Your BABY TALK had me rolling! I needed that laugh this morning! When do we NOT need to laugh? Right?!? Another educational video with humor and STYLE! Hugs from HUMID Texas!
You can talk like a baby to anything if you want to! It just shows how precious you know everything is. We don't take anything that we have for granted.
I also am growing Carbons! (Purchased from Baker Creek) It's my biggest producer and just picked my first ripe one today actually. They are yielding more than my other other varieties and they are very large. Tomorrow she's becoming my first tomato sandwich of the year! 🙌
Patara, your videos help keep me going. Love visiting with you! Keep doing what you are doing! I get the humidity! I'm in East Texas. I can take the heat, but the humidity is miserable.
Honey talk to those precious little baby beans lol 😆. You crack me up. I love your sense of humor when you talk about the (crazy), special people. God bless
Hunnychild I lak the way you do it. I love your channel, can tell y'all are blessed. I went to Texas one time and they asked me, where you from your accent sounds deeper south than ours? I said Virginia, that's a true story. I like the way you talk. Peace, joy and protection over you, your family, your animals and your property, love from Virginia
Lmbo love your videos. I'm glad I'm not the only one with weeds I moved Tennessee and it's been nothing but raining and hard to try to keep up with it. Have to watch your video on native garden. I trim my tomatoes as well just did video and have so many cherry tomatoes. Just love watching your video. I learn so much from you. Thanks for sharing video and make me smile😊
Love the sister goat! She is adorable💕Really enjoy your videos, even though I live in Utah in the city, love watching the animals. You have a wonderful garden. I have never seen blueberry bushes before so was real excited to see them. Thanks so much!!
I have a small garden. But I planted my tomatoes this year and last, with an egg,Epsom salts and time release fertilizer as you did.Well,I sure got lots of compliments on how good those tomatoes were:-) I also got a cattle panel and trim them, they do a LOT better. I am in Michigan,we have been hot and humid. Thanks for sharing. Donna
I'm in Michigan, zone 5, and we have had so much rain lately. So it had been 3 days before I could go out and everything was so full, I just started chopping away. Then it rained again for another 2 days and so I went out today and started chopping again. I have loads of tomatoes, none ripe, but they are beautiful. I didn't get a trellis up so I've been staking my tomatoes and the stakes are not strong enough, they toppled over. I did my best to pick them up and get them tied up, they look so much better but wow! We have high humidity too, and with the rain, wow!
I love you and the way you show real life on your farm... Your humor is flawless.. I absolutely get a kick/joy with your baby talk.... I do it too ;) KEEP BEING YOU PATARA........ God bless
We would love some rain in Idaho. Really bad heat wave with temps up to 105 for weeks. I took my quilting muslin and unneeded curtain panels and covered my whole garden. I used bamboo stakes, curtain rods and binder clips to hold the fabric off the plants. It's working and I'm eating and sharing. I constantly prune everything to reduce the stress on the plants.
You just keep right on talking that way, it has become a habit for me now...I now talk to all the baby animals that are babies ...they're so precious and they love it 😀 !!!
SW Ohio....our humidity will challenge your Christianity it's so bad lol. If I didn't prune, they'd be dead a month ago lol. I absolutely love your videos and the sheer production and straight up advice you offer. Thank you!
Hello Patara You warm my heart I just love the way you care so kindly for your animals & how you talk so sweet to each one 👍 wow Anoli is getting so big 😁 Your garden is lovely as well Take care
You’re hilarious!! I love how you talk to your pets and plants!! I got so tickled when you called the baby goat “girlfriend” she looked up at you like “huh?”
You crack me up, Ms Patara! I especially like it when you talk baby talk to the goats and the green beans!! Too funny, girl friend! Love ya! ♥️❣️🙏🏼❣️♥️
I have girl cat that looks simular to yours, she's technically a stray that showed up, I called her mama but she comes to the name skunk face. She perked up one day when I called her that so that it is.
Amen! Pruning tomatoes in Tennessee is a must! I live in Knoxville and if I don't prune my tomatoes, I regret it. Love your videos and humor. I will never have a Instagram garden either. And yes,, it's the dang humidity that kills you.. Keep on trucking through this summer.
Love, love, love your videos! Living here in SC, I truly understand what you're saying about the humidity. I've been pruning my tomatoes too. Mine are all in 5 gallon buckets, with the round tomato cages. I have clips that I found at the Dollar Tree that I'm using to keep some of the branches where I want them. I've just had to pull out my cucumber plants, sadly the wet, and the heat did a number on them.
I grew Black Krim one year and picked the first one on the day my knitting group was coming to my house. I had dessert set out and sliced that tomato for the ladies to try too. After she'd tried a slice, one lady said she'd pass on the dessert and eat the tomato, thank you, it was that good. I love you talking to your plants. I have a Peacock Ginger and one year she was a bit slow to appear so I told her that she was taking up valuable real estate and if she didn't appear soon something else was going in her spot. It's amazing but the next day there were 12 little shoots popping up from the ground. I've done that every year since and it never fails although this year was different as we had that terrible freeze back in February here in Houston. Then before I noticed her she got trampled by my neighbor fixing a hole in my roof (something was trying to take up residence) and when I found her she had two half leaves. I moved her and she is now growing nicely in her new spot. And yes, I still talk to her.
🎶Write this down, take a little note🎶 Totally agree. Beautiful garden. Love Black Krim. Never grown Cherokee Purple...until this year. Both growing in my garden.
I live in Georgia and trust me I hear you about that humidity and rain. Went out today and my tomatoes are getting a hair cut in the morning! Your grass path I call a green path. I leave it! Your garden looks great! By the your baby talk is one reason I love your channel!
Hi Patara, I grow only herbs and flowers at my house but I enjoy your content. I originally from Boston but live in South Fl the last 29 years and still have my park the car in the Harvard Yard. You are great. Warmest Regards, Pattie McQ
Aloha Patara! We have alot of tomato this year. Also lettuce & green onions. Thank you for all your tips. Appreciate it very much! Please take care! Aloha!

daaaang!!!! Adding it to the "things I wish I knew" lol CLEAN YOUR TOOLS!!! I lost 100 tomato plants to fungi, (blight) BEFORE June. I'm eastern NC so I just re started with 120 days left to grow. I am bringing this info with me. Thank you sooooooo much!!!!
I was getting a kick listening to you talk to your garden after you commented on why you were doing it. LOL ... especially since it's sooo much better than what I deal with on the daily at my desk. I love listening to you while I work. You keep me smiling - and then people are wondering why I'm smiling.
I live in Wisconsin and had zero success with tomatoes until I watched a video of yours years ago about pruning. I prune. No blight issues since and despite all the challenges I do have, esp. this year--my plants are healthy, beautiful, and flowering.
Lots of rain here in NE Ohio too. Pulled shallots cuz thought they would rot in the ground. Anyway lil goat is still cute as can be. You keep up the videos cuz I learn something new every time! Blessings to you and your family🙏
OMG I actually snorted when you said you look like you should be in a Whitesnake video but you wouldn't be doing cartwheels across a Jaguar. Like I LITERALLY snorted out loud!!!
Lol! Thank you. Zone 7 Alabama is definitely not the same as zone 7 Washington state! I'm learning... best crop of cucumbers I've ever grown has been out here in AL.
Patera? You taught me how to prune and control my tomatoes a few years ago. I'm almost your neighbor on Lookout Mtn AL walking distance to Little River Canyon so it's gets humid here especially with all this rain we've had this year. As soon as I see any yellow? It's off. I keep them opened up so air can get in and they can breathe and not get disease. So thank you! You taught me to prune tomatoes hunny! and I get plenty, actually A ton of them with pruning. I'm growing lots Roma's for making sauce this year and canning the others regular to make whatever. Lol Thanks hun.
Right after you first mentioned grass clippings my son mowed the lawn and asked where to dump them. I said around the tomatoes. He piled them all the way up to the bottom leaves! 😂 It works! They really took off after that!
Yes!!! I’ve went back and started writing down recipes recently for everything we would need in an emergency. Did you get your wood cook stove installed yet or did I miss it? I had mine delivered in April but our home build had slowed down due to a shortage of building materials but now it’s getting closer. It will be installed soon.

Great tutorial on pruning tomatoes, and this is what I needed today... many thanks.
I with you girl on the weeds….rain in Tennessee produces weeds. It is so hard to keep up but I’m still getting produce.
I am glad I am not the only one. The weeds!
Always enjoy seeing you there's been years my garden looked similar got to do what you got to do.
