really work in amazing and incredible ways. On top of the openings really hyping me up (even more) before the episodes, what I love more than anything is that I start to associate my happiness, excitement, emotional feelings from the episodes with the openings. A few years down the road, when you hear the openings, you will be surprised that your heart remembers it first. You may take a second or 2 to recall what song is that but your heart remembers the feeling IMMEDIATELY. I really love how good that feels and wish that good feeling on everyone.

Apologies in advance for the long comment because I already know I'm gonna write way too much... But firstly, I just want to mention how much I love that Yahaba & Kyoutani moment, it always gives me goosebumps. What we've seen of Yahaba so far was him and Kindaichi kinda talking shit about Karasuno back in s1, and him staring at Kiyoko and Yachi, so understandably, like Kyoutani said too, he might seem a bit shallow or superficial (and he didn't even disagree with that either lol), but he really does respect his senpais and Oikawa, and since he knows this might be their last official match as a team, he absolutely won't let anyone ruin that for the third years. Which I can really respect, honestly. He said exactly what Kyoutani needed to hear, it's such a cool scene. Kyoutani probably never felt like he belonged anywhere, he just simply played on the same team as some other guys because you can't play volleyball alone. But now he's hopefully experiencing that sense of belonging and relying on your teammates, trusting them... Oikawa will be gone next year, but Seijoh will still be a scary opponent! Oikawa pointing at Iwaizumi and that amazing super long toss is also one of my favourite Haikyuu moments, it was so hype! It was animated so well too, how he crashed into the chairs and then stumbled a bit as he desperately tried to get back to the court as soon as possible. I really wanted them to get that point, honestly... Also, the fact that Oikawa saw where Hinata was going to hit at the end, and might've gotten it if the blockers didn't touch it... He's so insane. Seijoh is definitely one of my favourite teams, both because I'm simply emotionally attached to them, and also because I really like their style. They're a team with amazing teamwork, they're very strategic, they adapt easily to any kind of opponent, they're a team that'd always be really exciting and entertaining to watch. So these episodes kinda hurt no matter how many times I rewatch them, I always end up hoping Seijoh would somehow win this time😆 I can't even be hyped for Karasuno until season 3 starts, I always feel more connected to Seijoh's tears, and Karasuno's cheers seem more distant. That's not to say I'm not happy for Karasuno though, I'm just really sad that Seijoh never made it to nationals because man, they deserved it so much. But no matter how good both teams are or how much they both deserve victory, one still has to lose, and it just happened to be them this time. By season 3 though, I'm always extremely hyped for Karasuno's victory because they deserved it so much too, and I'm super proud of them. The s3 match is honestly kinda unique for me because it's the only time I'm not rooting for their opponent at all, not even a little bit. Not because I hate them or anything, I just really don't like their style of volleyball and their coach's ideals, but I won't get into it now because this comment is already a mini essay and I still have stuff to say, lol. So next I just wanna talk about that Oikawa and Ushiwaka moment. So fucking cool, also one of my favourites! I'm so happy for Oikawa, that he's sure of what he's doing and that he never regretted coming to Seijoh. Honestly I don't think he would've enjoyed Shiratorizawa's style either. I absolutely love how he stands up for himself and his decisions in that moment, and that expression on his face is iconic, it reminds me of the times Hinata gets super serious. Like when he talked to Ushiwaka at the beginning of this season. And finally, the extra scene! I'm so glad you watched it, for me it's probably the most emotional scene in the whole show so far. I love how the third years went back to play volleyball without even realizing it until they were already there, and Oikawa thanking them always makes me sob too... Not to mention his scene with Iwaizumi later, it's so emotional and bittersweet and wholesome and just ugh, I love it. They're always kind of jokingly bullying each other, but their bond is so strong. And honestly huge respect to Oikawa for responding normally because if I was him in that moment, I probably either would've started sobbing or proposed to Iwa-chan right then and there, or both at the same time, so I respect the self-control lmao. So anyways! Sorry for this long ass comment, and I'm looking forward to s3!

To add to your first paragraph, I have been thinking why author chose Yahaba to be THAT person and I think the answer is becuase Yahaba is the 2nd year setter and Kyoutani is the 2nd year ace. When Oikawa and Iwazumi retired after this match, Yahaba and Kyoutani will be the new "Oikawa" and "Iwazumi" for Sejouh next year. So author shows us their relationship not only for this match, but also indicates Sejouh will be good next year as well
I don’t think this is a spoiler you would mind. But ushijima says in the manga that he’s only this good because he’s lucky. He doesn’t say anything else after that actually 😂 he views hinata as very unlucky. The environment his seed was planted on isn’t ideal for what he wants to achieve. Yet hinata insists that he can grow higher than anyone, even if he grew from concrete. Ushijima thinks hinata is being unreasonable but it’s not for bad reasons, nor good reasons. He just thinks it’s illogical for hinata to so confidently say “I’ll win” despite everything against him
